My experience with Hands on Painters was great from start to finish. I purchased the $99 Angie's List deal for 2 hours of water-damage repair. I was contacted promptly for scheduling, and my appointment was confirmed via phone the day prior. The service provider arrived at the beginning of the window I had been provided and was very courteous. He laid down drop cloths from the front door, up the stairs, and up to the work area. The work required more time than the deal bought me, and I was charged $45/hour for the overage. The supervisor also showed up to check on the work performed and offered to give me quotes for any other work I might want in the future. I was very happy with the work performed and will certainly use them for any painting or repair work I need in the future.

Scheduled fairly quickly, did a great job, cleaned up. Would definitely hire again.

I purchased a Big Deal for $129 for 3 hours of painting. Although the company initially replied quickly to the Big Deal purchase, it was challenging scheduling the appointment. I called and left several messages that were not returned. Once I finally received a return call from Theresa, she was able to schedule me very quickly. The painter, Lucio, arrived on time and was very professional. The ground was wet from the freezing rain, so he immediately put down covering in the foyer and stairway once he was inside of the house. He even took off his shoes and got to work. I had some nail pops & cracks in the wall and baseboards which he agreed to repair and was upfront in telling me it would probably take an additional 1 1/2 - 2 hours to fix, and that it would cost me an additional $45 an hour. I agreed to the extra time and money and he began. Lucio worked non-stop for 5 hours and applied 2 coats of the paint that I supplied. He was very meticulous and careful about his work. I was amazed at his work and very satisfied with the end result. I will most definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone who needs painters.

They were able to handle all the work "in house," which was a big savings in time and expense. They kept to the timetable they indicated, which was quite reasonable. When problems were brought to their attention, they handled them expeditiously and well, and when an item proved to be too expensive were happy to leave it out.

The two painters arrived on time and worked diligently at the difficult task of patching holes, taping and mudding the ceiling. They painted the areas that needed to be painted. They were a bit pressed for time, and to their credit, they were trying to get done everything that I asked them to do. Although they put down dropclothes, they did leave a few paint drops behind, but I was able to clean these up easily and am thankful that they focused on getting the work done. I look forward to using this company again.

It was not a good experience. It sucked badly. They came within a week I purchased the big deal. They finally finished the job, but they overcharged me drastically because the first guy they sent out did not know what he was doing and I ended up paying for 11 hours of work that should have taken only 5 hours. It was because he did not know what he was doing and when he left it wasn't done right and wasn't finished. So they had to send someone else out. The second guy whom they sent out was really good at it. I sent pictures of water damage and sagging plaster. The picture showed the egg shell of plaster was broken off. So this requires someone who knows plaster work. They sent someone who can do drywall which was completely different. He had no idea what to do. So I was charged almost 500$ that should have been done in half the time. He did not have the materail when he came here. He spent hours on the phone and I kept on telling him that you guys should first figure out long time it would take. He went out to get the material knowing it is a plaster job. I was charged for an hour when he was not here. I paid 360$ extra for the 129$ that they charged. When you do plaster work, you have open it up and keep making more plaster and get rid of the old stuff as it dries up. The work was in the bathroom and when it was finished, he has put so much of crap in the bath tub and I had to spend 2 hours cleaning it up. He spent so much time, overcharged me and screwed up the job. I will never have them again.

The painting was okay, there is still a spot that did not get fully covered and I did not get a chance to touch that up yet, so that is a little bit of a pain. There was also water damage from the shower that they did a really good job on so I am very happy with that. There was someone that came to check the employees work, so I'm surprised that the spot ended up being there. All in all, a good job.

They plastered a hole in our ceiling that had been there for quite some time. We had tried to plaster it ourselves, but what they did was unbelievable. They were awesome and very top notch. Their draping was also great, no dust, no paint splatter. Again they were top notch!

Job was done within the specified time frame and the wall looks great. You cannot tell there was water damage there . Worker repaired the site, then painted over the area so that it looks like new. I am very satisfied with the results.

I have used their services since they started with just two guys. I really liked them. They had great personalities and had always done a wonderful job. This is the first case where we have had troubles with them. They came and spent three days on the work and didn’t do a good job. The job was not done neat and they even painted over all the light switches. When we called them, they came back out and spent four days re-doing the work. We were not satisfied with their customer service and we feel that it is almost null. I was so unhappy with everything they did. They never once apologized or took responsibility even though they said they would re-do it. When my son complained about the amount of dust on his electronic equipment, the worker just said that the home was dirty anyway. That was really unprofessional. The worker never apologized and my son ended up having to kick them out for the rest of that day when he had to go back to work. Every time I called Derek, he called me right back. He would meet with me every time I had requested. The job took in total eight days to paint a three bedroom townhouse. It started in January and they finished it this past Monday. I felt that the cost was high, but I chose them knowing that it was good quality of work to be expected. When they finished the job, it was beautiful. It was just as we had expected them to do. The work ended up being great, but we probably wouldn’t call them back based on all we had to go through with this experience.

It was okay, they could have moved a little faster but they tried to progress, but it's alright. They just took their time. they could have moved a little bit faster. The work he did could have been done in one hour or one and a half. I had already framed out the area; all they had to do was mud it out for me and just move the wall out for me. It was not like a big test. It shouldn't haven't taken that long.

It turned out okay. It took quite awhile to schedule it. They didn't come until September or October. They weren't very accommodating about when they could come out. When they actually came the work was fine.

It went great! They were professional and seemed to really know what they were doing. I liked that they took my concerns about lead paint seriously. The paint was badly peeling and flaking so they did have to do some scraping to be able to paint over it. They tested the paint before they began work, and took precautions to minimize lead dust and debris. I did still follow up with my own hepa-filtered shop-vac after they left, but I was planning on that all along. I love that this company has a handyman division. The handyman who repaired our door frame and reinstalled the screen door was very capable and worked fast. They scheduled it perfectly so that he was done with the door by the time the painters were ready to paint it. When Jonathan came out for the estimate, we had just moved in and had a list of things to repair around the house. He took time to talk about different projects and gave very helpful advice. He was very candid about what his company could do, and what kind of contractors we should call for other projects, and suggested ways to save money. I called Hands On Painters a couple of months later for a project at my grandmother's house, and again Jonathan came and was very helpful and took time to talk about the project, even though he realized pretty quickly it wasn't a project his company could do. He made referrals for us and even followed up after the fact. It was cool to see how he cares about his customers and getting projects done right. I'll definitely call Hands On Painters when we need painters or handymen in the future.

Hands On Painters Inc did an excellent job. They were professional and quick. The technician was hard working and capable. I would use them again in the future.

It went great! They called 2days before planned start to ask if they could begin earlier as the weather was forcing them to delay exterior work on another job. Of course we agreed and they came one day prior to agreed upon start and had what must have been the equivalent of 3 crews in the house. Despite the number of crew it was like a well oiled machine. They had every square inch of the painting area tarped and covered and began on wall repair and ceilings in record time. Altho on subsequent days they didn't have as many on the crew they were super efficient. Even more importantly they did a super quality job, everything looks amazing. Can't say enough good things about Hands on Painters. They assign an 'offsite project manager' (we had Cesar) and onsite manager (Fidel) and they were both excellent to work with. To really describe their level of customer service....while they were using a heat gun near the end of the job one of our circuits blew. No biggie, flipped it back on and thought all was well. We realized later that a dimmer switch on that circuit got fried when it blew. We bought a new dimmer and contacted Cesar at HOP about having someone from their 'handyman' division come out to install it. They sent someone out within the week who installed dimmer for us at no charge. Going that extra mile in customer service is something I will never forget and for that reason plus the great work they do I have already recommended them to two friends looking for painters. Plus we plan to have them back in the Spring for some exterior painting work.

I will not give you all the details, but I will not use this painter again.

I had painting done throughout my house and tile replaced in 2 bathrooms in my home in June 2014. The painting job was good, no real issues there. There were a few issues with the tile & grout work, mainly with the clean up process, but the company quickly rectified the situation once it was brought to their attention. The owner, Jonathan, was very helpful in making sure any issues I had were resolved, and went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied.

Excellent Job all the way around! Very Happy with this company's and its workers efforts. Very professional Exterior paint job on on various surfaces (Stucco, peeling paint & masonry, wood, etc). Worked with little supervision and quickly finished job within a couple days. While no one is perfect, they returned after I pointed out some issues (missed area, slight overspray, etc) with the job and took care of everything completely to my satisfaction. They did these corrections within two days of my notification. I would definitely hire this company again and only sorry I did not get an estimate on the interior painting I had to do on this house.

Hands on Painters Inc. was very professional and efficient from the start to the finish of the project. During the walk thru they listened well and provided a detailed quote covering everything we discussed. The contract was straight forward and easy to understand. Once the contract was agreed to they efficiently fulfilled their commitments. What more can you ask for in a business relationship?

Crew showed up on the dates as promised, did very nice preparation and paint work. Would definitely use them again.
