+ -1 moreJust awful- actual cost was nearly 3 times their estimate. Sent truck to pick up items from house and then repacked on a different truck with 2 other orders. In the process, many things were scratched, dented or broken. Driver was a contractor not an employee, helpers were seasonal foreigners. One of the people on the delivery end went through our cabinets, found my purse and stole my cash and gift cards.

+ -1 moreIt was a nightmare. Update: I'm in the middle of their "claims" process. They lowballed their offer on their already lowball "insurance policy." They have expressed zero regret or apology. They will not refund the $40 extra that they charged to pack my plasma tv I a little bubble wrap- ineffective, because it broke. They "denied" my carpet cleaning claim because I didn't attach an estimate for cleaning- they didn't tell me to attach an estimate. Easily $10k in damage and loss- they offered me $240. These people are completely unethical and take no pride in their work.
Description of Work: BEWARE. This moving company gae us a big pitch about how careful their employees are, because they don't subcontract. I don't know if the thing about all the movers being employees is actually true, but the careful part is outrageously inaccurate. This is the worst moving company. They left dirt all over the old house. They misrepresented a discount rate. They used thuggish tactics, taking all of our furniture out to the street and then asking for more money. They acted like they were doing us a favor by doing "free" packing that we couldn't watch. The things were packed bulky and unsafely, and most of these items were either broken or lost. Our belongings had been seriously destroyed. The two things we asked them to be extra careful with have been totally destroyed. They destroyed our plasma tv, book shelf, antique kitchen table, mirrors and most of our furniture now has huge nicks and cracks. In addition, we have had a tv disappear. We have moved numerous times before and have never had so much damage done to our belongings. These people claimed to have such a great reputation but I saw no proof of it.
