DECK CREATIONS

Mike can be hard to get a hold of, particularly during the busy season or if he has a lot of deck remodeling. All the same, I stick with it every year to get him scheduled to do an annual deck maintenance on our two-story rooftop deck and an additional balcony. He's great - very professional, takes care to keep our deck looking nice, replacing boards, at a very reasonable price, and with pride in his work. I've been a repeat customer for four years in a row.

They were good. They were on time and they did it for the right price. They delivered what they said they were going to do.

The job was started as scheduled and completed in a satisfactory manner.

The owner seems very knowledgeable. The price seemed very reasonable. He is a bit unreliable in terms of punctuality. He says he is coming one day, but it may or may not happen that day. You get good work done at a reasonable price if you are willing to live with that.

I had fire damage to the old deck. Rob came-out and provided an estimate for my insurance provider. He was quick to respond and to provide the estimate. He did incredible work, was extremely educated about the deck process, and was professional in all regards. I am extremely happy with the work that he did and will be using him for future projects. He went above and beyond, and I would highly recommend him.

I requested a quote from their web site for some work to be done on my deck (new deck staircase, etc.). Rob O'Neill called me the next day and agreed to come out to my house the following Monday in order to prepare the quote. We agreed on 1pm; however, I indicated that I would be available from 1 until 3pm (having taken the afternoon off work). On that Monday, Rob was a no-show. I left him a message on his cell phone but received no response. I would not recommend this company.

He was very professional, came a few minutes early, and did an excellent job. He recommended that we don't stain the wood (it was new and nice looking) because there are more problems when that's done. He did a very nice job, was kind, and patient.

Had such a great experience with Rob when he powerwashed my house that I offered him this small fence job. We agreed on a price, and he said he'd call me the following week. He didn't call, so I called him back and after a few messages, I finally reached him. He said he could finish the job in one day, and I said I'd like to be there, so we scheduled for 1pm Wednesday. He shows up at 3pm (late from a different job, but no call) and says he'll only put the new posts in and he'll be back Friday at 1pm to finish (again late from a different job but no call). I take more time off work. He puts the new fence up. We agreed that he could reuse whatever he could from the old fence. I'm thinking he'll use some of the fence slats that are still in reasonable shape. He sees this a cutting sections to fit the new post. When he's done, he tells me that I should consider replacing a lot of these slats. It looks OK, but obviously a miscommunication (I'll take responsibility for that - it's not in his grades). Now installed, he says to leave it alone with the gate locked (letting the concrete dry) until the following AM. I give it a full 24 hours. Lock's a little tight when opening, but it seems fine. By the next morning, the gate is rubbing against the posts. I call, leaving messages and trying to get through for a week. I finally reach him, and he says he'll be out the following week to fix the problem. He comes out on Wednesday (I'm not there - having already taken two half-days off for what was to be a half-day project). He does some work, but by the evening when I get home, the gate is still rubbing and the lock doesn't line up, so the gate can't be secured. I call, actually getting through. He says he'll come out again to look at it. It's a week later now, and with no luck in my further attempts to reach him, and no appearance to fix the gate. I'm planning to use the space around the fence for plants, so they need to get into the ground. I'll do the work myself this weekend, but this is certainly not the quality I was anticipating. I'd consider hiring him (if I can get through easily) to powerwash my house again, but I would not for any sort of deck or fence projects.

Rob was able to do the estimate when I wasn't at home. It was the least expensive, but since he was highly rated here I went with his company anyway. I wasn't disappointed--his employee came when promised, the deck looks great and water is beading well. After it was sealed, I noticed that some sealant had gotten on my siding and some low windows above the deck. I called Rob and he came out the next day, in the pouring rain, to clean it up. He apologized for it, and didn't ask for payment until he was sure I was satisfied.

We are pleased with the work and have requested an estimate to power wash the whole house. Mr Mcneil is a true professional and an honest man. Would not hesitate to recommend him at all. Our total cost included replacing the mailbox post and the cost of materials for that.

Called on Monday, and Rob called right back. He asked some details about the house and gave me a price. I called back and he was able to schedule me on Wednesday. Rob and Hayden came out and cleaned the house, deck, porch and even the brick edging on my garden beds - all for the same price. They were prompt, courteous, thorough and did a very good job.

I called Deck Creations at 6PM Tuesday. I told Robert I wanted to meet someday at 8 AM before I left for work. He said why not tomorrow. We met, he looked at the job, quoted me $400 which I thought was fair. I said when can you do it. He said right now. WOW. I left for work and he went to work. Came home and it was beautiful. Deck had color again. Really bad big black stain on my porch from an overgrown bush (didn't think it would come out) was gone. He came back Thursday to seal the deck. Came back Saturday to get paid. After getting paid he said there were a couple of spots he wanted to get cleaner on my house and proceeded to do more work. This is after I paid him. Robert is an honorable guy who takes pride in his work and is worthy of your consideration.

I worked with a person by name Robert O'Neill. The price he charged for pressure washing was great. He cleaned the back of the house, the side walks and then he pressure washed. He did more than what he was supposed to do. I asked him to take few things from the basement and the back yard because he had a truck and he said he would take. He came on the next day and took them in his truck.

Contacted Rob O'Neill for an estimate, he arrived on Friday a little late, took a look at the deck. Owner explained that there was paint on the deck, he said he could do the job, quoted price of $250.00. Rob returned on Tuesday, 2 1/2 hours later stating he double scheduled this appointment. Rob & his assistant power wash deck for a couple of hours (3), then left my house. Owner called Rob an hour later, he said needed to purchase a paint stripper and would return. He also said he forgot to bring his ladder so he could not clean the outside portion of the deck. Rob never called or returned. Owner called Rob the next day to see when he would return and he stated, " There is paint on the deck, need to purchase paint stripper, he shouldn't take long. Just spray it on, wait an hour & spray off the paint. I'll come on Friday to finish the job. Owner cleaned & vacuumed all paint chips from deck, lower patio and backyard. Owner left an email message with Rebecca O'Neil of Deck Creation to remind Rob about his Friday appointment. Did not receive a return email from Rebecca. Owner called Rob on Friday to see if he was coming and he said, " I need to buy the paint stripper. Owner asked Rob to be honest if he could do the job and Rob said, you are better off just painting your deck. Owner said, thank you and ended conversation. Currently getting another company from Angie's List to complete the job.

I called and left him a message early in the morning and he called me right back. His punctuality wasn't great, but everything else about him was better than perfect. He cleaned up anything tracked inside and did a wonderful and professional job for an extremely reasonable price. We had the same thing done the year before with a different contractor, who did a worse job for over twice the price! Every time I see the water beading up on our beautiful deck after a rain, I'm reminded of how happy I am we tried a different contractor this time.

Rob also offered some advice about maintenance in the future. He was excellent, and I would definitely recommend him and will use him again.

I was initially skeptical because Robert's estimate was about 3-4x less than the other power wash and stain people I had come by. Everything went smoothly. He came by on the day he agreed to and completed early. He went ahead and replaced some boards on the deck and also power washed my home (all siding). All this was on a 2 day stretch where the mercury was over 90 during the daytime. The only downside is he isn't very responsive on his phone, so you may need to keep calling to get a hold of him to have him come by or to have the work actually scheduled. Once he does that though, he'll follow through. I can't say enough positive things about Robert - there's a lot of jokers out there in the stain and power wash business, but he has great ethics I would recommend him to anyone.

They are very professional when they where doing the work. They arrived on-time to do the work for me. They had done a good job at cleaning up when they where done working.

Rob did a great job in power washing and sealing my deck. For a minimal price, he also built some steps for me from a side door from the house. Rob did the work almost as soon as I had initially requested it. One can tell right away that Rob is competent, honest, and professional. I will use him again and will recommend his services to others. I am not related to Rob, nor do I have any other monetary or other incentive for giving his company an outstanding performance rating.

The deck & fence look great! I contacted the owner in mid-August. he was going to give me an estimate at that time, but I didn't hear back from him. I tried again in mid-Sept, I got an estimate that same day and the work was performed days later. Staff was professional. I got other estimates (from non-Angie's list places) and this price was the best and he was on Angie's List.

Excellent. Mr. O'Neil was very responsive and professional to my request for an estimate and gave me several estimates based on different types of stains. Once I asked him to perform the work, he came to my house and performed the job in two days, as he originally promised.

The deck is the nicest work completed of my home improvements. Rob designed and built the deck from his vision and my specifications. He does a nice job, uses quality wood, and takes pride in his work. Once you have his deck, he continues to service it; as today, he replaced some wood rails that had warped and tightened up nails/screws that had pulled from the elements. It is a pleasure to do business with Rob O'Neill. I love my deck!
