On multiple occasions Tom (dba Comfort Solutions) serviced our aging Rheem heat pump without issue, although the system was running well so the service visits consisted of cleaning and level checks. On the next to last visit he made in December of 2012 after we were left without heat, he charged us $500 for a new outdoor fan motor and refrigerant recharge. A week later we were out heat again, Tom came out and said it was the compressor this time and suggested we get a new system or he could replace the compressor for about $1,500. We would be then into the failing system for 2 grand so I asked him if he could credit the $500 and get back to me promptly with a competitive quote on a mid-level name-brand system that was not Rheem. After two weeks of no contact, I began to seek other quotes. When I was finally contacted by a woman at the company, she offered me a quote on a no-name entry level system and I told her that this was not what we discussed. She said she would get back to us and never did. I was tired of paying through the roof for aux heat and went with another company. I am now attempting to sue Comfort Solutions in small claims court, but Tom will not answer summons. Avoid this company as they are a small mom and pop operation with no emergency service, poor customer service and unethical business practices.

There were terrible. I would not use them again in the future.
