They said they could not repair the AC. Then sold a new one for approximately 11,000. The AC unit was defective, and they were supposed to bring a part to fix it, but that didn't work. Then they were supposed to replace it, but they have not done that. It is HOT now, and there is no working AC at all.

I was very unhappy with the work of the tech that was sent to my property. I spoke to him when he was physically at the property via my tenant's phone. He mentioned a couple issues that I did not understand because I am not knowledgeable about furnaces. I requested he send an outline of what was wrong in writing to me once he was finished at my property so I could research the problems. His main advice was to replace the furnace altogether - that there was too much wrong with it to make it worth fixing. He said I would have to have another tech go out to my house to give me an estimate to replace the furnace. He told me he would contact that the tech and that he would be able to swing by my property either Saturday night or Sunday morning between 8 and 9 am to do so. I was working all day Sunday, but when I got home I realized I had not heard from anyone from Blue Dot, and it was nearing another night that my tenant would have to freeze with no heat. I called the Blue Dot number available online, but the woman I spoke with was completely clueless about Blue Dot's policies, procedures, and my particular situation and was unhelpful. I started to doubt I'd hear back from the tech who I'd paid to review my furnace on Saturday night and knew my tenant was facing another cold night at the property. I called alternate providers and found one who could send a tech to my property first thing in the morning. He asked me what the Blue Dot tech had discovered was wrong with the furnace and I could not tell him, not having the written analysis that I was promised the tech would send me - this tech would have to start from scratch. The other tech showed up promptly at my property at 8:30am. Within 30 minutes, the furnace was back on. He had cleaned one rusty piece and pulled a filter out that had been sucked up somewhere it should not have been. I was confused that it was so easy for him to get the furnace running again after the Blue Dot tech had told me I would have to replace my entire furnace. He said that the tech either did not know what he was doing, or he was just trying to sell me a new furnace. Neither of these things reflects well on Blue Dot. I regretted sending Blue Dot to my property, seeing as if I had sent this other tech on Saturday night, my tenant would not have had to spend a single night without heat. Due to the Blue Dot tech's incompetence (or worse), my tenant had to spend two nights in the cold and I am now compensating her for it by giving her $100 break on her rent. This $100 could have been saved, as could have the second diagnostic fee I had to pay the other tech who was actually able to fix my furnace with no trouble in under 30 minutes. They charged $150 for fixing the furnace, the diagnostic, everything. I have still not received any follow-up about the second estimate from anyone at Blue Dot. If I relied on Blue Dot completely, my tenant would have had many more nights in the freezing cold. Don't use them. I don't know how they have such a high rating on this website.
