I went in on 10/16/2015 for a simple oil change, my car ran perfectly fine prior to going in. While there they told me I needed a quart of transmission fluid I told them to put it in. As soon as I left the car started bucking, I live less than a mile away, so I went immediately home, I had very little to do on Saturday so when I did use the car it bucked and the transmission didn't seem to want to shift, but sat most of the day because my son drove me to PA. On Sunday is when it really happened, I took it for a trip to Walmart, the entire car shut off, the check engine light came on, the cruise control came on, it was bucking, just a mess. I turned it off, waited, gingerly turned it back on, prayed and made it home and called my mechanic. My mechanic came over, first he checked the oil it was down 1 1/2 quarts....even though they had just done an oil change 2 days before, then he checked the transmission fluid, it was bone dry. He put 2 1/2 quarts in and told me to take it to work the next day and have the mechanics at my job see if it was throwing codes and go over it with a fine tooth comb. See I've been working with mechanics for 16 years, I just choose not to bother them with oil changes, major work yes, but oil changes, I hate to be a pest with them, well not anymore. Please also note I am a female. I went into work, the mechanics pulled the car into the shop they ran it for codes it was clear but it needed more transmission fluid. Both of my certified mechanics stated that either they pulled the plug on the tranny fluid or they used a fluid evacuator to remove the tranny fluid. I confronted the owner, who did not like my language, he called over his mechanic who swore he put 6 quarts of oil in my car, now why would you put 6 quarts of oil in a car for an oil change? and why would I be down 1 1/2 quarts....LIE number 1, I mentioned the fluid evacuation, the owner said that takes an hour, it takes 5-8 minutes LIE number 2. The owner asked me why I didn't bring it back. Well it's obvious, the reason they did this was to make me have to bring it back for repair so they could overcharge me for something or say I needed a new transmission. I knew the minute I had left they had done something to my car, I certainly was not going to give them the opportunity to make a bad situation worse. I have two certified mechanics that will back this story. As an added note, I received a call from Charm City this morning, the mechanic who worked on my car, he now tells me he "accidentally" on Friday unplugged the transmission plug and was scared to tell anyone, and I was so irate yesterday that he didn't fess up but he just had to today. Do I believe him, NOT IN THE LEAST, I THINK THE OWNER IS BEHIND THIS, I THINK THAT THEY SAW A WOMAN WHO DOESN'T GET ANY SERVICE WORK DONE THERE AND THOUGHT...HMMMM...SHE'S AN EASY MARK, WHAT THEY DIDN'T COUNT ON IS THAT I WORK WITH MECHANICS AND THAT I WOULD HAVE CERTIFIED MECHANICS CHECK MY CAR FOR THE DAMAGES. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED....BEWARE!!!!!!
