The prices are fairly comparable to big box stores. If you go in and get advice from them you will buy something, though it's not required. Anything you could ask me about this place would be an "A".

The best family-owned and operated store in Baltimore! It's a tightly packed, floor to ceiling, old-time hardware store with bins of hard-to-find stuff in Hampden, hon. If you own an old house, you will want to visit this place. Even if you have no idea what it is you need, just describe it and one of the well-versed staffers will find exactly the right thing for you. The prices are extremely reasonable and the store cat, whose name is Cop Car, is usually lounging about somewhere. Forget the big box stores and visit this gem both for its merchandise and its home grown personality.

Falkenhan's is a great small family owned company! The store's layout is awesome, making it easy to find whatever you need. The customer service is A plus, if you need advice or help they know all about hardware and exactly what you will need.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I avoid HD and other "big boxes" whenever possible and skip on over to this little, basement level, jewel that is just chock-a-block with stuff. The staff are fabulous and have even helped me consider just the right size tubing to use in making a fairy costume. Can't get that kinda help at Lowe's!
