MCL is absolutely fantastic- they repaired, sanded, and stained all the hardwood floors in our house. The floors look amazing! We weren't sure if they could be salvaged, but Brenda and her team did an incredible job. They are reasonably priced, very responsive, and expert in what they do. I would trust them with any job, and they even did my parents floors as well! I wish they did more than just floors :)

MCL was responsive, professional, and punctual. The gave my 30yr old step new life. So happy and grateful. The also had white glove service. The area was meticulously cleaned after all work was completed. Looking forward to working with them in the future.

It went very well. Brenda was able to coordinate refinishing the upstairs and downstairs hardwood floors in a reasonable turnaround for a rental property. Pet stains had to be removed and were almost invisible after the job was finished. I was very happy. In addition, the floor techs were pleasant and on time. What a different floor!

I am very happy with MCL Floor. From their professionalism & candor, skill and knowledge, it was a win-win-win. I really enjoyed working with them, it was one of the best contractor experiences I have had. For my project, I had heavy per stains and some water damage even after sanding. After MCL finished the floors they look brand new. They also had to add in additional hard woods to make my floors more matching and consistent. I was impressed with their ability to meet any challenge. Not only the repairs but also how to sand and poly my floors in rooms containing over 80% of built In furniture. They meticulously arranged my existing furniture accordingly to get the job done. They left the job site neat and organized every day. They were real problem solvers even helping me to remove some unwanted furniture. They went above and beyond the scope of work and really cared about me throughout the process. They listened to what I was trying to achieve with my home and were able to bring that to reality. I was lucky to find MCL floor. I feel they were more than contractors, they were skilled artisans that partnered with me to make my flooring dream come true. Now I can say I have a dream home that I am proud of showing off. I wan to thank MCL for the beautiful work they did. It took the house to a whole new new level with a “high end” look and feel just like what I see on T.V. I won’t hesitate to use them again for more sanding work when I am ready. I hope everyone will check with them first for their flooring needs, trust me you will be glad that you do!

Brenda was incredibly personable, accommodating, and professional. Her estimate was fair and comparable to others I had sought, but she (MCL) was available to do the job sooner. I liked that this was a multigenerational family business. They stuck to schedule as best as they could, despite bad weather, major holiday (Thanksgiving), and sadly, a loss in the family. I was moved by their commitment and literally cried when I saw the end result. My family’s house never looked so beautiful, and all from having the floors refinished! Numerous compliments by impressed visitors reaffirmed my making the right choice.

I have been avoiding writing this review for a long time because honestly every time I look at my hardwood floors I'm incredibly disappointed. As a single mom, I saved to purchase my first home alone and splurged to have the floors refinished. I worked with Brenda to get a quote and she had her team come out in late December of 2015. There were 3 weeks between the end of the job and my actually moving into the house, plenty of time for the floors to dry and minimize damage when I moved stuff in. Immediately I realized something was not right with the floors, the polyeurethane began flaking, and showed bubbling. I called Brenda who came back out to look at the floors, immediately she apologized and said maybe they used a "bad batch of poly." the floors looked terrible. She agreed to come back and have a team redo the floors. They came back, but round number two was actually worse than the first. my floors are in a terrible state of disrepair and have been since they first touched them. I had a contractor do a bathroom job for me last year and he told me it was clear that they had over sanded the floor (you can see the sanding was really heavy around the corners of the room and perhaps that is why the poly didn't adhere properly. In any case, I would 100% NOT hire this company based on my experience. I thought I did my due diligence by reading reviews on Angie's List but this time around that was not the case.

We are delighted with the results! Paul, manager, provided a very good estimate and made a good recommendation about the finish, two coats of oil-based polyurethane. My wife and I then chose a semi-gloss finish. Paul was available throughout the project. Gerard and his crew resolved all problems. They bleached the cat stains out and replaced some boards as needed. The foyer required some board replacements too. All rooms and areas now look great! Also, Gerard and crew thought that the molding which frames the fireplace area would look better if it matched the rest of the floor so they replaced it as a favor. Also, a month or so after the project was complete I noticed two small pieces of molding (about 3" each) that were not replaced. Paul and I did not even notice them when we did a final walk through. I only saw them when I dropped something near them. Anyway, Gerard and Craig came and took care of it. They even added a piece of molding to a landing that they thought would look nice. I needed a detail-oriented company to resolve some difficult challenges and that is what I found. There were different options to meet the challenges such as bleaching or replacement. These can be discussed when Paul estimates the project. Final note. This was a challenging project and it took 6 work days. I think it was worth it.

The job proceeded just as Brenda described. They were able to do the job and were pretty good about cleaning up afterwards and moving the furniture back to where it was in the beginning. The floors look great now and we are glad we got it done.

We could not be happier. Brenda went the extra mile, including having custom floor boards made to match our existing floors. The crew was professional, considerate, and completed the work just as promised. The results exceeded our expectations, and everyone who sees the floors is very impressed with the change --- they are beautiful. Already two visitors have asked for a reference to MCL and we are happy to spread the word.

Excellent. I could not have been more pleased. The quality of the work (especially the floorboards that were replaced) was superb. As a homeowner of 40 years, I would have to say this is about the best I have ever experienced with respect to quality, communications and price.

Fantastic! They responded to my request right away and Brenda came and looked at the job and gave me an estimate. The cost was.less.tham what it would.have been to re-carpet one room. They scheduled the job when I wanted it done, cleaned up after themselves, checked with me on stain color and made sure I was happy with it.

They were great! From their front desk to the workmen, they were pleasant and professional. They also installed custom-made hardwood shoe molding and thresholds. After they were finished, my house look like it had received brand new floors. I was glad that I got the work done.

It wasn't easy to pick a contractor to refinish my oak hardwood floor, there are plenty to choose from. However, MCL Flooring stuck out because of the positive reviews. I was apprehensive about my project and I emailed MCL Flooring at least five times with numerous questions. My questions were always responded to quickly without a ‘hard sale’ approach. Ms. Brenda put my mind at ease and I was quite impressed and hired MCL Flooring. I truly thought there was little professionalism left to be found, but MCL Flooring showed me there was. I was so impressed with MCL flooring, Jerauld and technicians, their level of professionalism, efficiency, diligence, and hardworking attitude was above reproach. The professionalism expended reflects well on this company. I want to let MCL Flooring know how pleased I am with the work done at my home. The refinish on my well-worn oak hardwood flooring from start to finish was outstanding. The result is impressive, more than I even imagined. I’m still smiling at the finished project, I am delighted. The job was so well done by wonderful people. Simply the best flooring contractor in Baltimore. MCL is a small family owned business that was very friendly and knowledgeable. The were a pleasure to deal with and I could not be happier with the results. Three days of work included a longer first day with two follow up days each day they left the job clean.

They sanded and refinished a two story, three bedroom home, minus the kitchen and bathrooms. The home was empty so no furniture needed to be moved, job took less than a week. The first floor is hardwood (oak) and the second floor is original 100 year old pine, they did a good job on both. They got under the radiators, replaced some floorboards, and plugged holes with scrap wood as needed. They sent someone beforehand to fill splintered areas with epoxy, which came out looking great. They even did some work on the banisters, fixing some newel posts which were chipped. Would definitely use them again.

The floors look great and the crew worked over the weekend to keep us on schedule.

Paul and his guys did a fantastic job! They were able to repair several bad DIY jobs and some pretty serious stains. Despite significant challenges with the weather, they were able to finish in a reasonable time and the floors look perfect.

We are very happy with the professional way the work was done and the final product. Our floor looks like new! The two gentlemen who did the work were very polite and prompt and caring about their work and we have only good things to say about them. They came on time exactly when they said they would. One thing I was happy to see is the way they mitigated the spreading of dust throughout the house by closing off the kitchen doors with plastic while they were sanding. My wife and I give this company a solid 'A' five-star rating and will use them again in the future.

This was a very professional company. Ms. Brenda came to my house a few weeks earlier to look at my floors. This I appreciated so that she could see the condition of my floors prior to the work and give me an idea of the type of work to expect from her company. I never had a problem reaching her for questions and I felt her genuine honesty. My floors were done in 2 days which was expected. I was extremely proud and pleased with the new look. The workers were on time getting to my home and very professional. It was important to them that I was pleased with their work. I would certainly refer this company to anyone whose hardwood floors need a face like mine.

We hired MCL to sand and refinish the hardwood floors in 4 bedrooms. We needed this work to be done on a short time scale before we moved in. Brenda got out to provide us with a quote very quickly. They had a space in their schedule and the quoted price was competitive so we decided to book. The work was scheduled for 3 days. The men were prompt each day and the finished floors were delivered on schedule. Overall we are pleased with the work. In our opinion a few corners could have been sanded a bit more thoroughly and the time alotted for applying finish seemed a bit short to us as they were still sanding on the last day.

Met with contractor today. Needed to pay additional fees which I did not have budgeted. Seems like a nice guy.

Brenda came out in January for an estimate after we contacted her on Angie's list. She was punctual, extremely professional, and obviously knowledgeable about hardwood flooring. We agreed to a price and set a date for the middle of March for the job to be completed. She estimated that it would take 2 days. At the appointed time in March, her team came to the house and promptly got to work stripping and sanding the floors. The next day I received a call saying that there were some boards that due to previous wear and moisture, it was impossible to sand out the stains that had seeped down into the wood. My options were to either ignore the staining and refinish the floors or elect to have the boards replaced and matched as closely as possible to the original boards, After a family discussion, we decided to replace the boards as we thought that the old boards would look bad against the rest of the floor. This decision cost us an extra day and the cost of replacing the hardwood boards. Two days later the job was complete and I must say that the floor looks fabulous. The replaced boards are a very close match (you would really have to know which boards were replaced to see the difference) and we are very pleased with the attention to detail to every square inch of floor. We are very happy with the results and feel that it was a very fair price for the work that was done.

The team was personable, thorough in their work, and maintained general cleanliness throughout the project. MCL is a small, family owned business in its third generation of service. They provide wonderful communications and follow up throughout the project, even providing follow up instructions for hardwood care. We will be using their services again and will recommend them to our neighbors and friends.
