Wish all companies would act like HOP does when ordering from Angies list!!!

Description of Work: 14 labor hours for $499 special. | |Scraped off drywall mud on basement CBS wall damaged by water damage and skimmed on Masonry Cement. | |Two employees worked hard and accomplished a lot. However, in their zeal to complete, they also skimmed masonry cement on crown moulding. Otherwise, very conscientious.

Description of Work: Repaired drywall on ceiling caused by water damage and painted the same. Completed some finish trim around a new window and painted the same. My original intent when I purchased the "Big Deal" was the featured drywall repair. When I found (while they were there for the job) that they also could do trim carpentry, I added that to the job. They finished both projects in a few hours. The add-on price for the extra job (beyond the "Big Deal") was very reasonable, and they made an effort to minimize my costs. Both jobs turned out fine. I would use them again.

Description of Work: I had really hoped to find a good painter, Hands On Painters has good reviews. While they were generally good, there were too many little things for me to ever use them again. They removed wall paper in two rooms, painted the living room, kitchen, dining room, family room, utility room, pantry, master bedroom, two bathrooms and the garage. So pretty much the whole the house. They did not properly cover the hardwood floors which lead to a lot paint splatter on the newly refinished floors. I spent about 4 or 5 hours removing most of it. They also got paint on some of the new trim. This was brand new trim as I watch the re-finisher remove the old trim. Also, during their time in the house a cordless screwdriver went missing. I mentioned this to the crew leader Alex, he stated he would talk to the crew. It seemed we had at least one different painter practically everyday. When they painted the garage they must have left the door to the kitchen open on the second day as a large amount of dust cover the first floor. It was so bad I went and bought the special filters for drywall dust. They work quite well. They also used a sprayer and once again the did not protect the floor and there is noticeable over spray on the floor. So in my opinion they are not a top tier painter. The actual painting was pretty good though.

Description of Work: We had wallpaper removed in our breakfast room and the room prepared for my husband to paint it. When my husband did the painting, imperfections appeared in the plaster work and the painting we were unhappy with the painting. Alex came out, had a look, said it's hard to see imperfections until the room is actually painted, and offered to have the men come and repaint the room. It now looks beautiful and we were very satisfied with Hands on Painters. We will use them again.

Description of Work: The painters were clean and very professional in their approach to the work arriving ahead of schedule -- covering floors, taping and clean-up; it was a quality job. They were very good in communicating regarding specific items and taking care of a few things I had not requested.

Description of Work: Well, I just had a new deck, 16'by 21' replaced on my house. I was looking for a painter to put a clear sealant on the deck. I was told by the the construction company that it would cost about 300 dollars to have the sealant put on the deck. Well, Hands on Painters quoted me 1775.00. Even though it was a brand me deck that was completed the day I called them they were going to power wash the deck and etc. I ended up doing the sealant myself. My landscaping company was going to do the sealant for 300.00 plus the cost of the sealant. This company way over priced themselves. The owner did email and communicated with me after I complained. I think because I was an "Angie List" customer. ($1775.00)
