Response from Charm City Movers
First, I would like to express how sorry I am that we had a potential customer who was so unhappy with our services. We truly do see ourselves as a very unique moving company, as we have always treated people as we would like to be treated ourselves.I do feel, however, like we did not deserve this rating as some of the facts have been omitted. Moving is a very stressful event in ones life, with many variables and time restraints and I completely understand how some of these facts could have been overlooked by this potential customer. We were contacted by this individual and she was given a quote on Dec 27, 2012. She emailed us back on Saturday, Jan 5 stating she wanted to move on Monday, Jan 7th. She offered no addresses in that email. Chris called her back that day, but she did not answer her phone. He did leave a message asking her to call us back as soon as possible so we could get her on the books Monday.Chris gave her his cell phone number, as he would be leaving the office, and asked her to call him as soon as she got his message. Again, we had no addresses for her move and at that point she was not on the schedule for Monday. Chris never got a phone call back, but on Sunday at 6:30pm we did get an email asking for confirmation. Unfortunately, we had left the office on Sunday at 5 p.m. and we did not see her message until Monday morning. I called her the moment I saw her message and told her that over the weekend, we had booked out all slots for Monday but would be able to move her the following day. It is very important that customers realize that if you are on a time restraint , you must call your moving company as soon as possible and let them know you need their services. An email sent on a Sunday at 6:30pm will not be viewed until the following day. This is why she was given a cell number on Saturday to call. If we were contacted back on Saturday,or even earlier in the day on Sunday, she would have been able to book her move for Monday. I offered to move her on Tuesday, but that was not an option for her as she had to work. Our reputation is a strong one. We have never aborted any move that had been previously scheduled. Also,%65 of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. Most moving companies are lucky to get even %10 of their previous moves return,so we have a lot of pride in that percentage. Again, my apologies for any inconvenience our potential customer experienced. I just wish I had the opportunity to speak with you over the weekend and we could have avoided this experience. Felix
