Has your roof started to leak? Look no further than Joe's Home Improvements of Baltimore, MD! We ensure a quality job from professionals with tons of experience for all residential and commercial properties. Ours has been a locally-owned and operated business since our establishment in 1993.
I had water coming in somewhere and asked the person who had inspected my house before I bought it if he knew a good roofer. He recommended Joe. It's the best recommendation I've ever gotten. Joe was very prompt to come out and look at the job and give me an estimate after I called him. We scheduled a time for him to come and he came when he said he would. He replaced the roof without my having to be there by sending me pictures from his phone, and finished the job quickly, gave me a 10-year guarantee with instructions to have the roof recoated in five years. My roof is a flat roof. He also worked on the roof of friends with a sloped roof; they, too, were very pleased with the cost and the final job. The roof is a modified G.A.F. torch-applied rubber roofing system coated with pro grade aluminum fiber coating, including flashing.

I have a rowhouse with a flat roof. I bought it three years ago, at which time the owner had advertised the roof as having been replaced. Over the past year, however,I had noticed a leak along the edge of a wall that obviously was worse during all the rain we had. I asked my house inspector for a recommendation for a roofer to come check it out. He recommended Joe LaRicci. I called Mr. LaRicci and he came out within a day to inspect the roof and called to let me know that the roof was very cracked, that "someone had painted it white," and that I needed a new roof. He gave me a price and we agreed that he would come out either on Friday, Oct. 14 or Monday or Tuesday of the next week, depending on rain. He agreed to provide me with pictures of the before and after and also said I didn't have to be there. It rained Friday. On Wednesday morning, when I checked my email, Mr. LaRicci had sent me photos taken on Tuesday before he replaced the roof and right before he was finished so I could see what the cracked roof, the rubber roofing, and the rubber roofing coated with aluminum. He was prompt, fair, and left the area so clean I didn't even realize he had been there until he sent me the pictures. He's very straightforward and keeps his word. I recommend him very highly. It rained the day after he came. No more leaks.
Description of Work: Joe LaRicci installed new modified G.A.F torch applied rubber roofing system on main roof, final coat of pro grade aluminum fiber coating and all flashing on my rowhouse. He hauled all the debris. The work carries a ten-year warranty for leaks only and he recommended that the roof be resurfaced in five years

Not good. Lot's of mistakes. The guy I hired brought in inexperienced drywall people and drunks. Finishing job was horrible. I would not hire this person ever again. The guy lied to me. Sold me on his experience but didn't do most of the work himself and instead hired an inexperienced crew. I did not get what I paid for.
Description of Work: I'm not sure if this is the right service or not but I know that Ed Laricci goes by the name of Joe Laricci and he is based out of this zip code, 21211. I hired Ed who first introduced himself as Joe Laricci. This guy agreed to drywall my place. He used his father's MHIC number because he didn't have his own. He told me he was also in the roofing business but specialized in drywall. This guy has dark hair, wears glasses, and is about 5 feet 6 inches. He's about 51 or so years of age. I ordered the drywall materials under his supervision. Ed Laricci/Joe Laricci also known as Ed L'Rock, went up the local bars of Hampden and had drunks working on my place. Literally. In fact, he admitted it. It was the worst experience in my life. I'm still repairing his mistakes. He insisted I pay in cash. This guy lives right up the street from me on Chestnut Ave. It was a horrible experience. He installed and finished the drywall for the entire house. UPDATE (1/31/10) This is an addendum to my previous report. Althought I had only a verbal contract with Joe (or Ed Laricci), which is legally binding, I have no checks made out to him as he would only accept cash. However, I do have pictures of Mr. Laricci actually doing the work and witnesses who can verify that Mr. Laricci did ineed hire drunks (witnesses include ex girlfriend and my father, among others). Part of the $5200 dollars (about half) is from the materials I had to order under Mr. Laricci's supervision. On that account, he was also wrong because I have several buckets of drywall compound and tape left over in addition to multiple tubes of drywall adhesive--all ordered in quatity via Mr. Laricci's supervision/recommendation.

Joe Laricci came out pretty quick after I called him and decided to go ahead with the job. His crew came down and re-tarred my whole roof. The price was fairly reasonable I believe. It was done in one day. His crew was a little bit rowdy and loud, but it wasn't too bad. Joe himself was very professional. The one problem I had with the job was he disconnected the cable line before the job and then tarred over the plug so that I couldn't connect it back afterwards. Some of it was a little sloppy.
Description of Work: Resurfaced my lower and upper roof. The lower roof needed a lot more work than the upper one.

JR Laricci Home Improvements got the work done quickly and efficiently. They came when they said they would and were neat and clean. There was no mess for me to deal with. Their prices are a little steep, but their work quality is very good and very detailed.
Description of Work: They installed two flat roofs on our three story home. These were made out of fiberglass and tar. They did three coating. They did not remove the old roof. They also installed new wider gutters and downspouts.

Mr. La Ricci returned my phone call within a three hour time frame. He agreed to come out to inspect. I explained what I needed done and he indicated I didn't need to be home. He arrived the next day and made the repair at a very reasonable price. I am extremely pleased with the result.
Description of Work: Repaired downspout and unclogged drain.
