It's a place I've been going to for 30 years. They know me on a first name basis.
Description of Work: It was just annual check up and stuff like that.

The actual procedure was fine, and the cat has recovered nicely from her surgery. We used Falls Road because they were the cheapest around for this procedure, and we had several other animal medical issues in our family at the time that our new young cat needed this done. There isn't much of a warm and fuzzy feeling here, despite what the tv ads might wish to convey. They seem to do a big business with spay and neutering, and the front desk techs sort of run on auto pilot. (I've taken two cats here now for spay and neuter and I've never had any contact with an actual Vet.) The tech started to check me out with another customer's account information because I have a similar last name. The total she gave me was $100 to much and then she asked me for my full name, which is how we realized the error. The medical treatment seemed very good, and the price is very reasonable. It just doesn't seem like a place where you will get much personalized care or get much time to talk with an actual doctor.
Description of Work: Spayed a young cat, including overnight stay in the hospital

I like the fact that they are open 24/7 but I think their costs are ridiculous. I would go back only in an emergency situation.
Description of Work: My dog was sick. They examined him and said he needed further testing and I should leave him there. As I was leaving they called me back and told me he had died. I was there for approximately 2hrs.

When I arrived at the vet, it was very crowded. We had to wait for awhile before they brought us back. I met with the vet, who seemed relatively rushed, but I figured that that was because it was so crowded at the vet's office. He was nice enough. When I was leaving, I scheduled my dog's spay visit. They told me again when I scheduled it that they accept the Friends of Animals spay certificate, so I went home and ordered it and paid for it. The $250 cost of the initial visit was higher than I was anticipating. Before her spay date arrived, my dog went into heat. I called and asked for advice, and they were not very helpful in assisting me, a first time dog owner, in the appropriate steps to take. They said that if we wanted to spay her still we could, but it would cost more (I have since learned that many vets will not spay a dog while she is in heat; it is a much riskier procedure with a higher incidence of complications). We chose to reschedule for after her heat cycle completed. A few days ago they called me to confirm my dog's spay appointment. I reminded them again that I was bringing in the Friends of Animals certificate and asked if there was anything else I needed to do to have them honor that. They said no. Fast forward to this morning, when my husband took the dog in on his way to work (she had to be dropped off between 6 and 8 in the morning). When he arrived, they said that they do not, in fact, accept the Friends of Animals certificate, and would not honor the fact that multiple people had told me that they do, and would not work with us in any way considering that we already paid to get the certificate. So, I would not recommend Falls Road Animal Hospital to anyone, as they are unprofessional in the way they handle their customers, and do not honor the statements that the people who work there make. I am very disappointed in my experience with them.
Description of Work: I took my newly rescued dog to Falls Road Animal Hospital because they told me they accepted the Friends of Animals spay/neuter certificate, for which the rescue organization was going to reimburse me. I took my dog there for her initial shots and checkup, and scheduled her spay for a few weeks later.

They are the best and their service is excellent. When I walk through the door, they treat me like a family member. They break down what type of medication they are actually giving my dog. They give me alternatives. They have dogs and they can tell me what to do when my dog gets a stomachache. It is a very nice and friendly atmosphere. Their prices are really good and they are open 24 hours, so I can call them and they will answer my questions. I will continue to them. That is my vet for life.
Description of Work: Falls Road Animal Hospital is the vet that I use. My dog got stung by 3 bees and the rest of the vaccinations.

He talks to you pet and lets them walk around. The dog I had taken there passed away 9 years ago. The only thing I don't like is they are very expensive. You just need to go and try them out.

THIS IS A PRETTY GREAT HOSPITAL. I LOVE HOW THE FACILITY IS OPEN ON SUNDAYS. ALTHOUGH, YOU DO HAVE TO WAIT AWHILE TO SEE THE DOCTOR. HE IS JUST WONDERFUL. YOU CAN SEE HOW MUCH HE CARES ABOUT HIS JOB.
