Blue Ocean Realty

I have nothing good to say about Blue Ocean Realty/Milford Property Holdings. I would turn people away from them, because it was a very bad experience. I have since moved away from there. I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I went through. It is interesting that their name is Blue Ocean, because a blue ocean is beautiful and the way they handle their business is the opposite of that. I would run from these people. They have so many complaints with the city it is ridiculous. They have a ton of complaints. People are not aware of the complaints when they rent from them. I am not renting from the anymore. I lived there for over 11 years and they changed management 6 times. The people who own it are constantly selling it and then go under a new name. In an 11 year period they changed the name at least 7 times. What stands out to me is that it is very dangerous when you don't have a fire extinguisher in a building, which is a safety violation. The other thing that stands out about them is that there are crowds of men who slept in the halls and looters that sat on the steps daily, so that the people who lived there had to walk around and through. I felt unsafe walking in and out of my own home to go back and froth to work because of these strangers hanging around the building. A lot of visitation and littering that the leasing office never did anything about. Repairs, like the front door that had been tampered with that prevented me from exiting the building one day to go to work so I had to get the fire department and the police department to use an ax to break the lock just so I could get out. That is very unsafe because if someone was sick and needed to be rushed out in an emergency that could have been a life saving situation. I lost a day's pay for that. No one should ever have to go through something like this. They are definitely an F, without a question. They are overpriced. Their price is an F. You can't give all this poor service and then try and charge a lot of money. When I tried to discuss issues with the management they would tell me things like it is not up for discussion. When I tried to get reimbursed for the day's pay that I lost for the lock being broke and I gave them a copy of the police report to substantiate the legitimacy of my claim of not being able to get out of the building. Although I gave them a document to prove my being locked in the building they didn't ever reimburse my for a day's pay. Their customer service and professionalism is also an F. It is very difficult to deal with these people. Professionalism is like 3 F's. I would never, ever use them again and I pity the people who do use them. They have you sign this paperwork when you sign a lease that says automatic renewal and what they do is automatically put you into another whole year lease. When that is not right. A person should have the option to renew their lease. They should not have to realize that I have to stay here another year. It is illegal really. They are involved in illegal activity with how they have their lease formulated with that automatic renewal.
