BJ's Hauling

Called BJ's on Friday and spoke with James. He told me he would call me back in a 1/2 hr. He didn't. I called and spoke with James again on Saturday. He told me he would call me back in a while and didn't. I emailed James on Sunday, detailing my needs and never heard back from him.

Though they were a little late, they called and let me know they were on the way. I got a number of estimates and most were over $50+. BJ's was, by far, the most reasonable.

Called and spoke to James. Said they'd look at it and call back with an estimate within one day. I never heard back in over a week. I did not try to call back myself and follow up, figuring there wouldn't be much point. The whole phone call was a little weird and unprofessional, too. Mind you, I am not expecting any kind of polished slick salesman kind of interaction, but James came across quite unprofessionally -- more like just some dude with a truck you'd find on Craigslist than an actual company on Angie's List.

Received estimate on 5/5/09 and had junk hauled on 5/6. Received call that truck was running late. Truck arrived even later than expected, but once it arrived at my house, the 2--person crew was efficient and got everything removed quickly and completely.

I called Fri. morning to find out if they could come and haul away some trash for us. They said they'd be by on Sat. b/w 9 and 9:30. I hadn't heard anything from them at all by 9:20, so I figured I'd call and make sure they were on their way. I got a busy signal from their phone # for 20 min. When I finally got through, I got voicemail. Couldn't get them to come, so I can't speak to their service, but I can certainly say they're lacking in the customer service department.

I thought it was great. They were very professional. They were on time and did exactly what they said they were going to do. The biggest thing for me, being a contractor myself, is that I wasn't hounded for money.

James called me right away after I left him a message. We set up a time for him to assess the job and provide an estimate. James was right on time, quickly reviewed the job and gave me an estimate within an hour. I agreed to the terms, and James was out the same day to start the job! James and his crew worked quickly and efficiently to first remove most of the debris from the back yard. A second and third visit were required to finish removing the debris (scheduled at our convenience) including an old wood stove that had to be wrestled out of the basement. The demolition work was done a few days later, had everything was completed quickly and neatly. James and the other crew members on the job were punctual, friendly, and left the work site very clean. I would highly recommend BJ's for any hauling or clean up project.

Our experience with Mr. James Price and his hardworking, well organized crew was positive from start to finish. He responded quickly to our request for service and kept us informed about the timing and scheduling of the work. All businesses should be managed this well!

Very well. The team was professional and very detail oriented. James is very customer service oriented and trustful. Due to the excellent quality of work we have decided to use BJ Hauling for demo of some interior walls.
