it was a geat deal. I had some rotten wood on my porches' ceiling and trim. It was in several places around the house. In the 4 hours he fixed all the spots, painted them, and to my surprise, repainted my entire front porch ceiling for me. I was extremely pleased.

Bad weather meant a long wait for non-rainy days but the work was done within 7 weeks, I'm not complaining. The staff were very professional and quality conscious. There was a lot of wood to clean, stain and they brushed the stain on and the results were excellent.

They did a wonderful job at a great price. Punctual, professional and clean. We have more painting projects coming up in the future and will definitely being using Hand On Painters. We have already recommended them to friends and will continue to do so.

Guy wasn't prepared to pick up drywall as I requested, and his work was sloppy. My bathroom was also left a mess.

Summary: Pros: Reasonable price, on time completion, very responsive leadership team. Cons: Did not protect floor and did not correctly re-install items removed to enable painting. Review: We were preparing our house for renters and needed a paint job done in four days, sandwiched between furniture being moved out and flooring company replacing some carpets. Hands on said they could do the job, were very professional and were reasonable priced. I am sure some of the items I mention below are a result of the need to hurry and get the job done on a deadline. In the end the final product looks good and I would probably use Hands on Painter again; however, there are a few items to watch if you are a prospective client. First, the house was completely empty with the exception of blinds, a few curtains, towel holders, switch covers, you get the idea. I asked if I should take any of these items down and I was told the team would remove anything they needed moved and replace it when complete. For the most part they did. Unfortunately, they did not install one curtain rod correctly, broke one of the brackets holding a set of blinds, disengaged the garage door (and did not know how to re-engage), installed towel holders upside down, and in some cases flip flopped towel holder positions on one door and one wall. Most of it was easily fixed. I bought a new set of blinds (to be fair they were old but they did not say anything about the damage and I only found out about it when I went to lower them and they ended up on the floor.) I moved items around to the correct places, re-connected the drive on the garage door but I could not figure out how to get the curtain rod working in front of our slider. Hands on Painters sent out one of their handy men and he was able to get it back in service. My recommendation for new clients is to remove items before they come in to paint or take pictures of any complicated configurations because, while the team was good at painting, they were not careful about putting things back the way they were. Second, the job included drywall repair of the ceiling in the garage (someone may have stepped off a beam when installing some plywood) and painting the interior of the garage (including the floor). I was so impressed with the way the garage looked I completely overlooked the fact that they did not paint the door to the garage leading into the house. The interior side was painted by the team working in our great room but the team working the garage missed their side of the door. My recommendation: for a big job have someone else walk through with you to help you see things you might miss. Last, Hands on Painters recommended A Plus Carpet and Flooring (separate review) and we had them scheduled to come in immediately following the painters to replace some carpets and clean some carpets. Perhaps I should not have let them know A Plus was scheduled in the house because there were white paint drips on the carpet throughout the house. I was able to scratch off the drips on the hardwood floor but A Plus was unable to get out the paint in the carpet in the basement, the second floor stairs or bedroom on the second floor. Once the A Plus representative pointed out the spots that were not coming out I got down on my hands and knees and started scrubbing each spot. After A Plus treated a spot I was able to peal most of the paint off the carpet fiber, but it was fiber by fiber and not always successful. I was in and out of the house most of the time Hands on Painters was working and they had drop cloths on the floor. I don?t know how the paint ended up so prevalent; however, if you are having them paint your floor molding and you are not replacing the carpet, make sure they put down a drop cloth.

This was a tedious job with old paint, dirt and rust mixed in with the paint job. So removal was not the usual scraping, but scraping, sanding, and buffing to get it prepped for the sealant. It was done professionaly making sure not to do any damage to the windows and window frames as well as to be sure that the sealant was applied below the brick facade and only on the lintel area. An outstanding job done in less than 2 hours from start to finish! I couldn't ask for a better quality, professional service as well as customer service. Thank you again. I'll certainly hire you for my next task.

Two painters worked all day with only a 1/2 hour break for lunch. They worked in different areas with both doing both patching and repainting. They offered excellent suggestions for which color to use in the transition area from front hallway to kitchen. Extraordinarily fine job blending the repaired areas with the rest of the walls. I could not tell where the nail pops and cracks had been. Hired Hands on Painters as their website showed that the management of this company has a sensitivity to more than just painting a wall. Backgrounds in art, design, etc. And they have a specialty in preparing properties for rent or resale, which is my situation. High quality work with close attention to covering every single piece of furniture or floor area. Owner came out to estimate the job, mainly provided by sections of work fixed dollar amount plus a man hour rate for the prep work in the bedroom.

I had spent considerable time evaluating paint chips in order to choose the right shades of colors for this paint job. They came in and just chose their own shades of those colors, e.g., white or red. The colors do not look good in the room. I was upset. They made it up to me by painting some more walls and a bannister. I'm sure it took them a lot of extra staff time, so I do appreciate that effort. But meanwhile it still is the wrong colors for this room- makes the place look dark. I wasnt going to write a review since they did try to fix it, but I realized that a year later I'm still very irritated because we have to live with these paint colors every day.

Contractor worked with me to schedule work from 2014 coupon due to cold weather last winter. Very professional, courteous and timely responses via email. Great follow up and follow thru!

The week long project was superb. My wife and I prepped the rooms by putting furniture in the middle of the room and made sure that all furniture had sliders to make them easier to move. Ceiling, walls and trim in all rooms. Monday the team of three, led by Elmer, arrived at 0930 and started on the first level entry way, Living Room and Dining Room by placing tarps on all the floors and plastic on the furniture to protect during the project. By 0945, they were prepping the walls and ceilings. The team took a brief lunch break at 1230, and by 4pm started tidying up. They removed the floor tarps, damp wiped the floors and cleaned up any materials so that we could access the kitchen/family room and upstairs. At the end of Day 1 two coats had been applied to the ceilings, walls and most of the trim in the Entry Hall, Living Room and Dining room. Elmer let us know what was planned for the next day so we could plan accordingly. Day two, the team arrived 0830 and by 0845 tarps and plastic were in place in the Kitchen and Family Room. 1230 lunch break and by 330, the kitchen and family room were completed and the remaining trim was completed in the dining room. All switch and outlet plates were reinstalled in the living room and dining room, all tarps/plastic removed from the living room and dining room. The area was tidied so that we could use our kitchen for our meal that evening. All that remained on the first level were the 1/2 bath and hall closet. Elmer met with us at the end of the day and let us know the plan for the next day. Day three the team tackled the stairway, upper hallway, linen closet, and first floor hall closet and 1/2 bath. Tarps/plastic covered floors, rugs, handrails and by the end of the day our hallway was completed with the exception of 2nd coat of trim along the stairway and part of the 2nd floor hall. Day 4, the team tackled the master bedroom, master bath, hall bath. tarps and plastic to protect floors/furniture, they removed wallpaper from one wall in the MBR, and managed to get the MBR walls painted with one coat, ceilings done, Master bath and Hall bath nearly done. We slept in the guest room this evening so the team would not have to remove the plastic from the MBR furniture. Day 5 the team completed the walls in the MBR, trim in bedrooms 2 and 3, trim in the bathrooms and painted two corner cabinets in the dining room. Excellent results. Minimal disruption to our daily routine - and the team was truly excellent to work with. They work without distraction.

Derrick owns the business and does the estimates. Extremely professional and timely with the estimate. He went above and beyond by scheduling our job a week after the estimate, due to us listing the house for sale in two weeks. We really appreciated his flexibility. Hard working, professional crew protected all furniture and fixtures in the rooms to avoid dust from drywall repair work before painting. Ladders in two story Family Room were protected to avoid damaging existing painted walls. Clean-up left our house with minor dusting and no damage from their equipment.. Honest and complete detailed quote, workers showed up on time. listened to instructions and followed through exactly as requested. Great workmanship, no paint splatter, and they cleaned up the house well. The workers were courteous and professional. I am very pleased with the outcome.

Communication was great, and they came out quickly for a free estimate. Work ended up taking twice as long, but I give a bit of a pass because the wall underneath was in bad shape. The employee did seem a little overworked, however. He worked from 9-6 without a break. Overall, a good experience.

It went nicely. Scheduling was very easy and was done through email. The estimate was great and they did what they were supposed to do. He accomplished all work of plaster repair in the 2-hr time frame, working efficiently throughout numerous rooms, i.e., bedroom ceiling, shower ceiling reaching outward to the window , hallway corner resurfacing, living room ceiling, filling deep holes from drapery rods by picture window, kitchen ceiling cracking towards center light and repair of small area of the basement family room wall that got damaged. He did not make any mess at all, was serious and professional. All of the work was completed and it was a good value for the money.
