Charm City Movers

We contacted Charm City movers about moving our new office location from its existing spot to a new building.  They had one week notice.  Felix worked with myself and my assistant every single day and took multiple trips to the office for the purpose of ensuring a correct inventory and planning the move as thoughtfully as possible.  On the day of the move, everything wen't wrong.  The elevators weren't functioning at the old space and the new space and the doors were locked at the old space.  Felix's team did not miss a single beat and did not stop working no matter what was going on.  When the elevators broke, they simply took the stairs instead of standing aroud saying "what do we do now boss?".  The temperatures were 105 that day, and it's certain that nobody felt like working to full potential, but they did anyways.
The move took half a day longer than expected, likely due to the down time from elevators and access issues, and they didn't give me a hard time about coming back the next day to move the remaining items into storage.  They all just had a geuine "get it done" attitude.  Even when our staff decided to redecorate mid-move, they simply put the items where directed and kept going.
Overall the experience was more than pleasant considering the scale of the move.  I found that Felix did a wonderful job of both coordinating her men and also of makig sure we had enough movers.  Because of her planning, we had movers assembling at one location, and other movers loading storage lockers.  What could have took 3 days took a day and a half, even with setbacks.
While we hope that we never move again, if we do we will use Charm City without a doubt.  As a matter of fact, because of the staff's "redecorating" (Again) we will be having Charm City back out for one more game of musical desks......

They did an extremely good job!!  The office staff was extremely helpful while I was obtaining my estimate and explained everything.  Chris even called the day before to make sure I had no questions and to see if I needed to change the inventory of items that would be moved.  They arrived early on the day of the move, introduced themselves, and then started moving my belongings.  All of the movers were fast, friendly, and professional.  I had an all around good experience and I am happy that I chose Charm City Movers!

They did a great job collecting furniture from two different houses and delivering it to my daughter's new home.  We had everything labeled for the different rooms and they took the stuff up and down stairs in three houses.  They were running a little late from their previous job and called to let us know and then again when they were nearby.  Great service, I really appreciated them.

Guys were great at moving furniture down circular stairway.  Move was extremely fast and efficient, guys were real pros.

I had a wonderful experience with Charm City Movers.  The people in the office were wonderful and explained everything very clearly.  The movers were early, super fast, friendly, and professional. 

They were professional.  The people and the company were super nice.  I was in a town house that was very narrow and they hadn’t placed furniture and that is one of the big reasons I hired them.

The people on the phone and in person were very kind, helpful, and friendly. You know how moving is really stressful? Well they were calming and reassuring! (This was a bit better on the phone than in person, but still good in person). They gave us an accurate estimation based on what we have, not how long they think they might take, and explained this clearly on the phone because it is a different approach from how others do things. I really like it much better!They showed up at the beginning of the time window they gave us, worked quickly and accurately (we had some things that did not need to be taken, they did not take any of that, they did not miss anything, they even took something apart part  way that was assembled in that house!). They got everything to the new house with no trouble, and unloaded things smoothly (asked us where things go, put them in the right place). They also had four men (I think I've only ever had 2-3 before), which again helped things go more quickly. Overall, it was one of my most smooth moves, which is good since we've just bought a house and were the most anxious about it!

They had a high quality of work. They were phenominal! They were very thurough and covered everything up. They were very gentle with my belonging and were able to work with my schedule.

Chris and his team arrived on time and worked very efficiently - moving all items into the POD in 1.5 hours. They were friendly and polite, extremely efficient, and took care with our things. They packed the POD extremely tightly, making excellent use of all the available space. Although Chris was initially worried that we had too many boxes to fit in the POD, they got everything to fit with room to spare. They even asked us to find a few more things to put in the POD so we made use of that space, and didn't charge extra for those items. The by-item pricing was perfect for our needs. And as a bonus, Felix was awesome on the phone! She answered all my questions with patience and good humor - it was like having a good friend on the end of the line. We plan to use them in a month to pack a second POD, and if we were staying in the Baltimore area they would definitely be our movers of choice!

They arrived on time, loaded their truck carefully and quickly, and unloaded efficiently.  No problems at all. Very friendly and professional service.

I was able to call and schedule the move from a 2 bedroom apt to a 3 level townhouse over the phone. Felix asked me about items I was moving. I arranged for them to go to my storage facility and pick up more stuff to bring to the townhouse.  They gave me a very good quote for the amount of stuff I had. The day before the move, Chris called and confirmed the appointment. They showed up 10 minutes early on the day of the move.

 The guys were great!!  Quincy, Mark, Dominique and Chris were professional and respectful. They worked hard the whole time.  There were A LOT of stairs involved and they didn't drop anything. They didn't bang a single wall and not a single thing was broken.  They were completely finished in 3.5 hours including the extra trip to storage.  My stuff filled the 24' truck they brought.  They put everything exactly where I wanted it and offered to move it if I wasn't happy with its location. 

I am an Army Brat and have moved dozens of times and these guys were the best movers I have worked with.  I wanted to hug them at the end of the move, especially Quincy and Mark who were outstanding.  I would definitely use them again.  

The other reviews were enough for me to call Charm City Movers for an estimate.  They were very quick to provide me with what I thought was an incredibly fair rate.  They moved furniture within my building so no truck or mileage were needed.  The team showed up right on time and within 90 minutes, the entire lot of furniture had been moved and not only that...they staged the apartment so perfectly, I don't forsee any further "tweaking" on the layout of the furniture.  All-around, a great company - friendly and professional and great at what they do!  I recommend them and would certainly use them again!

The people in the office were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They base the cost on the items you have to move and do an estimate with you on the phone. I did not schedule in advance and was happy they could squeeze me in so quickly. The movers were a little late but the office had kept me informed of their progress. The previous customer was not ready for them and caused a delay, which is very understandable.

The movers were friendly, careful, efficient and were done in a short amount of time.

I have nothing to report for negatives - would highly recommend

(ALL these guys at one time or another went out of their way to get covers to protect my belongs and that was the reassurance I needed.)

 Felix was professional on the phone, she took time to hear my concerns, then reassured me that they can handle my move.  Felix was detailed and went over my moving inventory.  Felix checked on me the day before the move to make sure she is there for me (the customer).  Felix voiced to me the job will be handled @ the quoted price and a 4 man crew will have the heart and strength to move me with no issues and with professionalism.  The driver did call before showing up and they were on time. The guys were kind and respectful and cool.  I offered to help Cooley and he replied he?s got it. William I know he saw I wanted to help, without a word he jumped to it and took care of it.  I hope the company does something for them to show they are appreciated like (we were) for the service. Moved contents of apartment on Fleet St. in Baltimore to another apartment in Mt. Washington section of Baltimore. Arrived exactly on time. Workrd quickly, but carefully.Price was exactly as previously agreed upon. Really couldn't have been smoother.

.  They did a good job. They were quick so I was satisfied. They did not help in packing.  They had good speed. They don’t charge per hour. They charge per item. We will use them in the future.

This company is GREAT!!! I contacted 3 Angie list companies for this job and the 3 said that there was a minimum of 3 hours at a total cost of over $300 before I found Charm City Movers. They agreed to take on the job for $100. Although located in Baltimore, they had local work (Annapolis) and agreed to help me out without soaking me. The quality of the work, attitude, responsiveness were all outstanding. I can recommend them with no reservations.
