They were good. We would use them again.

They have electrical and plumbing. I have a contract with them, so it’s part of the annual contract. The contract cost just a little under $300. They are prompt and they do well. My interactions with them was very good. The work they did turning out very good.

Came out the day of the job to tell me they could not do the job for the price they quoted.

The whole house here is surge protected through the main control panel box and then I got double protection on top of that. They put that one in.

I'm on a yearly membership. They come out twice a year, once for heating and once for air conditioning. Then they do a other check up of them coming out and with no cost they'll check your electrical outlets and stuff and your plumbing stuff. It's all in the yearly contract. I've had them since I move up here. I just never went with anybody else. The first impression of the company was that they were on time and they exactly knew what they were doing. If they had to replace something they replaced it because some things are better on the contract too that you don't have to pay for any of that. The people are so courteous and polite you know, I just like them.

They didn't charge me because I already paid them $1000 for the first time they came out. They were nice enough but just didn't do the job right the first two times. They probably need more guys with experience. If I got this last guy again, I would probably use them again. He left the area clean. He did a good job.

I have a contract with Michael's & Sons. They did it on a Sunday. I think the price was fair. It took them 3 to 4 hours to install and it was just 1 man. The area was left very clean.

They didn't try to sell me a knew unit. They fixed the one I already had. They came out fast, called 15 minutes before they arrived and arrived on time.

They were good but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The gentleman that put the water heater in and then he started looking at my electrical outlets and he said they weren't up to grade so I had them put in. At that time they had unplugged my freezer. I hardly every used my freezer so about 5 months later, I went to put some stuff in my freezer for the summer and I discovered that they had unplugged it. Basically, that was my problem.

Hank Skipper, electrician, determined that an electrician installing a recessed light for me earlier in the week had accidentally cut the line to the outlets. Determining where the line was took considerable investigation since I live in a condominium and the line was above the ceiling and extended across several rooms. Hank explored many theories before finally cutting a very precise square in the ceiling in order to install a junction box for the repair. Then he carefully fixed the hole so that a drywaller/painter could follow up. He carefully explained everything to me as he went along. He was polite and professional. This was my first call to Michael and Sons, as a home care customer, and I am very pleased.

Worker was very skilled. In and out within an hour. And for that I paid almost $700.00. Feel like I was ripped off by needed it installed that day. They weren't able to quote a price over the phone. I don't understand why they couldn't have at least given me a range of what to expect ahead of time, especially since they have everything computerized and the worker was able to quickly pull up the estimate as soon as he got to the house and saw what I needed, which was exactly what I told the people on the phone. I will not use them again, ever. Basement was already pumped dry before the plumber came.

This was a total mess. The plumber told us it would be two hours and they would be out there. Four hours later, the guy comes in, looks at it, and I thought they were going to patch it right then, and tells me what they are going to charge me to do it. So I agree to the price. Then he reschedules me to come back a couple days later. They came in at 11:30-12 and worked until 5. The poor guy didn't know what he was doing. He didn't know how to tile the background. It took like five days to get this done. He did such a bad job. He didn't know how to grout or caulk. He was still there at 10:00pm on night. I had to call the owner and tell him to leave. He promised me he would come back the next day at 9am. He gets there at 10:30 and decides he doesn't have the tools that he needs. So he goes to get them and gets back at noon. It was just a total disaster. So I called the company that night and they promised they would have someone call me the next day regarding this. Never heard back from them that day. The next day they called me and made me pay it. I ended up having the guy come out and look at how horrible the job was and the girls still couldn't take a shower. So when the guy comes out, he looks at it and says, "well what do you want me to do." I said fix it! So I took pictures, sent them to the company, and they said I'll send a head service guy out to make a recommendation. And they sent out the same guy! They really need to find people who know what they are doing. I think that was the companies fault. Not the gentleman's fault. They needed to send an experienced worker. I will never use them again.

The plumber was very nice. He explained everything. He told me exactly what was going to happen next. They tried to get restoration services there that day because he had put a whole in the shower. The only shower in the house with three girls. But they couldn't come out. If we would have known the issues and what would happen with our shower, we would have planned and prepared to not have our shower for a few days. I would not use this company again. Even though the plumbing was good, the rest of the services ruined it for them.

They were horrible. I will never, ever use them again. Horrible quality. They kept trying to upsell me. Such bad service. Their follow up was horrible. The owner was so blazae about the whole service. I expected to get good customer service for what I was paying them. He wasn't interested in working on my stuff. He just went in and glanced at it. I paid him $95 for him to come in and try to sell me something else. The guy was very personable and professional. He was very nice. I just felt like I was being sold to. He really needed to look at my system and tell me how I can fix mine. Rather than just telling me I needed a new one. The one thing that was good, is he was there right on time. I would not use them again in the future.

This visit went well. Serviceman was efficient.

It has been good. He was a hard worker and showed up early and worked all day. He was very professional and even covered his shoes when he was in my house. He was clean and respected my house. I have no complaints. The job took 2 days.

Initially, they sent out a electrician, despite us requesting plumbing services. He wanted us to replace the panel that controls all the electrical (quoted $2,500). The subsequently sent out a plumber who quoted us $2,500 for plumbing services (replacing the water heater, sump pump, sump pump switch etc.). Once we got our estimates, we told them we would think about it. After some consideration, we reached out to the provider and we never got any call back. We ended up using other providers, and some of the suggestions Michael & Sons Service Inc made were deemed unnecessary. It seems as though they weren't interested in doing any work under the $2,500 price... Buyer beware!

It was a mixed bag. Some people were just looking to make work to make more money, and other workers were honest with their quality and told me I didn't need anything repaired. I would try not to use them again, but if I had no other option I would use them again.

Came and gave an estimate for hooking up a new stove to an existing gas line. Quoted over 500.00. I asked over the phone if I could get a rough idea of what I would spend. They said no its 30 dollars to come out and they will give you an estimate. I believe this is their business plan. Charge people 30 dollars and hope people will just go ahead and do the work since they are there. Terrible. I was able to get the same work done 1 hour later for 150.00 on a Sunday.

I've used Michael and Sons for a few years now, complete with service agreements, etc. I've always known they were overpriced, but you typically get great support for essentially any project you need worked on. This situation is ending my relationship with them however. My water leak was originally diagnosed as a foundation problem, which I disagreed with, but decided they knew better than me since they're the pros. They sold mold remediation services, a foundation repair and water proofing job, and a sump pump/french drain system. Total cost here was around $7000. After the first job completion, I framed out the room, insulated, hung drywall, had other electrical work done, etc. Right before mudding, I stuck my hand in the wall and found it to be completely soaked again. They came back and ripped out all my work, framing, etc, then redid the entire water proofing, this time cementing the entire wall versus the cheap and lazy foam spray the first time. The quality of work was 10 fold, which made me wonder why they half assed it the first time. They also redid the drain in the ground, and installed a mitre wall. The next time it rained, the room was soaked again... These attempted fixes dragged on from January until probably May or so, and they finally admit the issue was siding/front door area of the home as I had suspected. At that point, the project manager basically told me, "our contract was for a sump pump, goodbye". He did even attempt to charge me more or fix the problem I actually called them about, just said they were done. I then escalated it through his management, and they did the right thing and sent teams out to work on the exterior problems. They've now been back probably 10 times attempting to seal areas around the door and siding, but the issue has persisted. No real effort though, just a piece of flashing and a bunch of caulk. The room with the leak is now bug infested, missing framing on one of the walls, requires plumbing work, has half a cut up mitre wall, and is still wet every time it rains. Oh, and I repeatedly requested they remove piles of soggy insulation, chunks of wood, drywall, and various other supplies from my home with no luck. At one point they took the insulation, but I basically had to carry it out to their truck and insist. I've now left a voicemail or two, some text messages, and a few phone calls without my contacts getting back to me, thus the review. The one thing I will give them is that they haven't attempted to charge me any more money since the initial overpriced/misdiagnosed initial contract.

It didn't. When you call you get their call center, they charge a dispatch fee of $29 just to send someone out. The call center is not able to provide any information about what they charge for the service you need; you have to wait until their plumber is on site. Every other plumber I called was able to provide general estimates. I didn't want to waste my time and money having someone come out and either not be able to do the work I needed or give me an exorbitant cost.

The thermostat wasn't working properly and he had to come out twice, and then they finally replaced it. I guess the price is fair. They finally did fix it. They came when they were supposed to come and when they made an appointment.

excellent repairs and services are under a maintenance agreement that are usually covered at no extra expense

What is the value of contract with Michael & Son when the agreement states 24 priority service. Not much when the next service date is 96 hours, not to mention that all systems were operating fine until after the tech came out to complete the tune up inspection. probably will not be renewing the contract!
