Jay was very responsive, met me at the house on short notice to provide a free estimate and was able to accommodate my need to have the work very quickly (before the new tenants moved in). I won't know how successful the fix is until we've had a few heavy rains, but I will update this review once I do know.

These guys are life savers. After calling multiple companies and dealing with way to many salesman I finally found someone Icould trust . So my neighbors basement floor is approximately 1ft higher then mine. I had water coming throughthe middle of the interior wall. Several companies came out to my house. They all wanted me to dig out my foundation and install a drainage system and sump pumps. Then jay showed from armored. He looked around in my basement for a bit. We were both scratching our heads as to how the wall could be leaking. Jay asked me how well I knew my neighbors. When I told him very well he asked if we could gain acces to there home. We went next door to inspect further. Within 2 minutes he found the problem. My neighbors condensation pump to her central air had failed. So behind the unit the water had been running down into my basement. Since my floor sits lower. At that moment I felt so much relief. I wanted to give him a huge hug. My neighbor fixed her problemthat day and no more water in my basement since. I highly recommend thiscompany to anyone looking for a honest inspectiin of yr wet basement.

Jay called me back within the hour after leaving a message requesting a quote. Was able to meet with me the next day and was quickly able to fully assess the issues, provide a solution and a fair, reasonable quote. He told me he would be able to get it done within the next 2 weeks (which was fine with me), but he got a crew out there just a couple days later and did all the work on Saturday and Sunday. They arrived punctually both days. Derrick and his crewed very friendly and polite and worked hard, fast, and well together. Derrick checked often with me while they were working to see if I had any questions and explained everything they were doing. They did all the required demo work to be able to access all the areas they needed to get to, including emptying a disgusting, moldy "bomb shelter" type of room under the front porch (I just purchased the property). It was a big job and I am shocked they were able to complete it all in just 2 days. An example of the amazing service: They originally trenched around an old disconnected heating oil tank, as he had discussed and agreed on. After speaking with a couple of the crew, I reconsidered and decided to remove the tank immediately. I hired another guy to take it away (free metal removal), but a couple of the guys jumped in to assist us with cutting it and carrying it out of the basement. This was way outside of their scope of work, but very much appreciated. They then went back and trenched against the wall where the tank had been removed from to be able to install the drain system around the perimeter, and then reconcreated the entire area. Also, I called Jay after they started working as asked how much to add an additional 80 feet or so of waterproofing liner beyond where we originally agreed. They did not charge me anything additional for all of these extra items. They really went above and beyond and it was very appearant that their main goal really was to make sure I was happy with the job they did. I renovate houses so I know I will need their services again at some point. I would never even consider using anyone else for any waterproofing needs. Thanks Jay!2 Wagner Way

Jay came out and inspected the basement thoroughly. After I told him where the leak he went out and use my house to run the water aginst my house. In about a half we could see the water coming in between the wall in a floor. While he was looking over the house he noticed the window and some water stains around it. He crawled under the deck ran the house by the window and within 10 min the window was leaking. When he was done he gave me a quote and to my surprise it was only 7845 with all the work that needed done. He beat the other 3 basement water proofing places and I was sold on it. Jay is completely hands on. And his crew of guys are not afraid to work. If you need great honest work with a sense of comfortably call armored basement waterproofing.

Completely blows my mind that Jay saved me $ 4200 . He is absolutely a stand up guy. Even after telling him the quotes from the other company's he did not try to sell me something that wasn't going to fix the problem. You couldn't ask for a better company to have in your corner

The crew arrived on time the day of the job and much to my amazement, they were finished the same day. These guys were professional and and very hard working. Even though my basement was ruined from previous water leaks they assured me I wouldn't have any worries after they were finished. Well they weren't kidding. I haven't had a single drop of water and my basement is finally getting used again. It feels great to walk in my basement and not have to anticipate water under my feet.

After his initial inspection of my basement, he mentioned a French drain and sump pump in one corner that could have cost around $3,000. Then we went outside and found that the real culprit was a clogged downspout that I thought I'd fixed weeks ago. In a matter of minutes he unclogged it and showed me how to avoid it clogging in the future. The cost was zero. After the heavy downpours in early July, the section of the basement that had been leaking water was completely dry. It takes an honest man to talk himself out of a $3,000 repair. If it ever becomes necessary, however, I know exactly who I'll call.

After getting an estimate for 16,000 dollars from Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing, I called these guys, Armored Basements. Jay came over and he recreated the problem, cut through my drywall, found the crack, and gave me options on how to fix the problem. One of those options included a 100 dollar trip to Lowe's and a hard weekend of digging to patch the crack. He didn't charge me a cent. Mid-Atlantic will try to sell you a complete renovation you do not need. Call these guys and they will tell it to you straight without the hard sell. It went very well and i was pleased. After numerous floods i contacted this business and not only was i extremely pleased with the timely attention to my problem, they were very professional. I was surprised at how fast the job was finished and completely satisfied. I would recommend them to anyone. They gave me a description of problem areas, explained every detail and i have not had any problems since. Sump pump works great!!

Everything went perfect. I recommend these guys to anyone who needs help with a wet basement. I know the one person I will be calling from here on out is armored basement waterproofing .

I had severe water issues with all the snow and rain we had received. I would walk down the stairs to find several inches of water throughout my basement. I contacted Jay Bengston. He was very professional and friendly. He walked me through the procedure and quoted a price which was reasonable compared to other waterproofing companies that were a lot more in price. Jay Bengston and his crew arrived on time at my house and completed the necessary work before I was done work. He called several times to ask questions and inform me about the job. I was shocked that he had completed in a day. He arranged to meet me at another time to discuss what he did and answer any questions I had. The work was done well and my basement has never leaked again. I would definitely recommend his work and his company!!

I have dealt with a lot of home improvement companies over the years and I have to say that I'm very glad to finally find a honest trust worthy company to deal with. Jay, Chris and all the staff that I had dealings with were friendly, kind and courteous. after a long wet winter I had extreme amounts of water in my basement that caused lots of damage and it was clearly visible by the damage that I needed the work done. Other companies had been in to a**** the situation they brought tape measure and clip board and after twenty minutes gave an estimate and when I had questions they threw around big words and bigger numbers, Jay actually took the time to try and discover the possible cause of the problem. He brought tools in and with permission removed some sheet rock and before long found the problem area then sat with us and answered all our questions and gave us some recommendations. we were very pleased. on the day the work was scheduled to start the crew arrived on time and ready to work the foreman (Chris) introduced himself and his crew and began work . If I had any question Chris was eager to make sure I knew exactly what was going on and how it worked. once the job was complete everything looked great I couldn't believe there wasn't a larger mess they cleaned up all the job related garbage. we still had to do some clean up after all they were jack hammering threw concrete but they put some kind of towel around the bottom of it and it kept some of the dust down. when they cleaned up they sprayed down the drive way packed up their belongings and Chris took me on a walk through and I was very pleased. jay and the guys at armored basement waterproofing did an excellent job and I would recommend them to every one I know.

We recently bought our first home and after the first good rainfall our basement floor was covered in water. Very frustrated and upset we began calling around to several waterproofing companies asking for quotes. We had 4 companies come out and look at the basement. The first 3 seemed like trained salesmen, giving us a basic sales pitch, just trying to snag a new contract and spent no more than 5 minutes in the basement looking at the actual problem. The 4th company was Armored Basement. Jay came out to see the basement and seemed very educated in waterproofing basements. He asked us a few questions about the history of the home, which of course we couldn’t answer having just bought the house. We have a cinderblock home, so Jay went to his truck to get some tools which would allow him to inspect the walls. He drilled a small hole in the wall (which he later filled in). He explained to us what was going on and showed us with a fiber optics camera that the water was still sitting in our lowest course of block. We had mentioned to him that the other companies had told us that the water was coming from hydrostatic pressure (whatever that is), not the walls. Just to check, Jay drilled another hole in the floor and used a small rod to test the soil under the floor, which was fairly dry. What we loved most about Armored Basement and Jay is that he never once asked us to sign a contract. He simple took our email address and said that he would send us a quote later that evening. We were very eager to get the work done so that we could get our basement back together and we knew that this was the company we wanted to go with so we asked Jay if we could get the quote before he left and set a date to have the work completed. Jay gave us the quote, set the date and explained in detail what work would be done. The job itself went just as Jay has explained to us. The crew was on time for the job and lead by his brother Chris. They covered all my belongings in the basement to avoid a mess for me to clean up later, however they did very good managing to keep the dust to a minimum. They worked all day (I think even through their lunch) to get the job done - installing drainage pipes, wall flashings, and a sump pump - ALL in just ONE day. I was amazed that the job was done so fast and clean. We have not had any water issues with our basement since the work was done. I would highly recommend Armored Basement to everyone looking for a water proofing company, in fact I have already passed their name and number on to a few of my neighbors.

Most honest company I've encountered as a homeowner of an old home that needs some extra love and care. Armored Basement Waterproofing sent Jay out to my house to look at the pre-existing crack that was previously repaired by the former home owner. With rain over the past couple years water had leaked through a 5 foot crack to the insulation and soaked the finished drywall to the point that when touched, a finger would sink into the drywall. Jay used the drainage system already in place and "finished" the job the previous home-owner had not. He removed and sawed off the injection points left behind and pinned up a full sheet of plastic against the basement wall tying into the drainage system. He charged me zero dollars because he could tell by the pictures I'd sent that the fix would be really easy (for him as a foundation expert and not for me as a non-expert). He stopped by on his way home on a Saturday with his daughter and they did the job in about 30 minutes. I will be using this company every single time I need waterproofing for basement issues. One Morning Last summer I woke up to a flooded basement due to a very old drainage system in my walkout and through out the basement leading to my sump pump. My entire carpet was ruined and the entire basement from one end to another was soaked. I used Armored Basement WaterProofing to fix the problem. Not only did I get a great price but the work, and customer service was very courteous and proffessional. It was such an emergency on my end that they actually worked on Fathers day to assist my needs. They replaced all the drainage going from my walk out into my basement and replaced the sump pump. They also replaced the pipes going from the sump pump out to the street. Since the work has been done I have not had one drop of water anywhere near my basement. There has been plenty of chances for my basement to flood with the amount of rain we have gotten in my area since they fixed it. If you are looking for someone to do quality work in your basement and don't want to over pay for it I highly recommend this company. I am in the Military and I pride myself on my honor. Going with these guys was a great decision and I am completely satisfied with the work and outcome of the project. If there is ever anything else I may need done in my basement in the future these guys will be the first ones I call.

This company was great to deal with from start to finish. I have used several waterproofing companies for some of my clients over the years. I tell you it is very hard to find a guy like Jay. He is the most honest contractor I have ever dealt with. He takes the time to find the problem before he gives me a solution. Two of my homes he found simple quick fix solutions where other SALESMEN wanted to charge me thousands of dollars to put French drains in. I love dealing with someone who has actually gotten their hands dirty doing the work. This shows me he really knows his field and is not just the typical salesmen. The crew that performed the work led by Chris who is jays brother. These guys are something else. Such a hard job and they make it look so easy. Not once during the job have I heard them complain. Chris runs a very tight ship. They did a great job at keeping the dust to a bear minimum which is always one of my biggest concerns after seeing some of the damage the other companies have caused in the past. I was surprised that something as simple as keeping a wet towel over the jackhammer tool could keep the dust down to almost nothing. Of course I always expect some clean up. I would recommend armored basement to everyone I know. I know they will be my only waterproofing company from here on out. When you find someone good you never let them go, and these guys are as good as it gets.

It went perfect. We were thoroughly pleased with them. The girl on the phone was very nice. Their inspector, Jay, went to the property and did a very thorough inspection. He even provided pictures from inside our basement walls. The I have nothing but good comments for them. I definitely recommend them.

The install went flawless. Everything they said they would do , they did. Very impressed with the crew. This family really knows there stuff. They went above and beyond. We have had many projects done around our house. This is by far the best experience with a contractor we have had. Very Courteous and professional . The cleaned up and hauled away all the job debris and left us with a DRY basement .
