Description of Work: JT performed an energy audit, which was very interesting and complete! We decided our primary concern was providing insulation to our Viking in our sunroom. They came on October 21 and were very professional. JT came first to ready the room for insulation. He removed the ceiling and got the room ready. His team showed up around noon and put in insulation. He even had them smooth it out for a better look!

Description of Work: I was recommended Greenworks by another large company in the area. J.T. my auditor/salesman had a program that he added a ton of variables in, including my furnace and a/c, water heater, lights and fixtures, current insulation, windows, doors, wall thickness, and air leakage which was done by a blower test. The entire inspection took about half a day. After the audit he suggested that I start my energy savings by adding insulation and air sealing to my attic. When it was done he conservatively said my monthly savings would be $20/month but he suspected more he just didn't want to give me a estimate on savings and not meet all my expectations, I was a little reluctant to believe that number. But he also insured me that my house would be more comfortable also since it was typically VERY drafty. Anyway, after moving forward with the project JT stayed the entire day the work was being done, making sure that all of my (and his) expectations were met. THEY WERE!!! Drop cloths vacuums the whole 9. I was actually concerned that an insulation job would be quite a mess. Not at all! I literally couldn't tell they had been there except for the less drafty house and a $60/month reduction in energy bills. I am writing this review a full year later so I could give a years average on savings. An thats it $708 a year! Also, BGE worked with green works and after the audit they reimbursed me half of my money for the upgrade to my home. So after the rebate my encounter with Greenworks will pay for itself in less then 2 years. I also inquired at the time doing other repairs to my home and after using his program JT didn't hesitate to tell me that it probably wouldn't be worth my investment and he definitely steered me in the right direction. The guy could have attempted to rope me for money but was honest with me which went a long way. In closing I am a very particular guy and truly never walk away from a transaction 100% happy but I am with Greenworks and JT.

+ 0 moreWe had an energy audit performed a year and a half ago, but we weren't able to do the insulation work at that point. We had to re-do the energy audit in order to qualify for the BGE rebate program. So we went with Greenworks for the new audit. I'm very happy with their professional work and thoroughness. JT came out, did a full energy audit, walked me through everything, and showed me through infrared imaging the biggest air leak areas. Once the insulation work is done they will come back out and retest, the submit everything for me to BGE to get up to $2000 of the cost back in rebates. What a burden off of my back! I would highly recommend them. Their staff are knowledgable, thorough and honest.

+ 0 moreJames L. was my contact. All contacts were very professional, prompt, and positive. James arrived exactly when he said he would. He called ahead each time. He told me exactly what he was going to do and he did exactly what he said he would do. He did NOT try to up-sell me, even pointing out that my home was not appropriately situated for solar panels. He worked quickly and quietly and was careful not to disrupt my life or home. He left no mess. He also worked with Devere Insulation, who did the actual work, and with BGE without my even asking. I did not need to baby-sit the communications among the companies. Between Greenworks and Devere, they took care of it all for me. It was a positive experience and I recommend them highly.

+ -1 moreJames was very profession, thorough and friendly. It took about 2 hours to complete the audit of my townhome. He explained everything clearly and really helped me identify issues in my home. I appreciated the fact that for $100 the use of an infrared camera was included in the price. Other vendors charged extra for this feature. Given the professionalism of James, I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a comprehensive home energy audit.
