We used this company for the first time as part of a promotion sponsored by Angie's List. Based on the quality of their work we would use them again and would consider them for work other than gutter cleaning. They called before coming, were prompt, quick and did a very nice job. The men that came were pleasant, and they cleaned up after their work.

Mike was a pleasure to deal with, I got a great roof at a fair price. They came quickly and cleaned up well afterwards.

We used the Big Deal for gutter cleaning through Angie's List. They were friendly and responsive although I had to call a couple of times because the first time they didn't show up when they said they would. It was okay since I didn't have to be at home to let them in, but just something to note. I was happy with the work done, but was not happy that they called and said we needed a new roof. It just came across as suspicious since we just bought our home less than a year ago and the inspector said we would be fine with annual maintenance. Our roof is not perfect, but it's not leaking and we have no problems with it. I realize this is probably a matter of opinion so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Just thought I should report what happened. **Update: For the record, we were never sent photos of the roof even though they said they would send them. We bought our house less than a year ago and had the inspector and 3 roofing companies look at the roof. No one said it needed to be replaced. It's possible this past winter did a number on it, but we just had it repaired by another roofer who said that it was fine after replacing some slate tiles. In our neighborhood, that's generally how people take care of the old slate roofs. Like I said, I want to give the benefit of the doubt, but these are the facts. Thought I should report them.

My complaint with this company is 1) They cancelled my scheduled appointment for power washing twice 2)Their advertising description is deceptive and misleading. Beware! They advertise $198 for a "3000 sq ft home plus 18 cents over 3000 sq ft", but when they get to your home, the square feet is the actual power washed surface of the exterior- not the sq footage of your home as 99.9% of the people would think of it. They did not give me an estimate of the incremental price above the $198 Big Deal Price until I received the invoice after the job was done. 3) I would not consider the owner of the company to be Angie's List customer service quality, since when I complained about the two missed appointments, he surly said "go ahead and call Angie's List if you want a refund" as if he really didn't care about getting things right for the customers. The first missed appt. was due to spending too much time on a house with mold. The second missed appt. was due to a broken down truck. I should have called Angie's List to get the refund when they missed two appointments.

The crew arrived after the scheduled time. They had no excuse except that they were over booked. I advised they could have called to give an estimated time of arrival. The owner told me my presence wasn't necessary. They were to only power wash a portion of my home, so I needed to be there to let them know which section, since they were to power wash only 3000 sq. feet. I told the crew manager I would file a negative report since they arrived after our scheduled appointment. The crew didn't give any notice and just let without informing me. They never completed the work. I sent a letter April 11, 2011 requesting the to contact Angie's List to refund, but I have never heard back

Very well. The brick on my home was 85% covered with the remains of ivy that had been stripped from my house last spring. Their pressure washing was very thorough and completely cleared the brick of the ivy remains.

It took them over two weeks to respond to my e-mail. I scheduled something and they never showed up. They provided very poor service.

Gutter cleaning well done, both properties. Very very slow in responding. Probably due to $99 coupon offer at the time. No communication at all despite numerous attempts, then just showed up at property. No problem. Again prob due to large coupon volume. Rep pressed hard for immediate roof replacement, called on cell from the site. (both roofs will need replacing, but no leaks or imminent need.) Wanted to do right away with 'shingle left over from another job'. Asked for estimates. Again pressed for immediate replacement, 'offer at this price will not be available when this shingle is gone.' Declined, required written estimates. Told they would be sent promptly, but never received for either property. Would use again for gutters. Probably not for roofing.

Overall, very pleased with service. Owner actually took a look at the minor repair that was needed before the gutters were cleaned and assured me that the Angie's List Deal I purchased would cover the cleaning as well as the repair. Owner also reattached a shutter that had fallen off of the second level of the house and did so at a very reasonable rate. Excellent customer service. Would definitely use them again for gutter cleaning, or any other service they provide.

We purchased an Angie's List coupon for gutter cleaning from this company. I am told that service was a bit slower than usual because of the volume of sales, but the work has now been completed. The company offered us a future free cleaning, and we will be having them come again in the fall.

Scheduling was easy, and they showed up promptly. It was a very thorough job and pleasant crew!

Kelbie did a good job. There have been no leaks and they have responsive when items have come up. They did forget to put in a vent but they came back the following week to fix that. There were a few times they said they were going to come and they did not show up on time but otherwise I'm happy with the job. The shingles look great and they were able to get downspouts to match my exterior paint color. I noticed a big drop in our utility bills over the winter due to the new insulation.

Very reasonably priced. He did an excellent job. He is a flat roof specialist. He gave me a suggestion on how to extend the life of my roof.

I initially had my gutters cleaned and was informed that my roof had missing shingles and was in need of some repairs. I contacted the number on the business card left on my front door and the owner Mike Kelbie answered my call. He was able to provide me with details of what my roof needed and provided pictures of the damage he was referring to. Upon receiving pictures of my roof and seeing that i was getting water leaks in my house after the recent rain showers, i decided to get the job done. He was very accommodating to my schedule. The crew arrived at my house on time. They were were very polite and professional. they explained what they were going to do. I had them look at the leaks inside my house and they confirmed that the leaks were coming from places where i was missing shingles. They left my home as they found it. They picked up after themselves and did a very nice clean job. I will be using this company again.

We contacted Kelbie for an estimate for a flat roofing replacement. They quoted us a price that seemed high but said if we acted in the next three days they'd knock off 30%. Then, without us asking, they said we also needed some sealing work to an outer wall that would run several thousand dollars. Although they responded to our inquiry promptly and provided an estimate (with photos) we felt it was a hard sell. We wanted time to consider a few estimates and to investigate whether we truly needed work apart from the roof, not the pressure to act immediately upon an estimate.

Overall, quite well. However, a call notifying us that the team was on its way with an ETA would have been helpful. A written report of the roof inspection would have been appropriate as I was not at home when the work was done. I am writing this report barely 24 hours after the visit and one may yet be forthcoming.

I think they did fine. It took them a little while to get back to me. It was pretty easy to reach him. I haven't had any leaks since then but I don't know much about roofs and their quality. I think the price was a little high and could have been a little less.

Smooth, as promised. Went perfect.

This is the second time we have used Kelbie Roofing - last winter we had our skylight replaced and were very happy with the price, quality of work and service. We recommended Kelbie to my father-in-law who needed a lot of work done after the blizzard. He was also very pleased with the timeliness and cost of the work done. We were just as happy with Kelbie the second time around, and would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Everything went as Mike Kelbie explained and promised, no surprises. When the crew finished the job, I did not like how the back yard was cleaned up, he send someone to correct the situation the second day. Couple months later in January, the tenant who lived in the house complained about front porch gutter overflow whenever rains causing icy condition on the front porch steps right under it. I called Mike Kelbie once; his crew went over right away. They addressed my tenant's concern, and re-adjust the gutter and downspout at front. The whole process was handled very professional. My tenant was very impressed and satisfied with the result. I was very happy too with the fact of only one phone call did all the work. Since then, I have purchased many more rental properties, and Kelbie did all the roof work on them. I did shop around at the beginning; however, Kelbie's price always come back either very similar to other middle-price ranged roofers out there. Because I already had a positive experience with Kelbie before, I felt do need to try out another roofer. Their service has been consistent, and if I do have any problems, all I had to do is call. They always come back honor their warranty.

Once, I called for an estimate , Mike came out the next day , and I agreed on the price , they were there the following day to do the job I am a landlord, I own 4 properties. In the last 3years Mike has installed roofs on all my properties. I am totally satisfied with the service. He was prompt ,courteous & gets the work done in a timely manner (Next Day). I never had to call him back for the same problem. I also referred Mike to 2 other people, they were also satisfied with his work.

There were a couple instances that we had to reschedule parts of the job, but these were few and far between. For a large part of the job his team was comfortable working on the roof by accessing it from the street 4 stories below. They were always very kind, courteous, and appreciative that I picked them for the job. Coming from the midwest, I expect that at home but rarely find it on the east coast.

I called Kelbie Roofing after they were recommended by a neighbor. Mike Kelbie gave me a call back and we meet for an estimate. He asked if I wanted to go up on the roof so he could explain where the problem areas were and suggest a remedy to our leaky roof situation. I found Mike to be knowledgeable, friendly and professional. His estimate was detailed and his price very competitive. I told him that my wife and I had to get a few more quotes and would be in touch with him. After getting two more quotes (one priced higher than Kelbie and one priced lower) we decided that we felt most comfortable with Kelbie doing the work. Our roof was finished by the end of the next day and Mike kept his promise to do a thorough and clean job. He took photos of the roof to show us and wanted to make sure that we were satisfied. We will surely recommend Kelbie to our friends and neighbors. A note about the bad reviews for Kelbie on this site: Before hiring Kelbie to do our roof, I double checked his standing with the Better Business Bureau and confronted Mike about the couple of very negative reviews he received on this site. He gladly explained those situations to me. From my experience with him; he is a man of his word and he is very good at what he does. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

I called Kelbie Roofing in the middle of a rainstorm when I found a leak in the my kids' bedroom - after leaving a message on the answering service, Mike called me himself, ten minutes later, at 8pm on a Friday. He showed up the next day, did a quick patch, gave an estimate, and a day later, his team was on my roof. They were polite, communicative, efficient, and stayed late to get the work done before another rainstorm came through - and after the next two storms, Mike again called to check in and make sure that the roof was fine. The really nice thing was that the Kelbie team took me on the roof and explained everything that was wrong - they showed me how a roof leaks, where it comes from, how the new roof would address the problems, and so forth. I know more about a flat roof than I ever thought I could. I never thought of a roof as being beautiful but I was stunned when I went up there after the work was done. He also wrote a nice, long guarantee on the work. I've worked with a lot of different contractors in the course of owning my home and of them all, Kelbie Roofing was the most responsive, communicative, and trustworthy. I wish I knew about them sooner! I see from the website that they also do interior work now and I guarantee I will be calling them the next time I have a large project inside the house. Highest possible recommendation for this company. Oh, almost forgot - they cleaned really well, too. Swept the walks and cleaned the yard when they were done - no debris at all anywhere. You'd never have known that someone had done a huge piece of messy work.
