My washing machine was not draining. I called the first local number I saw when I googled "Appliance repair". HUGE MISTAKE! This guy name Darnell answered and said he would fix it for $100-150 depending on the problem. I was told that it is a common problem with Frigidaire washing machines and that he could fix it quickly. First time out I was not home so my mother met him for me. She reported to me that he thought he had fixed it but that she felt he seemed to not know what he was doing and that I should test the machine. I came home and ran a load to find that the problem was still there. Next day I called him and after several phone calls over several days he finally called back. Darnell said a pump needed to be replaced. He was at my home or running to get parts for seven hours before I finally told him to leave. At one point he left and told me I could run a load while he was gone to check the drainage. The thing overflowed and since it was an 1.5 hours before his return I now have $1500 in floor damage. In addition, I had to have another repairman out to check the washer which cost me another $125. The Drier also suffered damage when he took it down from on top of the washer to level the machine. The washer had thus far cost me $50 in parts and I am praying that my husband and me will be able to fix it ourselves. Nightmare!
