Atlantic Pest Control

Before moving into my new home Atlantic did my termite inspection. Because of this, they offered me a year of quarterly pest services for a discounted price. At first I wasn't going to use them, until I moved into my home and discovered a mouse was here with me. I called Atlantic and they were able to send someone the next day! The gentleman who came, I believe his name was Will or William, was OUTSTANDING! He was polite, knowledgable, friendly, and put me at ease about an uneasy situation. He did a thorough inspection, explained what he was doing every step of the way, and put solutions in place based on what he found. He even went an extra step to ask me for a broom to sweep up a large amount of mouse droppings that were behind my oven! Living and working in the city I have had my fair share of run-ins with rodents and with pest control companies and this was by far the best experience I have had. I am so glad this is the company that is working with me and hope that William comes by next time I need service because he was just wonderful.

I pay by the year for two houses, $530 a year for both. I've been with them for so long. They have a centracom system, they check the baits and put in poison if they see a hit.

Overall, everything is good. My only complaint is that they schedule appointments without contacting us, so they show up at our house randomly. It's a little disconcerting. When they come, they are quick and pretty unobtrusive. We haven't had any issues with bugs since starting the service. And I feel confident that if I had an issue they would come out to resolve it fairly quickly.

They are wonderful. We have not seen any pests or insects and only one time we saw a mouse. The guy came out right away and took care of the mouse and we have not seen any since. We are very pleased with their service. I would highly recommend them and will continue to keep using them.

I had a wonderful, and surprising, experience with the professionals at Atlantic Pest Control. For a few weeks, hornets had been swarming around a lilac bush right up against my house. I finally called Atlantic, thinking the hornets might get INTO my house, and contracted with them to remove them. When they arrived, I received a call saying that they had sprayed the hornets they saw, but despite searching around the area, they were unable to find the nest. They answered all my questions about their behavior, and how to protect my family from stinging, but as they had not found the nest, there would be no charge for their visit and the spraying that had been done. This is a very professional company, and I would certainly trust their advice and expertise regarding any future work I might need.

We are very pleased with such honest and timely service despite the fact that we ended up not purchasing anything Wow. We commend Atlantic for their professionalism and honestly. Thank you!!!

The infected areas were sprayed as were a couple of adjoining rooms. We followed their advice and heated our clothes and fabric in the drier and covered our mattress and box spring. We have been diligently checking once a week and thankfully have not need any followup treatment but if we did we would call Atlantic back.

I did have to call them back within 30 days. They came back out, but I am still seeing droppings. I am not sure if the issue is with their service, as I live in an adjoined town home and the neighbors may have these issues. They were very courteous, punctual, and professional.

WE GOT A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH, NO PESTS. NO CHARGE. THEY WERE VERY THOROUGH AND GAVE ME GREAT ADVICE AS TO HOW TO STAY PEST FREE. I WOULD USE THEM IN A HEARTBEAT IF I NEEDED HELP INSIDE OR OUT. THE SAW DUST WE SAW IN THE BASEMENT WAS APPARENTLY CAUSED BY CONSTRUCTION/REMODELING RECENTLY. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT

The ant problem was pretty extreme in my kitchen and I wasn't able to get rid of them with over the counter solutions, which normally work. The exterminator put a gel solution at a number of points in my kitchen and also spread granules at various points around the foundation of the house. Within 24 hours , the ants were mostly gone but they came back within about 10 days. Fortunately there is a 30 day guarantee and APC came back out and squirted more gel around my kitchen. It's been about 6 weeks since their last visit and I am starting to see ants again. The gel that they shot in the first 2 visits is still all over my kitchen - completely hardened and apparently no longer attractive to the ants as they are crawling over it but keep moving. I don't know a lot about ants and pest control but I felt that the service was rather rudimentary and didn't necessarily address the source of the problem; I've seen the ants (though far fewer now) in exactly the same places I had before.

I called and explained how concerned I was that I had found fleas in my basement. The receptionist was very nice and was able to get someone to my home the next day. The tech was prompt courteous and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again.

I would have given them an A, but my first appointment somehow wasn't registered in the system- so no one ever showed up. That was scheduled for a Friday. I sent an email to the receptionist asking what was up, and to my surprise, she responded on a Saturday from her personal email address explaining that she'd get to the bottom of it. On Monday, I rescheduled the appointment and they were able to come out that week, and were on time and very courteous. Update 10/2013- Two weeks ago, I scheduled for them to come back out (in between the quarterly visit), and no one ever showed up. I sent an email to ask why and there was no response to that either. Finally I called and set up another appointment- they're scheduled to come out on Tuesday, so we'll see how it goes. I don't know what's going on in the admin department, but that's the only part that I take issue with- the first technician was fine. Not responding to customer requests is unprofessional though, and if I hadn't already paid for the service, I'd pick someone else. Update 3/24/2014- Someone came out a few weeks ago, 2/20/14, and put more bait in the traps as we had started seeing them again. Since then, I think I've seen MORE. While here, the tech mentioned that refilling the bait traps in the basement should keep them from traveling to the upper levels of the house, which got me to thinking "I don't want them in my basement either- I want them gone!" At any rate, it hasn't been working. Just yesterday, I discovered one sleeping in my boot- after I put my foot in, of course. Now my neighbors think I'm nuts because I ran out of the house screaming. BTW- it ran out of my boot into the closet. I know it survived because I just saw it coming out of my husband's closer about an hour ago (or maybe it was a cousin- can't be sure- the screaming scared it away). I think that I need a company that will mouse proof my home, not just treat the infestation. I'm going to have to find a company that will, because clearly this isn't working. I can't say that's their fault- perhaps it's just not a good fit for what I need- but even their control efforts haven't controlled the issue. I'm getting ready to pay the balance of this contract and find a different company.

I found them on Angies List and I found their services very good. They put out bait inside and outside including the crawl space. They were prompt, friendly and they communicated very well. They were rather concerned since I had dog unsheltered in the house and they were very good about making sure all that was taken into account. Price wise I don’t have any way to compare them.

Atlantic Pest come out periodically to check our termite stations and is very friendly. They are cheaper than the local Sentricon vendor in Frederick, MD and are very friendly and helpful with any pest related questions.

Gentleman was very nice and through. Best of all no termites!!

Found Bedbugs in our daughter's room and did what we could do to eliminate the pests. However we needed some piece of mind and that's when I checked out Angie's List for a reputable exterminator. Decided on Atlantic Pest Control based on the reviews and work they had done for others with Bedbugs. Called the company and scheduled an appointment for two days later. Was given an appointment time range between 12-4pm. The technician, Phil, arrive around 12:15pm and listened to my account of the events leading up to his arrival. He was very patient and knowledgeable and proceded to tell me exactly what he was going to do. He inspected the bedrooms thoroughly and began the treatment which took about a half-hour. He then placed traps and sticky-pads to catch any subsequent bugs. Before leaving he gave me instructions on what we should do over the next hours and days. Overall the experience with Atlantic Pest Control was excellent and I would use them again if the need arises. The inspection and 1st treatment was $378 (which included the Angie's List 10% discount). Any additional treatments will be $125. To date we haven't seen anymore Bedbugs.

This was the company that did my termite inspection for my home prior to purchasing. I called them for the monthly pest control spraying. They came out same week as i called. Punctual. knowledgeable technician. So far no issues with the service. Would recommend them at this time to anyone who asks.

Inspector arrived a few minutes early, which was nice. Did a thorough inside and outside check for termites and wood-burrowing insects. Fortunately, he didn't find any. Although I don't need pest control services at this time, I'll definitely call Atlantic if I do.

Easy to set up appt. Got a discount for mentioning Angie's List. Tech arrived when promised.

We would definitely use this company again.

They show up, do their inspections, and call before every time they come.
