Hands On Painters Inc

My experience with Hands On Painters Inc. went fine. It was good. They were professional and timely. Their price was good. I hired them to finish the bathroom, with the painting, as well. They were in contact with me right after I purchased the Big Deal, within a day or two and the following week, they came out and performed the work. They came out two weeks after that to do the painting. It was a very prompt service. They nailed it.

He was good and it only took him about 4 hours. He did a great job. I would use them again.

The scheduling was easy, the workers were punctual and efficient, and the quality of the repairs was good. Ultimately, we had no problems with the service.

It went well! The gentleman sent to do the work was on time, very courteous and did a good job. He answered questions regarding how to fix certain areas of gaps in new interior doors and crown molding and even showed me how to do it. This I greatly appreciated as it was above and beyond the drywall repairs he was here to do! The owner arrived approx. 2.5 hours into the job to check on the work which really impressed me. He also spent time going over some possible future projects I taking notes and mailed an estimate with each job broken down exactly as I'd requested. Stellar customer service and good work!

I purchased a Big Deal from Angie's List and provided paint/rollers/etc, so the price listed above was a crazy good deal (should ordinarily be at least twice that.) It took several phone calls and messages to (and from) the office to schedule a date (we kept missing each other), but they were able to get me on the schedule right away (within a week). On the scheduled date, Jamie and Elmer arrived right on time and listened carefully as I showed them what needed to be done. The walls were in pretty bad shape since wallpaper had been removed and a decorative crackle treatment had been applied to the trim, as well as a decorative paint splatter to half the walls. I did not expect the team to be able to finish the room in one day, but I was hoping they could make a good dent. They were so fast and worked very hard (and quietly), checking in if they had questions and inviting me to examine their progress. Jamie was in contact with the office several times throughout the day to check in on the job progress, and Derrick (Hands On owner) even stopped by to check in. All I can say is WOW! They finished the room in one day, going way above and beyond what I expected in terms of both time to completion and quality. To say that it looks incredible is an understatement--they undertook a monumental task and I have no idea how they did it in the span of a day. The quality of the job far-exceeded my pretty picky standards and it is obvious that they really know their stuff and get it done right. I'll be saving my pennies to hire them again--we still have some interior and exterior painting, and now that I've seen what they can do, I would also love to have them back to improve some of the trim caulk/paint that I undertook myself in the rest of the house.

He repaired the drywall made it nice and smooth, however his work shows through the paint. He was pleasant and worked efficiently.

It went GREAT! It started with speaking to a friendly person to set the date for the painters to come. The morning of our appointment, we received a telephone call confirming that the painters would be coming and what time we could expect to see them; they arrived on time. The guys got right to work and they did a wonderful and professional job. A supervisor stopped by the house to check on the progress, pointed out an area or two that needed a little attention which was tended to by the painters and we could not be happier with the quality of work. A day or two later, I received a follow up telephone call inquiring on our satisfaction. We really appreciate the professionalism of the company as well as the quality of work performed. We will definitely recommend them to anyone.

Scheduling was fine and they did a great job. They were very nice and accommodating and did a fine job. The cost was reasonable

It was perfect. He did a great job. I chose three dates and they were able to accommodate our first date. You couldn't tell there was ever a problem in the kitchen ceiling.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was wonderful. They were great. They were very professional. They did a very, very nice job and I was very pleased. It was a pretty big job and it took them a number of hours. It took a little longer than the 3 hours so I paid them an additional $100. I would recommend them. The young man was as nice as he could be and I was so surprised they could get all of that done. I would absolutely use them again.

I purchased the Big Deal on 1/18/14 and provided dates that would work. I did receive an email back saying that they would call to schedule. after a lengthy game of telephone tag in which I left more possible dates, the work is still not scheduled (2/28/14).

It went very well-the workers were efficient, diligent, pleasant and careful. Furniture was moved back into place after the work and no mess was left behind. We were pleased that the work took only two days when the estimate had been three to four days. It was a good experience.

Everything went fine. They even came on a Saturday to finish up the work. We intend to use them again.

They came on time, did the job in a timely manner, and no other charge was added to the job.

The work performed was terrific - I had a 3-hour special deal for plastering and was able to get ceilings in two large rooms plastered (each had problems in 3 areas that needed repairs) as well as painted the same day, which (given my schedule) was amazing. The painter told me how much ceiling paint he needed and stayed until both rooms were completed, working at a reduced hourly rate thanks to the special offer. He did a nice job with the clean up (lots of plaster = lots of dust of course). One other note: I signed up for the special deal early in the year, a busy time for me, work-wise. I had a tough time getting the work scheduled and I believe it was about six weeks after the special deal was offered that I finally had it completed. I really appreciate Teresa's help and patience in getting the work scheduled and honoring the special deal price quoted. Many thanks! My living room and bedroom both look awesome!

Outsanding!! The painter arrived on time with a project manager. They reviewed the project together and reviewed the time allocation. The painter was careful, thorough and took pride in his work. He was very attentive to protecting the woodwork. I shall be using Hands On Painters for my next job. I recommend them highly.

The painter covered all the furniture. He did a great job painting and cleaned up after he was finished.

This was the 16 hour big deal. The workers showed up on time and did a great job. Everything looks fantastic, and they did a great job cleaning up. The workers were polite and professional. The only issue I had was when their supervisor showed up and took it upon himself to just open my door and walk into my home. I had no idea a third person was coming over and suddenly turned around and he was standing in my bedroom door. Luckily for him, I had my dog in his cage. Needless to say I was NOT happy, and when I tried to talk to him about that he had an attitude. He told me he had been doing this for 18 years and always did this. I told him that it is not appropriate to walk into someones house, when not expected. I will say that we he came back the second time, he knocked on the door and waited for me to open the door.

They did beautiful work. We're very happy with the results. They were on time, polite, and efficient. They cleaned up well afterwards. We have used them on another job since then, and they did just as fine a job with that, too. On the second job, they repainted our living room and bedroom. They moved all the furniture for us, protected everything with lots of dropcloths, and did an excellent job at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them.

In general they were fine. The only problem was that they were due to come at 8:30am, and at 7:45 am I called them to let them know we were without electricity/heat due to the ice storm. The guy said they would still come. However, they typically used a heat gun to dry the compound, which wouldn't dry. They tried to charge me an additional $45 for another hour so they could sand and finish the job. I was not happy that they made a bad judgement call that they thought they could get everything done within that 3 hour window without having heat or electricity.

I was happy with them. I needed some spots touched up where some previous painters had left bare, and some carpet installers had dinged the walls. The painter was nice and I ended up paying them for an additional hour and a half. The lady in the office was nice and helpful as well.

He was professional and did a great job. They sent out one painter. He was very steady. It was tedious work and he was neat and clean throughout the process.

Both jobs were done quickly, cleanly, and beautifully. Any dust from the sanding was cleared up and we are very satisfied with their work. Also, they arrived a little early for their job, a new experience for me with a contractor.

The price was less than other estimates I got. The workmen were here on time, and worked diligently all day. They moved the furniture and covered everything with plastic, cleaned up, put the furniture back where it belonged, and didn't make a splash of paint anywhere. You can't even tell there was wallpaper on the wall. Where the walls and ceiling meet were done perfectly. I have recommended them to a friend, and would definitely use them again.
