Diagnosed check light as problem with fuel overflow/vapor revcovery- but could not find problem 2. Diagnosed bad radiator hose but could not get part 3. Failed to change oil 4. Car still runs rough and stalls 5. Claim breaks are still good. Charged $40

Description of Work: Probably the last incredible family owned and operated auto repair shop. The owner, Steve, was articulate, patient with explanation of problem with my toyota and the repair wound up costing less than his original estimate. Shock!!!!!Yeah!!!!! The Co gave me a ride home while my car was being fixed and then returned repaired car to my home. I live in Guilford so it was not too far for the owner. All replaced parts were neatly in a box in my trunk. There is no comparison between the price I was give a a large dealership compared to Atlas Auto. They do not have a beautiful waiting room with old coffee like the dealerships, however, for the amount of money I saved I am extremely happy.Atlas is my only choice in Baltimore for repair of all my family cars. Also, I spoke to Mr. Sturgis about a car for my teenage son. He gave me an excellent recommendation, ball parked a price (also great) and said he would likely locate one in a few weeks, inspect it and away he will go.I love Atlas Auto.

Description of Work: I have a 2005 Ford Taurus which I am planning on keeping another 20 years. Steve Sturgis, a old fashioned master auto mechanic did a complete brand new brakes plus struts. We live near Johns Hopkins Campus, Charles Village and the shop was convenient, fast, and very reasonable. Plus, Steve stands behind all his repairs.

Description of Work: We had the front and rear brakes repaired on a Ford. He used high quality parts, explained problem thoroughly- the car runs like its brand new. He also did an oil change and replaced my dirty air filter. The owner, Steve, is a master mechanic who can fix anything. It is a family business that has been in the auto repair and sale business for years and years. He does not advertise and just recently put a sign up. He is honest, fair, does expert auto repair and guarantees all of his work. I wish we had found him sooner. He is located near Roland Park. He is off of Cold Spring Avenue and York Road going south just a few blocks. Lots of policeman bring their personal cars and motorcycles for repair. He is a steal.

Description of Work: I live in Guilford, quite close to Atlas Auto. I absolutely love the owner, Steve Sturgis and his two sons who work with him. This a small family owned Auto repair/sales company. They have little to no signs out front. It is purely by word of mouth. I recently had two transactions with the owner. First, He purchased me an almost brand new (less than 12,000 miles) Lexus 350 SUV. He went directly to Manheim picked it up; brought it back to Baltimore and then inspected it. I saved at least 10,000 dollars and I expect to have this car for many many years.Mr. Sturgis knows the auto purchase field; all of the secrets. I strongly recommend him to anyone who is interested in a slightly used excellent car. No on anywhere can come close to his price because he is a small family owned business with little overhead. Second, I have another toyota and took it stupidly to the dealer first (will not give name) Thank God they were rude and said it would take them a minimum of 5 hours waiting to perform this emergency job and after I waited they still many not get it done today. I ran over to Atlas at 3:00 in afternoon and he put on new brakes and thoroughly checked entire automobile. He also bought top of the line brakes (none of those cheap pads) I was out and on my way to pick up my son from school by 5. May God Bless Steve.

Description of Work: Do speak directly with the owner, Mr. Strugis. This is absolutely the best auto repair shop in Maryland. I almost hate to recommend because I won't be able to get an appointment. He repaired broken electric windows (an electrical problem) and evaluated and tested my radiator. This was for a Mercedes Coupe. He is the most knowledgeable, old-fashioned honest auto mechanic I have ever met and I am not young. He does not advertise.
