Move went great! Would definitely use these guys again. Extremely hot day outside. Quinton and his crew arrived on time, were courteous & respectful. They really hustled despite the hot temps. Very meticulous not to damage any of my possessions or the buildings I was moving out of and into. Felix and Chris in the office were also very helpful...promptly answering my calls and dealing with my questions and concerns. Great overall experience.

Charm City Movers did a great job. They were punctual, professional and courteous. Each member (Moses, James, Michael and Quentin) introduced themselves with great eye contact and hand shake and were very friendly. Moses went through the house to compare it to the check list before starting, and then they all went to work. They worked hard and efficiently and took care not to damage walls while carrying furniture. They also had to hoist (or, technically, lower) several heavy items including a dresser and queen mattresses/box springs from the second story window. They did this safely without damaging the furniture. The only critique I have is how they handled the one large canvas painting I had them transport. They apparently put this lying horizontal on top of other furniture, over a corner or point, without protection, so the canvas was slightly stretched and pointed in that area. This is poor care of art. So, I'd advise caution in moving art work with them, but otherwise, they were fantastic and I would certainly use them again.

Moses and his team were friendly and efficient. Everyone I spoke with at the office was very nice and helpful. Although there was a mistake on the job sheet when the team showed up, I would still recommend this company for moving in Baltimore!

DO NOT USE CHARM CITY MOVERS (ccm). Bottom line: for a company that offers a guarantee price, you WILL NOT get a guarantee from them, and you WILL receive poor customer service. I emailed ccm telling them about all of the furniture that I had and that I was looking to move on 8/13/2016. They told me that they have a minimum price of $400 and based on our conversation and my email, I had so little furniture that they could move one of my TV’s (I was willing to move both to save $) plus all my furniture and I still would not be above the minimum. They said this amount of $400 was all I would pay and reassured me of this multiple times. The day of, they got to my house and saw my sectional and told me that they had not been informed I had a sectional and it would cost be an EXTRA $120. TOTALING $520. I had no choice (I am a single girl) and had to agree. When they got to my new house, they told me that my sectional would not fit in the basement. I asked if we could try from the back door and they reluctantly agreed. We tried to get it through that door and it would not fit. Since they had been there for LESS THAN 1.5 hours, I asked if we could move the couch inside through the front door to the living room and I would figure out what to do. They told me that they “didn’t have time and wanted to get to the next job, then THEY LEFT MY SECTIONAL OUT OF MY DECK FOR ME TO MOVE IN MYSELF SO IT DIDN’T GET DESTROYED IN THE RAIN that night. The next business day, I called and explained how I was charged an extra $120, including a fee for a sectional that I told them I have that they chose to not put on their inventory list, and, on top of it THEY DID NOT EVEN MOVE THE PIECE THEY WERE CHARGING ME EXTRA FOR AND LEFT IT IN THE RAIN. I was told that they did have the sectional on the original email I sent but it “just must have been an oversight” and that they would get back to me the next afternoon at the latest. That was yesterday and since I did not hear from them I called them this morning and they did not pick up. Do not use, I honestly would not wish this awful experience on anyone.

"These are the kind of reviews that hurt the most. I urge others who read this to read the countless others on line and make the decision of our professionalism on their own. I have no issue with a bad review, as I know we are not perfect, but this one is truly not an actual reflection of what happened in our eyes. [Member Name Removed] and I went over her list piece by piece. She had 9 items. A sectional was never discussed. I sent over a copy of the list immediately after the phone call, and asked her to review it and let me know of any changes. When I called to confirm her move, we again went over the list and no mention was made of a sectional. When our movers arrived on moving day, we told her there would be an additional charge to move the sectional. The $120 charge initiated on moving day was not just for the sectional as stated in the review, but the longer walk as well. We brought the sectional through the front door and when it wouldn't fit down the basement door, it went around half of a street block, the only way to access the back door and attempted to put it in the basement. It would not fit through the door. We brought it around to the front again. I was not there and cannot speak on anyone's behalf, but my movers told me she asked them to keep it outside as she would have to sell it. I called 2 mornings later as I had been out of the office and offered her $41. She wanted more. When I asked what she felt was reasonable she told me somewhere in the middle of $400 and $520. I offered her $61. She said it wasn't enough. This could have all been avoided if she had reviewed her list. I am so sorry if anyone felt slighted with this move, but when you get a quote from anyone, whomever it may be, it is important to review it to make sure it lays out exactly what you expect to receive for your money."

We were very pleased with Charm City Movers. We requested an estimate using their on-line inventory site, and heard back from Felix quickly. Felix called the day before the move to confirm everything, and the crew showed up exactly when scheduled. Moses, James, and Michael were polite and friendly, and worked really hard. The house we moved from was a three-story-with-finished-basement row house, with a quite narrow, winding, low-ceilinged stair from the first to the third floor. Some of our furniture had to go out through the second-story windows. They took good care with everything, including the walls, and while some (inevitable) dings occurred the damage was minimal. The delivery location, less than a mile away, was another three-story row house (with more accessible stairs) and they were just as careful on that end. The entire move took almost exactly three hours, much less than estimated. While moving is rarely fun, this team made the ordeal go quickly and pleasantly.

Excellent! The team (Moses, James, and Michael) were wonderful, professional, and courteous. Aside from taking excellent care of my furniture/boxes to be moved, they paid attention to details when placing the furniture in the house (they suggested moving a couch a few inches so it didn't block an outlet, much appreciated!!). I would recommend Charm City Movers to my family and friends and use them again!

Team of two did a great job and expertly handled all of the furniture. Got everything moved out/in in short order and were friendly and professional. There was concern about one piece fitting through the door and they got it in with no issue. They were also willing to help relocate a piece that they had already moved after I had mistakenly told them to put it in the wrong place. Customer service setting up and coordinating the move was very responsive and courteous. This was our first time hiring a mover and we were very happy with this choice. We would definitely hire them again.

An amazing team of four arrived exactly on time and had my daughters furniture moved out of our house in under an hour. They were so nice and did a great job. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Pricing was very reasonable. I will never use anyone else.

Less than two weeks ago, we our move plans were changed quite a bit due to the birth of our first child, and I decided to get some help with the larger items. I filled out a quote online, and before the end of the day received a call from Tammy clarifying a few items and sending me a quote before we were off the line. A week later, I needed to change a few items but before I could I received a follow up call to talk about the potential for a snowstorm. Tammy committed to a daily update between Wednesday and the move date (Saturday 1/23/16) to make sure we could all be on the same page. By Friday afternoon, we had determined that Saturday was not going to happen due to 30 inches of snow and we would shoot for Monday instead. At that time I began to coordinate with Felix.
A few details about the move - we were moving just down the block, and with the poor weather, we had intended to move without a truck. We committed to clear the sidewalk between the two houses as best we could and make sure all stairs were salted. Sunday afternoon Felix called me to confirm a time Monday and see that we were able to find the sidewalk.
The next day, despite most of the city being under snow and Quinton and Mark showed up on time, found a parking spot (miraculously) and proceeded over the course of a few short hours carry an entire house worth of furniture though a narrowly shoveled sidewalk and around some tight corners that left both the house and furniture unharmed. I've been stressing for weeks and terribly over the weekend, but from Tammy to Felix at the office to Quinton and Mark at the houses, I'm totally able to recommend Charm City to anyone. The price was super, and the customer service and respect for our homes (old and new) were spectacular.

A true professional service company. They showed up on-time. We live in the city on a dead-end street and had the patience to work with the limiting parking circumstances of the neighborhood. They moved my son's bedding, furniture, some bins and boxes and electronics from our house. Then, they drove to his storage facility, moved a large dresser, and more boxes of stuff. From there they drove about 12 miles to his new apartment taking his stuff up a few flights of stairs (no elevator). But they knew all this in advance when we gave them the information and received the quoted price.
They efficiently moved him within 2 1/2 hours start to finish without our involvement other than providing directions as to what needed moving and where to deliver.
There are services out there that you rent a truck, and they "connect" you with labor help and that's who my son first contracted to do his move. The cost may be 50% lower than a professional service, but you have to understand that those are just "connectors" and assume no liability.. no insurance and no bonding as a professional service and you are basically on your own. If your stuff gets damaged, or the helpers get hurt moving you, that is your responsibility.
My son is very pleased I used my Angie's List subscription to find Charm City Movers instead of trying to move it himself. And I would recommend Charm CIty Movers and use them again if I need them.

Outstanding experience from beginning to end. Felix (that's a she) was an absolute delight to speak/laugh with. She and her assistant moved my moving date several times, at my request, always with the same response: "No problem!" The three professional movers showed up right on time, negotiated the elevator in the storage space with ease and efficiency, loaded everything out in half an hour, and did the load-in at my home in even less time. I especially like that Felix offered a flat rate for the move, as opposed to an estimate based on an hourly rate. I knew exactly what the move would cost me, and didn't have to worry about whether a traffic jam on the Beltway would delay the truck and send my costs soaring. I would definitely use them again.

This was a very easy move overall, from the quote process to the actual moving day. Office staff is helpful and responsive, and very flexible in terms of pricing. Even last-minute changes were fine and easily accommodated. Jerome and crew were punctual and efficient and took good care of my things. They definitely went above and beyond by helping me move a car out of my driveway (I dont drive stick, oops...), moving a TV and TV table in the house, and helping to reassemble a piece of furniture, all of which they could have refused but were done with a great attitude. A stressful day was so much easier thanks to Charm City Movers!

Everything went GREAT!! From the day before with my confirmation call with Felix to the actual move. Plus they were right on the money with their quote. There was no discrepancy between the quote and the actual charge which is very rare when using a mover. Quinton Was FANTASTIC!! His professionalism and dedication to his job are evident from the moment he arrived with his team. Each member of the team did a great job loading and unloading our furniture and they were able to set everything up the way they found it.
I cannot say anything bad about our experience. Charm City Movers is a shining example of how movers should be. Their professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction is second to none. "This was a move we did back in February. I never received a phone call or email regarding our service and am unsure as to why we got a low score as there is no input. There were 4 men on this move, and no notations were on the moving contract about any issues. The customer signed off on receiving her goods with no visual damage. We only moved 8 pieces and the men who did this move have been called out by name with praises in many reviews on Angie's List, so I really don't know what this rating is about. A company can do nothing about what someone sees as a bad move unless you let them know."

The five-man crew loaded two trucks, drove across town and unloaded everything in three hours. They were efficient, professional, helpful and friendly. It was a pleasure doing business with them and the office staff who coordinated the move. I highly recommend Charm City Movers.

The office staff is fantastic and very helpful in the days leading up to the move. The estimates they give are based on your inventory, so as long as you have done your work, the amount you pay will be spot on.
My wife and I had a few very large items that had to be navigating through some tight spots. The crew did a good job of getting everything out of the old house and loaded on the truck. Our new house also had a tight stairway to the upper floor which caused some problems with a dresser, but the guys got it done. A few scrapes were left on the side of the dresser, but I can't really fault the movers. I know that I could never have gotten the dresser up those stairs.
Overall, the crew was friendly and honest. I would definitely hire them again.

"Even though you have opted not to use us again, I really do appreciate your review. I am so sorry you had a negative experience with us. We do our best over here to make each move a great one, and to see that you were unhappy really does have a negative effect on us internally as well. This was a move when we had days of rain and wind, and that is truly the worst case scenario when we are out there moving. Our pads get wet and become unusable, and our men were more than likely wet and worried about running out of dry pads. This was the 2nd move of the day for that crew as well as the 3rd straight day of rain. Please send me a photo of your coffee table. I will be happy to send out our Restoration Specialist and he will repair the scratch for you!"

They arrived right on time and moved all of our stuff out of the apartment in an hour. Quinton was the head mover and he was very efficient and friendly. They had a hard moving our couch and chair into the house (very narrow entranceway) and had to walk around to the back of the house and remove the back door to get everything in! I can't say enough good things about them and will use them again in the future.
