Everything went well with no problems. We were given very complete instructions on how to use the system, and so far it works just as hoped. The price was less than some other providers. We chose a number of options, including contacts on 6 windows and 4 doors, a panic button, and two wired-in smoke detectors.

Crimpco provided basic alarm monitoring service for my home for more than 6 years. Never had an issue, never had a break in. They never had a problem cashing my $69 check every three months either. When I got rid of my landline phone, I switched to another alarm company (Simplisafe) as Crimpco's hardware required a land line for monitoring. That's when things went South. Rather than simply close out my account with a thank you for the many years of patronage, I was told I had to continue paying for service until July 2016! According to them, this was because I should have canceled in June and now I have a comitment to continue paying for a year's worth of monitoring whether I need it or not. They wouldn't budge, even after I pointed out their costs were no different than if I had canceled earlier and they in fact had benefited from a few month's more business than if I had canceled earlier. Their only reply was this is standard practice for their line of business. I am now a happy Simplisafe customer and contrary to Crimpco's assertion, I have no contract with them and can cancel whenever I like. On top of that, I need no landline (it is cellular) and their monitoring fee is only $15 per month. If you want to do business with someone who will hold you over a barrel after 6+ years of patronage just because they can, go with Crimpco. If not, go with someone else. p.s. - Crimpco did offer to install new hardware if I would commit to an even higher monitoring fee. Considering their treatment, that was an offer I was happy to refuse.

Crimpco did our upgrade very quickly. They changed out our 2 alarm panels and changed some sensors. The installer was friendly and easy to talk to. Im gonna try to keep this short by saying they did a good job.

Crimpco was recommended by seller when we purchased our home as an "easy" solution since they had already been working with the company and everything was already set up. Instead, it turned out to be expensive, frustrating, and generally an example of how not to run a business. Challenges: 1) When first setting up the system, they had to send 3 people on 3 different occasions to set it up - meaning we had to take time off work on 3 occasions. As we weren't going to have a landline, we were told it would "only" be $300 to convert the existing system so it could be used with a wireless signal. After signing a 3 year agreement and paying the $300, suddenly it cost over $1000, because all of the equipment now apparently needed to be updated as well. I suspect this was more an issue of miscommunication vs. malice - see below - but the company would not stand by the initial agreement that $300 was all that was needed to upgrade the system, or cancel the contract. We had just moved, were starting new jobs, and I had spent enough time and energy fighting with this company, so I just gave up and paid the fees and ran out the contract. 2) Throughout the duration of the contract, they were impossible to get a hold of when needed. We had some construction and needed the main box moved - it took me 2 weeks just to get a call back and delayed our construction because the box was still in place. When I finally did speak to them, they were rude. This is just one example of the consistent disorganization, poor communication, and general lack of customer service. 3) When I finally decided to cancel the service and change providers, I wasn't able to get a call back or a confirmation that our service was terminated for several days. When I finally did get that confirmation, I was told that the 3 month payment (of which I was only 3 weeks into) would not be refunded at a prorated rate, as my contract apparently automatically renewed on a yearly basis even after it expired. Of course, we never received any notice of this and should have remembered contractual sub-clauses 3 years later. Nice touch. Crimpco - you are officially one of the worst companies I've ever had the misfortune to work with. The extra two months fee is worth it to have you out of our lives forever.

I had Crimpco install cabling and an alarm system in my home. The work was rather extensive as the home is fairly large. I had no choice in the matter since my home builder used Crimpco. The alarm was ok at first. I used many motion detectors. Later on, I kept getting false alarms. I have no pets and no kids at the time. I had Crimpco come out to and quot;adjustand quot; the sensors but they still kept failing. They offered to replace them, but I didn't want to shell out the money only to have them fail again. So, my alarm is partially working. I have to and quot;bypassand quot; certain zones before arming it. Before that, I had the state police called to my home so many times that I stopped arming it when I'd leave the house. Ok, now for the really bad. I had Crimpco run 2 RG-6 Coaxial cables and 2 Ethernet cables to every bedroom (5) and most rooms throughout the house. They all ran to the same central location. I have DirecTV and was getting problems on all of my receivers. I had to perform lots of troubleshooting. I found that, every single coaxial connection was bad. On most of them, I could pull the connector right off. Sigh, lucky for me, I have the equipment and know how to fix this. I had to re-do every single coax connection. I used a compression connection on every cable. I was NOT happy since I paid them to do this and I had to spend lots of time to fix their mistakes. I believe that part of their problem was that the cable was RG-6 Quad shield and they did not use quad shield connectors. So the connectors didn't really fit. I had problems with the ethernet cables as well. I and quot;onlyand quot; had to fix some of them. Unlike the coax, they weren't all bad. But I had a simple ethernet cable tester to find the bad cables. So they never tested them.

It was great service, I didnt know that i had a leak from up stairs and it was hitting the alarm box. They were able to pinpoint the issue. They were very affordable.

I had gotten several estimates from other security companies, but Crimpco was the best. Not only did they hard wire the alarm in my house, they did so very professionally. The installation was great! They really know what they're doing. I've had several false alarms at my house - set the motion detectors when I dogs were running around the house. They call within 5 minutes each time and I tell them what happened and give them my code and the call the police and tell them not to come. I've also had them come out a few times for service calls and they told me everything was fine and I didn't need any repairs. I'm very happy with their service and will continue to use them.

I was initially looking for a company to provide alarm monitoring service for a house we were buying that had and existing Sloman system. Sloman wanted around $34 a month, with a 2 year contract, even though we already had their system. I spoke to a number of other companies offering "free" systems providing that we signed up for a long term monitoring contract (some as long as 5 years) that ranged from $35 to $37 a month, depending on the system. I called Crimpco and was quoted $22 a month, since I already had a system. They responded quickly to the call (always a good sign for an alarm company), did a full survey and system check, explained all the available options, and ultimately upgraded the existing panel. The service tech fully explained how to operate the new panel and everything works as expected. The significant monthly monitoring savings are certainly a plus and amount to a savings of about $140 to $160 per year. Had I wanted a complete new system, while it would not have been "free", Cripmco's prices certainly seemed reasonable and the lower monthly monitoring savings would have paid for it in a reasonably short period of time. Overall, the bottom line is that there is no such thing as a free system since you can't get one without a non-concealable long term monitoring contract and the longer you keep the system the more you end up paying. If you are looking for a new system or just monthly monitoring, I would recommend that you give Crimpco a call for a quote.

They were the ones who installed the alarm system in our home with the previous owners, so we decided to go with them. They come out whenever I ask them to, they are punctual and do good work. They have highly technical professionals.

Since using this company we have never had a problem. Their customer service department is very nice and the system is easy to use. We highly recommend this company to anyone locally and will continue to use them.

Crimco provides excellent monitoring and repair service for their systems. Have had to call a couple of times during 2006 to cancel a false alarm and their response was excellent.

THEY HAVE GOOD SERVICE I HAVE HAD A FEW FALSE ALARMS AND THEY RESPONDED IN GOOD TIME AND WERE VERY HELPFUL. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ON WIRING AND HIDING OF HARDWARE.

THE MONITORING SERVICE IS CONSISTENT. THE ADDITION INSTALLATION OF REMOTE KEYPADS TOOL SEVERAL ATTEMPS AND CAUSE A TEMPORARY ALARM OUTAGE. THE COMPANY CAME OUT AND FIXED THE OUTAGE WITHIN DAYS OF THE OUTAGE BEING NOTICED.

WHEN ORIGINAL ALARM SYSTEM'S BACK UP BATTERY NEEDED REPLACING, THE COMPANY NOT COME SAYING I LIVED TOO FAR AWAY. I CALLED CRIMPCO AND THEY REPLACED SYSTEM AND NOW ARE THE MONITORING COMPANY. OVERALL I HAVE HAD ONLY ONE PROBLEM WITH THIS MONITORING AND AM GENERALLY PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY.
