We use them on a regular basis. I've known the company for 25 years. Their pricing, promptness, and quality of work keeps us as costumers.

Can't say enough good things about Fitz Mechanical and Chris. I smelled gas near my dryer, and BGE came out and confirmed a leaky line. They shut off the gas, so I called Fitz. The woman on the phone was super friendly and sent Chris to my house right away. He happened to be nearby finishing a job. He replaced the bad flex line and the old shut-off valve, which BGE recommended. He also secured the dryer vent pipe, which kept randomly falling off despite my efforts to secure it over the years. I've hired Fitz in the past, many years ago, and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

I have used Fitz for years for our HVAC needs, and I have always felt well treated and satisfied. Fitz is knowledgeable, fairly priced and responsive.

We have always had good customer service with Fitz. When I called, they were honest about when they could make the appointment. The gentleman arrived on time and provided the repairs. He had to go out for parts and return.

We love Chris, Fitz's plumber. We have been using Fitz for about five years. Many hours of work invested in this project but we are happy with new fittings. Price included all hardware and we had him put in two new toilets seats as well.

Not at all a rip off like every other plumber I've used. Fair price for good work. Can't ask for anything better!

From the time I called the office to the date of repair, I experienced nothing but professionalism. The Plumbing Technician, Chris, was experienced, professional and worked diligently to complete the service for a very fair price. This is the second time that I used Fitz for services. The last time was to replace a defective Water Heater. I strongly recommend their services and will use them again.

Everyone else I called wanted to replace the entire water heater and this was the first company that would come and just replace the part. They did a really good job. They cleaned up after themselves. The woman who scheduled the appointments was really, really nice and sympathetic. They also called when they were on their way instead of not calling at all or calling when they were at the door.

They provided an estimate that was highly competitive, scheduled their work promptly, and arrived on-time and fully prepared to finish the job within one day. All the staff in our home was professional, friendly and courteous. After multiple experiences with Fitz, I remain a huge fan.

Replaced entire A/C and Furnace unit with Fitz. Brand new Carrier A/C unit. 3 summers later (2011), no cool air. Could not find original receipt so called a competitor to come look at it. The competitor tells me there could be a leak and charge the freon, this runs me $300. They also say they can do a 24-hour test (neon test??) to find the leak. This year, no cool air. I have since found the receipt and call Fitz. They come out for 2-hours, tell me there could be a leak but we could not find it, pay us $120 for the visit. If I decide to do any further work with them the $120 will come off my future service bill. I am told it could also be the and quot;Aand quot; coil, and they will call Carrier to look into. I get the call today from Fitz and told the and quot;A coiland quot; is covered under warranty but the labor is not, it will be $700 to fix coil and re-charge freon.I say, and quot;So if I pay the $700 and the and quot;A, and there is still a leak, where does that leave me?and quot; They say and quot;let us get back to youand quot;.What am I missing here?? STAND BY YOUR WORK FITZ, FIND THE PROBLEM AND FIX THE PROBLEM!

Arrived on time. Started in the kitchen, decided to put on new faucet and spray hose. He went to pick up, called to make sure of design I liked. Came back in a timely manner. Looked good. Replaced Bathroom Faucet I had bought. Checked toilet, water was not filling in bowl. Adjusted something in tank and all was well. Checked basement dripping faucet and fixed. Everything was finished and looked and worked well. Plumber answered my questions and took care of all that I asked about. All trash was removed. Plumber was very pleasant.

I arrived home to a message from Mr. Fitz saying he does not come out and quot;that far.and quot; He referred me to another company. It seems strange that the receptionist would make an appointment knowing the address. According to mapquest the distance would be 10 -14 miles. Another company that is 15.47 miles away has already come out to give me an estimate. I'm at a loss to know why they do not want to offer a proposal except that the receptionist did not correctly take down the address. It would have been considerate of the company to inform me of their travel limits when the appointment was made.

The installation was performed in a single day, and they took our old furnace and AC unit away. The next day they responded quickly to what we thought was a problem, but ended up not being one. Overall, we are very satisfied with their service and price.

Fitz Mechanical Inc. had a great price and provided very good quality. I would definitely use them in the future.

One of few area contractors to actually answer phone, or return phone call. This was a plus. Received an estimate over the phone that fell within the range of what I wanted to pay. Had an opening on the second business day after the phone call. Called about an hour before arriving, which I requested that they do. Arrived, understood what I wanted done, did work very quickly. I believe the work to be very good, they added a shut off valve that was much more convenient than the old one, which I appreciated. I would use them again and I would recommend them to friends and family.

The plumber came at time specified and corrected the problem. Was professional and polite. I thought the price was on the mark. I would call again.

Fitz Mechanical has been inconsistent, in my experience. The owner, and some of the employees, are competent and professional. But on two occasions, they sent out workers that seemed lacking in basic knowledge. The last time I contacted them, the person they sent out misdiagnosed an HVAC problem and recommended very expensive repairs (actually, replacement). I got a second opinion from a different company and the problem was solved quickly and inexpensively.

I called to have them remove an old concrete utility sink and install a new utility sink with new plumbing and remove the lead pipe from the old sink. They responded within the hour, gave me an estimate and completed the work promptly. They were so efficient that I asked them to help me fix a toilet that a previous contractor had broken and refused to fix. They cleaned up better than they found the area. Very pleased first rate company.

They gave me a really good price, but they weren't able to do the job in the 2 days they originally told me. I ended up having to take almost a week off of work to be there. They didn't clean up very well, but after I insisted they clean it up. They were very nice and the price was good.

They were thorough, professional and punctual. When we experienced a problem after the job was completed, they came back immediately.

Fitz responded promptly to our request for an estimate. However, on-site they quickly ruled out a conversion to gas which other contractors took more time to price out for us, in order to compare options. Fitz recommended staying with an oil boiler, but left us with a brochure on a gas boiler. They would not do an estimate on the spot and mailed one to us several days later. They had proposed an oil boiler from a manufacturer we have never heard of, and their overall price was $1,000 higher than our next-highest-priced estimate. We called Fitz to ask them to provide the correct brochure for the boiler they proposed, and also asked them to revisit pricing and consider a different manufacturer if it could lower the cost. The sales rep. was abrupt on the phone and we did not get a chance to ask additional questions about the sizing of the boiler and why the chose it. We have a very old house with unique characteristics and need attention to detail on these types of projects. We have yet to hear back from them regarding the requested revisions to the proposal, and it's been over a week. Our old boiler will require asbestos abatement before it can be removed, and the whole project, even using budget options, is still a $6,000 job. We get the impression, however, that this is small potatoes for Fitz and that they are not interested in our business. Based on their sales practices, I do not have confidence that they would provide good service after the sale.

FITZ MECHANICAL CAME OUT AND WHEN THEY DID,THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY COULD, WEREN'T LATE. IT TOOK THEM ABOUT 2 HOURS TO COMPLETE THE JOB THEY DID. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND WERE VERY FRIEND AND PROFESSIONAL.

They found that the marble in our bathroom needed to be re-sealed so they recommended a company to us to re-seal it. The seemed to really know what they were doing.

They were very easy to work with and they exercise very good manners on the phone. They came to my home right when they were supposed to and the work was good. The plumber was polite and professional.

The drain became clogged four days before Christmas when we were expecting overnight guests. After unsuccessful attempts to clear it using drain cleaner, we selected this company from Angie's List and phoned for an appointment. Even though the plumbers were heavily booked that day, they squeezed us in and arrived even sooner than expected (during their lunch hour) to do the job.
