They arrived on time and even a little early for estimate and work. I thought the cost a little high for painting the walls of our living room a new color, but chose them because of their excellent reviews. Once they started the work I immediately understood the reason for the slightly higher price - their prep, cleanliness and finishing were outstanding. I thought the room was in good shape, as it had been painted 2 years ago, and no pictures, curtains or wall hangings had been put up. However Jamie pointed out shoddy trim work done by the previous painters, repaired gouges and wall imperfections that I didn't see previously and vacumed up the patch dust after he sanded. He covered our furniture and protected the hardwood floors meticulously & used a floor fan and timed his lunch break late to make sure the paint was completely dry between coats. The work took the entire day, and Jaime cleaned up just as thoroughly as he prepped the walls - not a speck of spackle dust remained! Our room looks gorgeous.

They arrived on time and were professional. The work they performed was great and I had no problems from start to finish.

Painted and trimmed my kitchen (approx 10x12'). The cabinets were already in and there is very little wall space. They did a great job, but it cost too much.

Everyone was sincerely interested in doing a good job and asked questions to ensure they got it right. The work was done in the expected time. The deck looks great and left no mess behind. It was a pleasure dealing with these guys!

I am very glad I selected this provider based off the Angie's List reviews. They were very easy to work with when I needed some extra flexibility. First they allowed me to select my date in advance. However, when that date arrived the conditions were too wet to do what I had originally planned. They let me swap out some other painting projects on short notice, and then went back and finished the original request when the site had dried out. They put everything back in order when they left, and maintained a very clean work site. Everything looks so great now, I wish I had done this sooner.

Hands On Painters (HOP) has been my best contractor experience by far! The job took about a week to do, and they were there early every day and ready to go by 9am. The team was always courteous, professional, and focused on their job. I had a mixture of new boards and old boards (plus some holes that I had patched with less-than-optimal filler), and HOP took the time to blend it together perfectly. I saw the team meticulously scraping away old caulk, not just around doors and windows, but doing a thorough job everywhere. My wife and I weren't completely sure about color choices since we didn't really know how colors would turn out in reality. Alex, the field manager (for lack of my knowing his actual title) was patient and helpful, while still keeping the project right on track. During the project there were a couple of questions concerns. Some might have called them hiccups, but Alex didn't even let them progress that far. He was very accommodating and wanted us to be pleased with the work. We were never left feeling like we were putting them out in any way, and we were left feeling that all of our concerns were taken care of. During the project there were times when we completely deferred to Alex and his professional opinion. We don't regret any of them. We are very pleased with the results. I should also note that they were very tidy and conscientious of the property. They thoroughly covered plants when pressure washing, they taped when they needed to, and they always cleaned up. At the end of the job, there wasn't a mess to be found. Just a fresh looking house. I have paid a lot of money to contractors over the years. I clearly paid a lot to HOP. This is the first time that I felt I got my money's worth. Not only that, but with no hassle! Thank you, Hands On Painters!

They did work in several rooms of the house. They were very professional and polite and cleaned up better than most contractors. The drywall finishing was so smooth and level that I couldn't even tell were the damage and holes were in the end. I plan to have them paint some more rooms, when I have the money, but they did the important parts and it was wonderful. I liked the way they estimated each part of the house as a separate price because I had so many areas that needed partial to full repair and paint. So I could pick each area that was important and agreed with the price. If some areas seemed too expensive or not as important to me to do now, I could wait on those and revisit later or get another quote from another painter to compare.

We had a great experience with Hands-on painters. It took a little while for them to get to us in their busy schedule (I guess they are popular), but once they were on our project, they didn't waste any time. They did a great job painting our house - clean lines and thorough quality. They were very patient with us as we struggled a bit finding the right colors. We also liked that they organized and used their own people to replace some rotten siding and wood work. We will definitely use them again.

Contacted Hands on Painter to get estimate for painting. After they came to the house to do estimate three days had passed and I received no estimate. Contacted them and they said they would be preparing the estimate in two days. Two days passed no estimate. Contacted them again and said they did e-mail it to me, I said I did not receive. They asked me to give me the e-mail again - did so then received the estimate. If it takes this company this long for estimate I have no faith in them painting my house.

Hands On Painters did a good job patching the plaster in our hall bath but this didn't take too much time. That's my fault, not theirs.

These guys were great when they came out for the estimate. I dealt with the owner, he seemed smart and reliable. He took careful notes and sent a detailed, professional quote. They weren't cheap, but I wasn't looking for cheap. Their painters spent two days in my apartment. They were neat and clean, and left things in reasonably good order. However, they painted my living room the wrong color. I gave them Benjamin Moore paint chips and color numbers. They insisted they could match the color in Sherwin Williams, and I'm sure they can, but when I hold the chip up to the wall, it isn't even close. It's about 2-3 shades too dark. The handyman work was polite and mostly very good. However, the curtain rod they installed fell down less than a month after I hung drapes on it. The window treatment man I've since consulted stated that they used the wrong sized wall anchors. I'm no expert, but a curtain rod shouldn't fall down. During the work, I didn't receive sufficient communication, and after the work was complete, and I told them they painted in the wrong color, they were not particularly concerned. I would not hire them again.

It went very smoothly. I provided the materials and he was able to install the railing within minutes, it seemed. I also inquired about other items around the house and he gave very informative answers.

The work was well-done. However, the amount of time that was required for the job was significantly underestimated. The estimate was based on a description over the phone of the sizes of the areas affected by the water damage; perhaps it would have been more accurate if photos or in-person inspection had been done -- though even the person who arrived to do the work seemed to think it would take less than it did before he got into it. The Bid Deal covered four hours worth of work, but even getting the job to a place where it was ready for painting (which I could take care of independently) required additional hours of labor at the regular ( higher) cost per hour. While I am happy with the finished product, it would have been nice to know up front that 4 hours was not close to covering the labor needed, even without re-painting. The cost of the Big Deal was good -- but the regular cost per hour added on top lessened the deal.

The company sent a representative out to meet with us prior to painting. We scheduled a date. An individual painted arrived the morning we agreed upon. He was pleasant and punctual. He was able to complete the task requested in the time frame asked. Cleaned and maintained the area so there was no mess. The painting job was professional. We love our new guest bath!

It was excellent. I asked them install some lights outside for dawn to dusk. They said they did but they didn't and they took the sensors.

At first contact they were very responsive, had someone out pretty quick and gave us several options. I told my wife the Big Deal was for her to decide and I guess that was my mistake but I hate to have work done without her approval, (kinda picky). I kept reminding her but to no avail, see, she works for the US Government, Need I say more???? Anyway, I will try to have her contact them and see if we are seriously out of luck on this. Next time I will only purchase Big Deals within my area of responsibility.

That went well. I would recommend them. They did the work fine and they were on time. I have no complaints. I paid a little more, because it took an extra hour for them to do the service.

They left a mess and had to call them back twice. He cleaned up with a dirty rag.

GREAT! The holes, one from a leak and one from plumbing work, were not so straightforward. Strangely shaped in drywall over plaster over lathe - meant that a lot had to be cut away in multiple layers to even get a patchable hole. Then those layers have to be built back up - sandwiching the appropriate number of layers to make up for lathe, plaster and drywall. Lucio did a TREMENDOUS job! It looks great, and is so smooth that only a small amount of sanding will be required before priming. He was prompt, courteous and very conscientious about my property; he cleaned up thoroughly. I had also used "Hands on" for their handyman service, which was absolutely the best I'd ever encountered (and I've had a LOT). I have already booked a proposal visit to give me pricing on a full ceiling and on some very tricky handyman work, and have given their number to some friends. Highly recommend.

Hands on Painters was responsive and provided excellent results on a schedule that worked well for our family of four. The final cost seems fair and reflected the original estimate which was well presented and thorough. The estimator and project supervisor Derrick demonstrated an understanding of interior home painting and the project requirements. The crew supervisor and Derrick made sure that each step of the project was completed correctly and cleanned up properly over the five days so that we could continue to use our home with minimal inconvenience. Our family highly recommendeds Hands on Painters which is consistent with previous evaluations on this company presented on Angies List.

Everything went well, there were some places left on the trim that showed the previous color. The guest bedroom that was to have the ceiling painted, only had a patch painted and not the entire thing, so it left a streak down the middle of the ceiling.
