Mr. Kelbie and his crew arrived on time, performed a roof inspection and identified a few minor problems: chimney needed pointing up, the gutter across the back of the house needed more hangars than were installed when the gutters were replaced, some moss growing on a portion of the roof that gets little sunlight, and the gutter opening to the downspout was done incorrectly which was allowing water to flow behind the gutter. In the last case, the crew leader went to Home Depot to purchase the product needed to correct the water flow and performed the repair at no additional charge. This company was very easy to work with, straightforward, and did not try to sell us services we didn't need. I would work with them again.

I had diffiulty in getting them to come to my home at a time when someone would be home. We finally got something scheduled but it took a month.They sent photos of my roof's condition, which were very helpful. they said they would send me an estimate to replace the roof and I never heard from them again. No further contact. I then had my roof replaced by The Home Depot.

Overall the experience was pleasant and I would use them again. The team of workers arrived on time and ready to work, they didn't need much direction or assistance. Once they were on the roof and had taken pictures I received a call from the manager and he explained what was going on, provided suggestions for additional work that would need to be completed and they work that they would be doing under the deal. The work was completed within 2 hours, the team had at least 4 workers and they were pleasant and engaged when we needed to converse. I plan to use them again if I need any additional work done on my roof.

The crew arrived on time, did a very professional job and the roof looked like new. The north facing part of the roof was particularly discolored and the treatment did an excellent job of removing the stains. I have used Kelbie several times now, and have always been quite pleased with their service!

The crew arrived on time and did an outstanding job pressure washing the deck. The deck had not been cleaned in several years so it was quite discolored. They did a very thorough job and the deck looked like new when they finished.

Overall, our experience with Kelbie was really positive. Despite being busy with repairs after hurricane Sandy, Mike was able to get his team to our house pretty quickly to install our new architectural shingles. In working with us, Mike was able to give us a heads up early on that our job would likely have an additional cost of laying plywood on our roof before they could lay the shingles. We appreciated having this info as we were also in the process of organizing additional home improvement projects with other contractors. When during the job it became apparent that some of the wood that our gutters were connected to was rotten, Mike sent me an email with our options for moving forward and the project moved forward without any delay. One glitch in the project was that the Kelbie's shingle supplier provided them with the wrong shingles for our house. Unfortunately, we only noticed this at the end of the frist day - after nearly half of the rood was done. After informing Mike of the error, he quickly went about correcting it, with no prodding from us, and had his team back at work the next day correcting the error and laying the right shingles at no cost to us. All in all, our new roof was done well and at a reasonable price. I'd recommend Kelbie to anyone that needed work done on their roof.

This job was originally scheduled to take place in May, but because of weather and perhaps other scheduling issues, it did not take place until July. The quality of the work and my interactions with the staff were pleasant. My reason for a lower score is because the company did not take the initiative to communicate with me about the push-back in schedule. The company did an excellent job calling me back when I contacted them with questions, but when my job got pushed back that long, it left me feeling very anxious since they were holding my deposit. In the end it all went well, but they could have spared me much anxiety by taking the initiative to communicate with me frequently regarding the schedule.

They came in and did good work. They did what they said they would.

Overall I am very please with Mr. Kelbie and his team of roofers. His team not only performed the duties stated in their coupon, they even came back out to my home and did additional work free of charge. In these tough econmic times its great to hire a contractor willing to go the extra mile to satisfy their customer. Mr. Kelbie is very professional and runs and top notch business. Whenever I need any questions answered he immediately got back to me within the hour. I will definitely be reaching out to Kelbie Home Improvement for any additional work I need done to my home in the future.

During the estimate, Mike Kelbie was thorough and made good recommendations. When the job started, the crew arrived early and worked late. The bad/old soffits were removed, and heavy rain was forecasted for the weekend. I was worried about water getting in, so Kelbie had his guys come back on Saturday morning to put in the new soffits. They went above and beyond, and I'm happy with the quality of the roofing, gutters, and woodwork done. I'd consider Kelbie for future work on my home. I think the company has a lot of jobs lined up. Mike is responsive via email, but I was the one who kept initiating contact after the contract was signed. It took a while to get the job started and for things to be completely finished (skylights were special order, Hurricane Sandy, etc.), but the bottom line is I'm happy with the quality of the work.

I purchased the winter caulking and roof maintence. It took forever to schedule the appointment. I called multiple times and left my information with multiple people. I finally got an appointment and they came out. It took them about 20 mins. They said nothing about the status of my roof or that anything looked off. A month or so later, I recieved an email from the owner Mike Kelbie, asking if i was interested in a new roof because he said while his people were up there they noticed I could use a new roof. I'm calling this company out on this right now. We just purchased this home in July. We did a home inspection, including an inspection of the roof. We had photos that there were some nails sticking up, some shingles that needed replacing etc. NOTHING TO INDICATE WE NEEDED A NEW ROOF AT ALL. Looking through the other reviews, it seems as other people had this proposition by this company as well. I would not recommend this company.

I received a check from my insurance adjuster to pay for the damage minus deductible. I then shopped around until met Mr. Kelbie. His no nonsense right to the point approach sold me. He gave me the dates and was right on time. His crew was fantastic. The cleanup was great. He matched up the shingles perfectly. Mr. Kelbies price was less than my insurance check. Also, I might add the price was less than the other estimates.

Mr. K never sent the estimate I requested, despite many emails and phone calls from me. I was frustrated and disappointed and do not wish to work with him again.

When I initially called to set up my appointment they had an answering service. It took several days for the owner to call me to set up the appointment. The appointment was set up weeks in advance. The day before they were to do the work I called to verify they were coming. They had no record of my initial appointment. The appointment was re-scheduled. I was told the workers would show up at 9 am. At 9:30 am I called them and the owner told me he would call the workers. He called back in within the hour and told me he couldn't get in touch with his worker. Later that day he called to say that his worker needed to take his wife to the airport and that this had not happened before and he would fire the worker. Approximately four hours after the work was to be done the workers showed up to do the work. They inspected the roof, did the sealing work, and then proceeded to show me a board which was raised. He told me it would cost $450.00 to hammer the board down. They were unreliable, late, and ultra-expensive. I would never use them again.

Overall, at the very beginning when I first contacted Mike Kelbie back in 2010, he was one of several roofers I called. After speaking with Mike and checking online for reviews, Mike offered a variety of possibilities that he could do with my roof (Which basically was in very bad shape after the storm) while accommodating my budget. I had prices that were lower than Mike's but I felt like I was getting a reliable person and company to help me through my difficult situation and that I would be better in the long run with the quality of work and overall roof I would receive. After the roof was installed, and after personally inspecting it against my neighbor's roofs, I could see the quality of work that went into my roof vs. my neighbors roofs. My roof still looked great compared to the other roofs and just to be safe, since my roof was under warranty, Mike said that, as part of my warranty, he is going to send his crew back to run some sealant over some areas now as opposed to waiting a couple more years to do the same thing. One thing with getting a new roof, if you can climb up on the roof, you should do it because then and only then will you really understand how the roof is constructed and you can experience first hand the quality of the roofer's work.

THE COMPANY SAID THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE ROOF.....BUT THERE WERE PROBLEMS..BIG ONES...THEY SHOULD HAVE LET US KNOW..BAD SERVICE????

They confused the appointment date but once they arrived they did a good job

They were punctual and quick. A little too quick in my opinion. They walked the roof and tapped in loose nails. They also appeared to calk in some places. I never recieved an estimate as promised to replace my roof. Overall I feel that I overpaid just to have folks walk on my roof and hammer. Not what I was expecting.

Some missed calls and misunderstanding as to expectations. Owner made some restitution. Do get detailed contract up front. Do talk directly to owner, not to his crew who were not completely fluent in English. After having the crew come back to attempt to fix the soffitt, we attempted to question them because rather than replacing a piece of wood, they appeared to be painting over the cpiece again. We contacted Mr. Kelbie about a total replacement of that wood, which we had requested. We were told he would not be able to fix it and reimbursed us for some of the price.

They were no-shows for the original scheduled appointment, but quickly rescheduled. Work was completed satisfactorily.

I called and emailed Mr. Kelbie. He honored my coupon even though it expired. He does send emails with typos and things that are not clear. He brought crew of four and did the inspection in less than a half hour. He did not tell me the results orally or immedicately but did by the end of the day. He has made a bid on a full roof replacement using extremely high quality materials. Although I have heard from another source his advice is valid, I may not need such an extensive job done and am still trying to decide what to do.

I was very pleased with the quality. However, I expected that the gutters would also be cleaned.
