MASONRY CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR

I had been through a number of masons/concrete people to get estimates and ideas. Due to the age of my home (~67 y.o.) and limitations that come with older homes (e.g. low basement windows, placement of downspouts, etc), I really didn't think there were too many options. I was facing the expense of repositioning the gutters and downspouts with french drains, bringing in another contractor to prop up the backdoor extension so concrete could be poured, etc. Bobby assessed the area, made some constructive comments, and left stating he would send me a sketch and an estimate. I didn't expect too much because I had been through this a number of times. But WOW - I received this fantastic sketch from him and was holding my breath to hear the estimate - but he was fairly priced too. On top of this, I also brought up "while you're here can you please fix this too"? He and his partner took care of all of those frustrating and aggravating annoyances; e.g. gates that stick, handles that won't work, and also put on a new side entrance to my garage - all understandably costing a little more but these were my choices. Now EVERYTHING looks beautiful, opens and closes easily - it's a total joy! Prior to meeting Bob, my mason experience had been abrupt and unimaginative, BUT THIS MAN HAS A VERY CREATIVE EYE. He has taken my bland backyard and brought it to life - it's a total pleasure and I can't wait for summer. On top of all this, he's very efficient, works hard and fast, and is pleasant and responsive. Also, he handled my downspout situation creatively and efficiently - ideas that no one else had ever dreamt. This man is a find - CALL HIM!
