Description of Work: Hired to paint exterior windows. Cost was higher than another high rated painter but Mr Miller evoked confidence so I hired him.

+ 0 moreVery pleased with his work. I called for an estimate, he came out to look at the job. Said he could do it,quoted me a price. Said he could start with 2 days. I came home from work that week, to find that he started on the project, he came back to following day to finish. I called him to tell him how pleased I was with the work. Paid him, he gave me a receipt, and we thanked each other.
Description of Work: Powerwashed wooded enclosure around porch (columns and rails) also stained the wood. Painted porch ceiling and sides of ceiling.

+ -1 moreAfter I called Ken and left a message, he had a friend of his respond to let me know Ken was on vacation and would contact me when he got back. The day he got back, he called and then came out to give me an estimate. I was very impressed with the follow up. When I told I was interested in having him do the work, he said it would be a couple of weeks until he could get to me and would call. He did just that and came out the next day. It was a very small job, so it's hard to say as far as quality, however Ken did a nice job, helped me move the porch furniture and cleaned up after himself. He was a very nice man and overall good experience.
Description of Work: Ken scraped and painted our wrought iron railing and after having storm doors installed, the woodwork and door frame needed touching up.

Description of Work: No work performed. Throughout the course of the estimate he complained about various aspects of the job. He gave a verbal estimate, and when I requested it in writing, he said he doesn't believe in written estimates. His quote was exactly twice the price of the contractor who I ended up hiring to paint the house. I suspect that he had no desire to actually give a competitive bid, so he gave a ridiculous estimate.

+ -1 moreKen is a friendly guy who works mostly without helpers and goes beyond the basic job. The basement windows needed extra work to remove and paint the frame behind. He also did the front door at no extra charge.
Description of Work: Contractor scraped and painted six windows (two upper and four lower) plus window trim, including related putty replacement on front of house. The lowest two were basement windows. The job also included painting lower part of house and replacing part of the facial board and painting same plus painting metal railings and painting front door.
