It was greaat, they gave me advice and a quote for gutters next to the chimney. They did the work and it turned out great and I will use them again to clean my fire place and chimney for next season.

Cullen the manager was great on the phone and helped me out and got a employee over to my house the next day to do the inspection. The inspection was done and a full write up was done and then next day I had a quote for the repairs. Prices are good and the service was really great. I am def. going to use them again. Thanks

We have used Clean Sweep three times now. They have cleaned and inspected the chimney in our current house, and we had them out to inspect the chimney in the house we are planning to buy. They showed up when they said they would, and were very courteous and polite. They kept the area clean when they swept the chimney. For the inspection, they gave us a full run down of what to repair. We will use them again.

We were extremely pleased. They first gave us a price to remove an existing gas fireplace unit and evaluate our ability to break through to the next room. That meant we could stop before significant costs were incurred. We then received an estimate for the work to breakthrough the back wall of the fireplace and complete the installallation of a larger firebox, as well as the necessary finishing work on the other side. The work was done on schedule and on budget. We provided the new mantle, and the stonework for the surround and hearth was done by a third party. Painting of the firebox and final attachment of the mantle was done by Clean Sweep. The team was extremely courteous and constructive throughout. They were also remarkabley neat given the nature of the work. We believe we got an excellent result on a complicated project at a very fair price. We would recommend Clean Sweep.

During a furnace inspection/cleaning on 10/24 it was discovered that my chimney flue was completely clogged and the gas was shut off to the furnace until I could get the chimney cleaned. The next day I called several chimney companies to schedule a cleaning so I could get the furnace turned back on, but was told I had to wait several weeks, even though I explained that I was without heat. When I called Clean Sweep Chimney, Mr. Cullen said he could have someone come out the next morning between 11:00-1:00!!! Then realizing that the huge storm Sandy was approaching, I called him back to ask if I could also get a gutter cleaned/fixed that was like a waterfall everytime it rained and water would end up in my basement. He said, no problem, they can take care of it. Well, Matt called at 10:30 to say he was on his way and did a fabulous job not only cleaning out the chimney, but also fixed the gutter which is about 40' high, reinforced it with a bracket and cut the downspout at the base, since there were roots growing inside the below ground drainspout! Because all work was done Friday morning, I was able to get the gas turned back on to the furnace that same afternoon AND "Sandy" the monster storm didn't flood my basement with a foot or more of water, thanks to the great job done by Matt. Contacted two A rated chimney repair companies. The other one wanted to replace all firebox panels for $1000. This company said i only needed two panels and the bill was only $650. Glad to spend $650 instead of $1000 and they were able to do it two days after my initial call.

Outstanding! They were willing to come out almost immediately because we had no heat, and then spent the better part of the day working on our chimney. They were professional and kept things clean in the house. Cullen, the owner, was clear in explaining what was going on, the developing understanding of what could be causing the problem, and what it could cost. There was carbon monoxide getting into our house, and he was careful in assessing the risk and taking all precautions to keep us safe. When the CO monitor went off again at the end of a long day when he was almost home, he turned around and came all the way back to work on it some more. He was out again the next day too, working in tandem with the furnace people. This company more than went the extra mile for us, and it is appreciated.

I used them because they had an Angie’s List special and I was happy with the price. They were very professional and they pointed out some areas that may need taken care of in a few years or so. I appreciate that they weren’t very pushy about doing other work. I thought they were very professional in that respect. I didn’t actually watch them do the sweeping but I assume they did a good job. They didn’t leave any dirt around. I thought they were very thorough so I was happy with their quality. It took them awhile to get the appointment straight and they canceled a few times, but that was fine.

The workers from Clean Sweep Chimney & Gutter Service Company were very responsive. They were very efficient. They were very neat. They did a good job. They were very professional. They listened to what I had to say about what I wanted to accomplish with the chimneys. I compared prices with another vendor and Clean Sweep Chimney & Gutter Service Company was much more cost effective and practical in their solution. I would absolutely use them again in the future if required.

The crew called 30 minutes ahead of time and arrived promptly. All work was complete within 30 minutes. The crew was very polite to us and respectful of our home. The cause of the dryer vent blockage was lint from the dryer (the previous owner of our house rarely cleaned the lint trap) that had gotten wet with rain, creating a soft plug in the vent. The crew explained what had happened, what they had done to repair it, and how we could avoid further blockage in the future.

The agent arrived on time. I instructed him on the problem and he completed the job in a timely manner.

Clean Sweep was great!!! Cullen came out promptly and gave us a very knowledgeable estimate - - he understood how the chimney flues were constructed in our townhouse b/c he had done a lot of work on other houses in the neighborhood. He conveyed confidence that he would be able to shimmy a new liner down the chimney without having to break through walls or close up existing (retired) fireplaces. We had three other chimney repair companies come out and all three of them thought they would need to break through walls and/or have to go through our fireplaces, and their estimates were much higher. We went with Cullen and gave him a call on a Wednesday, he came out that Friday. He thought that perhaps the job would take a little more than one day so they were going to come out on Saturday, too - - but his crew worked quickly and efficiently and finished the job in a day. The service was GREAT and the price was very fair! I highly recommend Clean Sweep!!!

I received a call asking whether he could come early. He arrived promptly, explained everything in detail, was extremely polite and courteous, and very knowledgeable. He inspected all of our chimneys, explained that only one was dirty enough to need cleaning, cleaned the one that needed cleaning without creating a mess. He cleaned whatever mess was created, climbed onto the roof to inspect the tops and gave me a full report. Terrific job.

It went very well. I thought they were very, very good. I liked them a lot.

The guy who came out recommended us not to fix a crack during the winter time and fall. We paid ahead of time and he remembered to come out in the spring to fix it. We didn?t have to followup with him and he called us himself.

Communication by phone was outstanding. They are instantly available just about 24/7. The repair guy showed up on time, worked (I was home to observe) the whole time, fixed everything and it has been fine since (knock on wood). Billing was a breeze, they took my AmEx, my preferred payment method. I guess the price is consistent with market average, not necessarily deeply discounted (for why that's the only category I gave B, everything else is A+). THEY ARE VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, I WOULD WORK WITH THEM ANY TIME AGAIN.

I talked to them on a Thursday and they were very responsive and came the next day. We thought the gutter was going to have to be replaced but they just repaired it and it is good as new now.

We just sold our home in Guilford/Baltimore Md. The buyers required we re-line both fireplace and furnace chimneys. We had Cullen come out and do an inspection of our own and he assured us the fireplace chimney was in fine condition and gave us a certification for that, he did find the furnace chimney needed replacing. Cullen saved us approx. $9,000. Cullen has always been the one to clean our fireplace chimney and inspect it regularly. His report on our fireplace chimney was always that the chimney was in good condition and that is why we questioned the other estimate/report. We had never asked Cullen to check the furnace chimney so he was not aware that it was in need of repair until we had him inspect it.

It was great from start to finish. Very professional. Arrived on time and gave a clear estimate. My gutters were dripping so bad when it rained that I had water damage on my wood porch. I was so pleased to see the gutters working as they should. I would recommend them.

Though the flue must be cleaned from the inside, the work is always very clean. It's amazed me to see him do the work without leaving any residue in the house. He also offered advice on using the wood stove in a safe manner, decreasing the risk of creosote build-up or house fires.

We were very pleased with the work. They definitely fixed the problem we were having, but went a step farther, and repaired the roof around this area. We were so pleased we hired them to repair some gutters that were not draining effectively. We found the pricing to be very reasonable.
