Hunny Do LLC

The job was NOT done even close to what the agreed outcome should have been. I scheduled an Angie List member to come to repaint but upon going onto the deck to see the paint that was remaining - I could peel off paint with my finger nail. It was not done even close to agreed upon AND although I realized not all paint would be removed I didn't need to see results that the area was not done properly AT ALL. None of the outside was washed, even to remove dirt and algae. Very displeased and there was no note to even give me reason that the result was so not ok.

Bruce did an amazing job! They arrived on time each day and cleaned up each evening. We were extremely pleased with their work. We now have our dream kitchen!

Mr. Stevenson and crew arrived on schedule and finished within the coupon's projected time frame. They were very courteous and most helpful. They did a excellent job on each of the items on my list and even took the time to replace some old piping while working on the kitchen faucet. We had a laugh when I explained how I broke the upstairs switch while attempting to do a dance move. I'm completely satisfied with their work and I will definitely be contacting Hunny Do LLC when my "hunny do" list fills up again.

Can't say enough about how pleased I am with this work. They responded quickly to my request and went over and above what they said they would do. They were also very pleasant and had helpful advice. The only slight hitch was one of scheduling, their previous job ran over so they were later than they had promised, but due to the other good thing I was ok with it.

He did not fix the leak when the work was done in Oct 2014. When it rained in the Spring of 2015, there was significant leakage. I contacted him, but he never responded to my request to come and fix it.

Handyman for a day - did a little plumbing, drywall repair, painting, electrical, and tile work. Biggest portion was retiling with stone tiles a tiki bar outside - did a marvelous job. Good communication; excellent, friendly service; and knowledge and skill made this an easy buy to recommend to all.

Overall very well. I think some of the measuring could have been a little more accurate but the mirror was quite heavy and in the long run it is not even noticeable. The worker was friendly and tried to do exactly what I asked. He was very efficient and I actually had time left over.

Mr. Bruce and crew were very prompt and arrived when they said they would. They got to work right away with the doors installation. They protected all interior surfaces and even took their shoes off when in the house. The doors were installed very professionally with some additional touches that were not outlined in the proposal. They came back the next day to paint the new trim and it all looks great. Everyone in the crew was very personable and professional. I will definitely use Hunny Do again in the future.

It was satisfactory, I wouldn't say it was good. The job overall was good, they did painting and just went over some rough spot that should have been sanded I think. I have to say they touched up a paint in my kitchen ceiling, it's sculptured ceiling sort of and there was a water leakage that has been there for a long time, they fixed that and they did a fantastic job on that, it's just you can't tell, where the stain was at all, you'll never know it was touched up. I don't know now If I would use them again because they left some spots on the bathroom wall that should have been sanded, there were some rough areas, that I need to cover up with picture or something, I think the guy was kind of new, because it's like a person stays with him for the most part of the job, and he was very nice, they were both very nice but I think the other guy wasn't used of doing the work.

Bruce Stevenson contacted me right away to schedule a sight visit to assess the labor needs behind the work I was asking for. He removed his shoes at the door without being asked. Upon assessing the situation, he scheduled a date for the work to be performed about a week out. The day before, I called him to make sure we were still on schedule. The next morning, he showed up with his three workers, they all left their shoes at the door. He explained to them what to do, made sure they had what they needed, then he left. The guys worked nonstop for about 3 hours; the deal was for 8 hours, so it was split between the 3 of them. I was pleased with the work and would use them again.

Couldn't have been worse. A waste of my time to even try to work with him.

He got held up so he was a bit late, but once he was here, he was very good at what he did. He hung two tv's without any issues, and put the lights in my ceiling as well. Very nice man, and his assistant was polite and nice as well.

It was coming down on the porch. I think the price was a bit much. They were very good.

Everything was excellent. Fairly priced, showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, respectful and professional. The work that was done looked very natural

After giving us the quote and promising to contact us via email with the quote in writing, we never heard from him again! Never another phone call, text message, email...NOTHING! If he didn't want the job, the professional thing to do would have been to at least contact us to let us know. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!

The service for the big deal from Hunny Do LLC turned out alright. I think I was billed for 2 hours of work and it took him about an hour to get it done. I sent him an email but I haven't heard from him. I sent him an email advising him of the fact that maybe I have an hour coming on for maybe some future work but I never heard from him again. Just one guy showed up. I contacted Angie's List but they put me in touch with this person. I contacted them and Angie's List billed me, I paid Angie's List for it and he came out and did the work. There seemed to be some confusion on his part because he didn't recognize and then I explained it to him that I already paid Angie's List for the work that was to be done. There was nothing additional to the charges. I mainly would rate this company a 'B' and not an 'A' because I paid for 2 hours and I only had 1 hour, that is the main thing that I remember, other than that the guy was alright. If it was a complaint I would have called Angie's List back and lodged a complaint. My only issue was that I paid for 2 hours and I only got really one hour worth of work. The guy did alright. He did what he was supposed to do and that was pretty much it. For the price, if I paid for 2 hours and only got one hour, obviously I was over charged. It cost me 180, you divide that and it should have cost me 90 bucks and that was it, that is what it should have cost me but instead it cost me twice that. The reason why it was billed at 2 hours is because when I spoke to Angie's List that was the minimum number of hours that it was estimated to do that work. I said okay, it it was 2 hours based on the description that I gave then that is 2 hours but it didn't take 2 hours it took 1 hour. He was supposed to be there at 10 o'clock but he didn't get there until much later.

Initially after I used the Angie's List website to contact the provider, I heard back in about 2 days. Despite providing several different available dates to have the work done, Hunny Do wasn't able to come on those days. Additionally, as I had to provide the supplies, I asked him to give me an idea of what I needed to purchase. After some back and forth, to tell me what I need, he agreed to come by and look at the job. I thought he might do the job that day since it was not that big of a job (and wouldn't likely take 8 hours --and at this point I just wanted it done even if it meant not getting what I paid for). But he didn't do it that day. He did come by my house -- and was even early -- but I didn't have a great vibe from him. Can't put my finger on what it was though. He looked at the job and said he could do it and told me what type of insulation I'd need and that he'd let me know what would work for his schedule. I never heard from him. I tried to contact him again but received no response at all - not even an acknowledgment of my inquiries. I ended up contacting Angie's list from a refund and, because so much time had passed, was able to buy a deal from a different provider but not get a refund. That was ok because ultimately, I want the work done. Though this isn't the place to add it probably, I must say, in contrast to Hunny Do, Angie's List customer service was pretty great and the provider I ended up with, Myriad LLC (who has done other work at my house) is also really great. Run by an awesome and reliable gentleman named Lloyd. I would never hire Hunny Do again because I feel like I could never trust them to show up or the quality of their work. Very disappointing.

Failed to provide an estimate after visiting my home.

I had problems with this handyman from start to finish: He never answered my e-mail suggesting three times for him to come, so I had to call him. He was supposed to arrive at 11 am on a Friday, but he called and asked if he could come at 9 am instead so he could fit in another customer. I agreed to 9 am, and he arrived almost an hour late, with no apologies. I needed to have two rugs, which were badly bunched up, laid out smoothly. The handyman failed to do this, leaving bumps in both rugs. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice this until he had left. I asked him to put up two pictures and to make sure they were centered on the wall. When he mounted the pictures, they weren’t centered at all. I asked him, nicely, to correct this mistake and he was quite unpleasant, although he did made it right. Finally, I asked him to mount a closet organizer inside a kitchen cabinet to hold plastic wrap, tin foil, etc. He put it up so unevenly that whenever I take a roll of wrap out of the organizer, the other rolls fall forward. (Again, I didn’t notice this until he had left.)

The provider was knowledgeable and dependable. Items completed in a timely manner. The provider did a very good job.

unprofessional and disinterested

He is unresponsive. I have contacted him many times and he says he will call me back, but never does.

They came to my house at 1:35 this afternoon. I called them this morning around 6:30-6:45 and they said they would be here around noon. I walked them through the house and told them everywhere there was tape that I needed them painted and provided the paint. I showed them outside the things I needed to have done. They asked me what needed to be done first and I told them outside. They went ahead and took off the garage trim and the bay window trim and repaired and repainted them. They only painted around the area that they repaired and didn't paint the whole area. He told me that he didn't have an extension to get the rest of it. I told him about this when I spoke with him this morning. They didn't bring an extension for the paint roller. They were aware that these were the things I needed done when I called them this morning and they came unprepared. They came with two people and they haven't done nearly as much as I needed done. Since there were two of them, they only stayed for two hours since the big deal I purchased was for four labor hours. After an hour and a half of work they are still working outside and haven't done anything inside the house that I needed done. I provided drop cloths to keep everything clean, inside and out. I had to ask them to clean up the driveway because they got paint on it. I shouldn't have to ask for them to clean up after themselves. I didn't get the work done that I thought I was going to and I am left with half of my project incomplete.

He did this without a drop of water on the floor, impressive.....

We purchased a row house that was built in 1903 and the house had many items that needed to be addressed. We were thrilled to find one company that could take care of all the items on our list. Bruce, the owner, was extremely responsive and came out in a timely manner to provide us an estimate. Because so much work needed to be completed, the job was completed in about a week (they would have completed it sooner but it was our schedule that pushed things back). No matter what items we identified that needed to be fixed, Bruce was able to take care of it. For example, we smelled gas permeating in the kitchen even when the oven was not turned on. Bruce checked the gas line to the gas oven/stove and learned that the initial install was not done correctly. He gave us an estimate, went and got the parts,and fixed the gas line connection to the oven. One day I was cleaning the windows and the window got stuck and could not be closed (it was about 20 degrees outside). When I asked Bruce if he could help me fix it (this was not part of the estimate nor was it on either of our radar screens) he quickly identified the problem and closed it (thank goodness)! Bruce will be back out soon to complete a few exterior items that we put on hold until the weather got warmer. I highly recommend Hunny Do's services and will absolutley hire them again! Try them out, you won't be disappointed.
