Michael was very professional from the moment he met me to do the estimate. I was impressed that he was using technology from a Smartphone that enabled him to determine the exact dimensions of my roof from a satellite. He walked around my house with me inside and out to fully understand the scope of my issues. He was on time the day we scheduled he start the work. He explained to me that steps that were to be accomplished and introduced me to his site manager and the project lead. As we came to decision points, he asked me how his team proceed. Because my project required additional boards, he went to get the needed supplies. I was impressed that his team worked just as hard in his absense as when he was on the job site. Each time I questioned that things were going according to my expectations, I was shown and reassured that everything was accomplished as expected. Michael was honest and fair in his pricing. He took pity on me and gave me a nice discount on some of the materials he used on my project. I was very happy with the final product. I definitely would hire Michael Kelbie and his team for future work.

I had some trouble initially getting an e-mail response that was intelligable. Eventually however I was able to communicate well enough to make the appointment and the work done was very satisfactory

Mr. Kelbie was thorough and professional througout from estimate to completion. He communicated the details of the job step by step especially concerning schedule impacts from delays due weather. When weather prevented the start of the job on the original date he had his crew there ready to go the next day even though it was a weekend. He also made up a material shortage at no additional cost to me and fully honored the contract price. In my job I evaluate cost, schedule and performance for major companies and have no hesitation in stating that Kelbie excelled in all 3 metrics. My property was left as clean as when they started. Additionally it must be said that Kelbie provided us with a beautiful roof thus contributing to the value and curb appeal of our home. Kelbie deserves to be commended for a job well done and has my complete recommendation.

I booked Kelbie Roofing yesterday to repair shingles blown off in recent wind storm, and this morning I'm listening to hammers at work on my roof. I couldn't have had a better experience and will use Kelbie to replace my roof when needed. Great work!

Mike Kelbie, the owner, set up an appointment with me two days after I contacted him. He gave me an estimate right away. The estimate was concise and clear. There was no rush on my part, so I let him pick the time to complete the project. He called me the day before his crew was going to complete the work. They showed up in the morning. They removed the old roof and installed the new in about half a day. They did the work meticulously and cleaned up after. My garage looks great and does not leak any more.

Mike Kelbie was very wuick to respond to initial inquiry. I alloted for 4- 6 weeks to get the work done, It took several phone calls to finally complete (about 8 weeks total). The drywall work was fantastic. The skylight replancement went well. Was not aware that it would not align up exactly with the old hole.

I never received a written copy of the inspection report/results but was provided the information by telephone. I would have rather had the written report to determine what work needed to be done. In reality, I already knew that I needed a new roof and was hoping that I could delay it a little longer. If you "know" you need a new roof, I recommend you skip this part and just schedule the work after getting several estimates.

I started to get a little worried when it took a long time to start the work. Mike explained that volume produced by the Angie's List coupon had created a backlog. I paid for the roof in August 2012 and work actually began on 23 Dec 2012. Despite the wind blowing at approximately 50 MPH, the roof was nearly completed in one day. If you decide to use this service be sure to understand when work will commence and be prepared to be patient. It is worth the wait.

They did a good. They were professional, punctual, and thorough. I wouldn't use them again due to the price is higher than others I did find after I purchase this Big Deal.

Overall, I really enjoyed working with this company. I've had Kelbie Home Improvement put 2 roofs on my 2 flat roof properties in Baltimore City. I was extremely pleased with the work. They finished the day after he gave me the estimate which was even a Saturday. This was about a year ago and have not had any leaks or issues yet. Mike Kelbie is extremely flexible and will meet up with you after business hours to sign paperwork, etc. The second job was just a few weeks ago and once again they were prompt--they completed it sooner than expected which was still only about a 3-4 day wait. Once again, they did an excellent job. Once both jobs were complete Mike Kelbie sent out photos of the completed work. I highly recommend this company to do your roof work.

I would use them again. The only drawback was the scheduling conflict. They were also really good because while they are up on the roof, they took pictures on my roof, so I would know of any potential issues that I had. They took pictures after the cleaning, so that was awesome. Their pricing is excellent.

I purchased the $199 winter maintenance package for my single family home from Kelbie Home Improvement Inc. Mr. Kelbie and his team showed up promptly on the day of our appointment and needed to wait about an hour for the temperature to rise enough for the crew to climb on my roof. Mr. Kelbie informed me that my roof was "not walkable" due to the pitch angle and that the maintenance would cost another $195. I paid the extra charge and Mr. Kelbie then left his roofing crew behind while he went to check on another job. I also left about that time for a short meeting a few blocks away. When I returned about 30 minutes later, I was surprised to see no sign of the crew. Upon closer inspection, I discovered a number of the promised maintenance actions had not been fully performed and I immediately reported these problems by phone to Mr. Kelbie. Although I was not satisfied with the roofing team's work on that first morning, I decided to rate Kelbie Home Improvement as an "A" because Mr. Kelbie showed a professional commitment to get it right by sending his team back to my house two more times at no cost to make sure all the work was done properly and to my full satisfaction. As such, I feel I can recommend this company to others. If possible, I also recommend the homeowner be present to observe the roofing crew's work in order to minimize the need for return visits.

Our neighbor had a house fire and in responding to the call the fire department broke through our skylight (adjacent to our neighbors). They covered it with plastic, but this was the week of 20 degree weather with snow in the forecast. I called about a half dozen companies that said they wouldn't be able to come take a look at the problem for days and most likely it would take weeks to order the replacement glass. Called Kelbie, spoke with owner and he said he could send someone out same day. Ray arrived a few hours later, looked at the problem and said he had seen the same size skylight in the area and if they still had the part could replace it that day. He sealed the plastic over the skylight opening so that the wind wasn't coming in. He also noted some cracks in the roofing and saw he would cover those when he came back. I called around 5pm when I hadn't heard back, and he said he could get the part the next day and would come back to the house at 1pm. It snowed an inch overnight and the sealed plastic kept our the cold and snow. Ray came back the next day and was able to replace the skylight and address the roofing cracks within a few hours. Kelbie really helped us in a pinch and were very easy to deal with and responsive during this stressful experience. Would definitely use them again.

I ordered a deal from Angie's list to get my gutters cleaned. I then emailed the company as indicated on the deal information. I never heard back from the company. Then one day the company showed up to do work. I did not schedule this nor was I given notice. The workers did not communicate with me, and I still do not know how the cleaning went as I cannot reach the gutters. I did find nails and other work items around my house after the service. I was not even informed when the service was over. The workers just left.

As soon as they arrived at home worker advised the cost would be more than Angie's List coupon. Felt like a bate and switch. Job was fair. Paid less in the past to other companies with better results

I was very pleased with the job the men did when they arrived. They announced they were here and finished the work quickly and to my satisfaction.

The quality of the roof appears to be excellent, (Architectural grade shingles) and the workmanship appears competent. The price we got beat 2 other estimates and included a gutter replacement and power-wash of the house. We had about 10 missed "start" dates for the job (approximately 2 month delay) which was ok in our case because there was no crisis on our roof but I did start getting anxious that we had an unreliable contrator. There was an extra few thousand dollar charge because some wood planks needed replacement under the gutters - this was a suprise I do not blame Kelbie for but the price was steep and way outside our budget - so that hurt alot. They left our finished (storage area) attic a mess with materials that fell through durring the job. We have 3 or 4 window screens that were damaged by ladders - which I asked them to fix, no reply. They threw in a house power-wash which left our windows a mess.

They checked the roof, took some pictures, suggested some places to do some flashing and replacement, and cleaned the gutters. They did a fine job.

Well enough, no clean up was performed though.

I was in the process of getting a new house that needed a few things done to it. Among those things was a new roof. So I looked on Angie's list and found a coupon for Kelbie Home improvements. So I called them on 3/22/12 and told them where I was getting the new house at and what i wanted done. I just wanted to see if they would travel this far to do the job. I was told that the distance wasn't a problem and they would do the work for me as soon as I got the renovation loan. I was sent an e-mail proposal on 3/26/12. That showed how much it was going to be and that they wanted the job. We'll as renovation loans go now a days, it took a long time for the bank to get all their paperwork together. Every 2-3 weeks either Kelbie would call me or I would call them and let them know where we were with the renovation loan process. The whole time they were still interested in doing my roof for me. Then came time when we finally got to the part where the bank had to send out their renovation paperwork to Kelbie so they could be proven as a business that would do the job. This was 5/4/12. 2 weeks before i closed on my new house. Kelbie calls me on the phone and tells me that it's not worth their time and effort to fill out all the renovation papers to do my job and they are not doing it anymore. The whole time they knew it was a renovation loan, they knew how far away my new house was, and they knew what type of work i wanted done. Nothing changed. Yet they all of a sudden didn't want to do this job. This left me 2 weeks(which ended up being 4 weeks) to find another roofer, get them approved through the bank, and have them fill out all this paperwork. They screwed me over so bad it wasn't funny. The only funny thing was the fact that the new roofers were $1500 cheaper for the same type of job. So on that note Thank you for saving me money.
