Well. The project was delayed because Angie's List had their money tied up in one of the promotions, but the work done was quality work and the crew was considerate and cleaned up well.

Contacted Mr. Kelbie Dec 14 who contacted me two days later to schedule someone to provide an estimate. Considering the holiday schedule, I was pleased that Mr. Rey Morataya arrived Fri, Dec 30, 2011 to make an accessment around 10:30 am. He explained to me what was needed to repair a section of the roof which was previously damaged by a tree limb as well as recommended other items that needed to be done. Having agreed to the work and cost, he and two of his co-workers began working. The job was completed around 2:45 pm.

I had my house, deck and roof power washed and roof work done. The work crew was not informed of the start date but when I called they came the next day. The painter was polite, punctual and did an excellent job. Over all the work was excellent but communications were lacking.

I purchased this work as part of a Big Deal. I was pleased with the work except for the fact that they installed the covers on all gutters - exceeding the prepaid agreement - without getting prior authorization. This required that I pay an additional fee. I was not pleased with this. They did perform some gutter repair that I needed, didn't ask for, at no charge.

Nuke Kelbie, was on time and friendly. After a hour on my roof and my neighbor had also bought the package. He report that there was wear and proceeded to give estimates for re-roof or replacement. When pressed for photo's, he e-mailed one photo questionable as to who and what it was. No response other than frequent e-mails wanting the contract for the work.

Mr. Kelbie and his team were very professional and prompt. He provided me and my neighbor with an estimate of the work. He and his team came by when they said they would. I appreciated how Mr. Kelbie laid out the options of what we could do and thinking through what would be best for me. I have since called on Mr. Kelbie to do other small jobs at my house and have continued to be very happy with his work.

He was very responsive, and got a team out to our house quickly. We have used his company several times, and will continue to do so in the future.

I purchased an Angie's Big deal for $199 for deck cleaning. It took a while to schedule but I expected that. The day before the scheduled cleaning was raining and so I called to confirm. I never got a response but they did show up the next day - late. When they were finished I was informed that though the actual square footage of the deck was less than that included in the offer, adding all the railings meant that I was over and owned another $200. I paid (I probably shouldn't have) and was told that I would get a call to schedule the sealing some time the following week. About a week later I came home to find a card on my door saying that the deck was wet. I had a message from that morning (after I had left) saying they were coming that day. Of course, I had moved nothing off the deck because I wasn't expecting them. When I looked out the sliding door I saw that they had pushed all of the furniture up against the house in front of the door. The next morning when I tried to go out I discovered they had pushed the table so close that it stopped the outer door from sliding open more than about a foot. Finally by changing into light weight clothes and holding my breadth I was able to wiggle my way out to move the furniture. The work was fine but I view this as a bait and switch deal with no concern that I would ever use them again.

The job was a little pricey but the work was done well and cleanup was thorough. The crew were punctual and efficient. Jim McGavin was the foreman on this project and I just fell in love with this kind and gentle man. I will definitely use them again for future spring projects.

Had Kelbie look at roof of a DC rowhouse approx 100 years old. Two leaks were coming inside two rooms in house. Mr. Kelbie came out took pictures of our roof, showed holes and other damaged. Gave us a price for a re-roof and a new roof. We opted for a total roof replacement. Initially we had one quote but once all layers were removed, there was wood damage that had to be corrected.Hence, it added to our total bill. Once work was started, a crew of about 4-5 guys arrived.They started early and worked full days. They were very polite . The roofing took about 4 days. Crew had to return to place a new skylight in the house and to do drywall work from the leaks. Mr. Kelbie threw in a complimentary trim clean up. Since the average joe isn't going to get on the roof, it is quite savvy to have someone send you pictures of the progress of the job. Mr. Kelbie also responds promptly via emails.

After purchasing my deal and not hearing anything from the company, I called to set up an appointment to have my home power washed. The original contact was not available. So, I left a message with my contact information. After approximately a week, I received an email (a "one liner") with available dates for the service and chose November 2nd as the date of service. November 2nd came and went, and the service was not performed as requested. I sent an email the following Monday, November 7th, asking when the service would be performed. A couple of hours after I sent the email, my mother (who lives with me) called from the home and said that Kelbie was present and wanted to perform the work and wanted to know if it was ok to have them work on the house. No one from Kelbie called or emailed to say that the work would be performed that day, but instead just showed up. After the work was complete, my home looked worse than it did before the washing - grant it, my home is older with aluminum siding. A couple of days after the service, I received another "one liner" email asking if I would like Kelbie to "fix" my siding. After the missed appointment and lack of communication, I wouldn't ask them to touch another thing on my house. I was not impressed at all with their customer service or professionalism. I do not recommend them.

When I called to make my appointment, the owner offered me a free roof inspection. I was delighted to take advantage of this. When they came out to do the windows, they had not heard anything about the free roof inspection. I called the office to have them notify the workers at my house about this free inspection. They finished the work and I paid extra for the windows that were on the second floor. I asked if they inspected the roof, and he told me it needs general maintenance. I don’t think he did the inspection because my daughter was in the garage and did not hear anyone up there. I paid for the big deal, and the owner offered me this special deal and went above and beyond, but I didn't get it. Aside from this, I think they did a nice job caulking the windows.

I discovered a slow drip over a doorway during a heavy rain from hurricane Lee. This was the last night for the Big Deal for a roof inspection. Must have been Karma. I called Kelbie Home Improvement. Mike came, inspected the roof and caulked some areas and cleaned the gutters. He offered a bundled deal that sounded very good. I vetted the offer with friends and decided to take it. Mike also has a relationship with a finance company that will provide 12 month zero interest loans. - The first work crew arrived and finished the roof in one day when I was at work. The gutters installation was started but was delayed due to rain. They finished the job on a Saturday. The power washers came during the rain and completed that task in 45 minutes to an hour. - I was pleased with all the crews and their work.

Mike Kelbie came out and did everything on the list that was covered by the special offer. He also took down our old TV antannae and repaired three missing shingles. He did not charge us anything extra for the additional services. His email messages may seem kinda strange. He showed me that he has a voice activated system that allows him to respond to emails while out on the road! This is why there is no punctuation on the emails. He noticed several things on our roof that needed additional repairs and also made suggestions about making our home more energy efficient. He was very knowledgable. He made us a reasonable offer to come back and fix some things. We told him that we would get back to him when we were ready. He did a great job and we will be calling him when we are ready to proceed with the suggestions that he made. Yes, I would recommend this company and we got a great deal! Well worth the money!

Kelbie did an excellent job with all of the services we asked them to do. We did have to ask them to return after the work was completed to re-do the painting around the new rubber roof they installed which they did to our satisfaction. I will hire them again for our future needs.

Initially, Mr. Kelbie was a bit overwhelmed from the huge response from Angie's List customers who responded to the big deal and we did not think he would be able to fit me in his schedule on my timeframe. However, after further discussion, we worked something out and the job was scheduled at an amenable time for both of us. Mr. Kelbie and his assistant did a great job pressure washing the siding on the front, side and back of my end unit townhome. I am very pleased with the final outcome and the outstanding value for this big deal. I would use the company again and would highly recommend. However, the reason I am rating the company a "B" instead of an "A" is because of the recommendation provided for additional work. Mr. Kelbie tried to assist me by recommending a small subcontractor to do masonry and other work on my porch. This did not work out as well. I paid $800 for a job that turned out to be very unprofessional and the paint job is the worst I have seen. Additionally, the subcontractor recommended a plumber that could not complete a minor plumbing job and for me, that was another $100 "down the drain." The morale of the story is YES, use Mr. Kelbie's services but NO do not use any recommended subcontractors.

They could not compute and there was not communication between telephone and email personnel. They could not find my place.

Very well; they showed up on time, & finished quickly, & cleaned up well.

We interacted through email with no problems and work was performed great ! No complaints !

They did a great job getting all of the ivy markings off. They were very punctual and actually came a day early than they thought they could.

Ray came when he stated he would. He brought a crew with him to help. He measured my deck to give an estimate of overall work and allowed me to do only the top deck and not the stairs. He did even more work (to the rails) than I paid for!

Ray, was very professional, he took the time to answer all my questions. I was very happy with the service, and plan to use them for some roof repairs in the near future.

They gave good recommendations. It went very well overall. They were pleasant, clear about what they can do and were experts at it.
