When I was initially approached, I was told that I would have a free install and that I would receive the next three months of service for free. After that, I would be charged for one month and then a credit of $500.00 would be placed into my Customer for Life (CFL) account and I could use that to pay for my monthly service fee, therefore resulting in nearly 10 more months free service. Once I had paid for that 4th month, I explained to the customer service representative that I would like to pay the next few months from my CFL account and was told that 1. there was no monies in that account and 2. you are not allowed to draw from that account until you have completed 2 years of service with them. I immediately contacted them to tell them that I would like them to remove their service from my home, and was asked to write an account of what happened... sign it and mail it into them so that they could investigate the situation. As I was preparing my statement, I noticed that the outlet that the main board was plugged into was not working (and hadn't been for some time) and inspite of that fact they had not called me or sent police out to my home, thus proving that they do not monitor anything AT ALL. I wrote my letter and mailed it on the 22nd of July and received an email stating that they had received it and would let me know by the end of the next week.... however here we are 3 weeks later (STILL NO POWER TO THE ALARM SYSTEM) and I still haven't heard anything. I emailed them and they replied just yesterday (Monday July 13) that they are looking into and should have an answer by next week but at this point I feel that is as good as a form letter response. Stay away from them. No matter what they offer, they are going to find a way to get you in the end. They gave the same offer to my neighbor and he is trying to fight it as well. But at this point I figure they are just going to try and string us along, and continue to draft my card for the $52.99 a month.
