Description of Work: Building Character rehabs homes in the Baltimore area. I spent about 8 months looking around Fed Hill, Locust Point, Riverside, and Canton for my future home, and can easily say that the best homes I walked into were done by MK Building Character. They do the best job in the city on rehabbing homes, and build based on what buyers are looking for. My brother and I bought a 3 BR/3.5 Bath from MKBC and couldn't be happier. Everything they do is brand new, so you're going to be paying towards the top of the market, but their work trumps all other rehab companies in the area. If you can, just walk through one of their homes, and you'll see why these guys are constantly referred to as the best.

 + -1 moreThey did an absolutely wonderful job. They stayed on budget and the only increases where for upgrades we asked for. The house looks beautiful. We were so pleased with their work we plan to use them in the future.

 + -1 moreIt went great! I hear a lot of horror stories about working with builders. My wife and I couldn't be more satisfied. It helps to know that they build a great product to start but then we were able to work with them pre-construction to customize the home a bit more. We are extremely happy with the finished product and I would recommend to anyone looking for a new home.

 + -1 moreWe are waiting to close at the end of the month, however, I would like to note that from the beginning MK has been great to deal with. When we had meetings scheduled they were on time and very responsive to questions. Having been in a few of the homes they've built and several other new renovaions by other builers, in the Batimore area, MK's Quality is second to none. I can honestly say that if two homes were for sale side by side with the same layout and finishes (one MK an the other "Builder X"), with MK's home $25K more, I would choose to go with the MK home. Not to say all other builders in the Baltimore area are bad but MK is that good.

 + -1 moreI had used BCMK in the past and they are always eager to please. The job went well, however, it did not solve my leak problem 100%- more like 99%. They have been back to follow-up.
Description of Work: I had a major window leak on my third floor and BCMK recommended replacing the mansard roof (shingles) with EPDM rubber roofing, adding siding to the side, and flashing around the window.
