Moved my son from home to college and these guys were very careful and handled the furniture with extra care. Wrapping was great and fragile pieces were handled very carefully. Very recommended from me.

I recently moved and hired American Relocation as a result. They came highly recommended from someone at work, and I decided to take the leap into hiring them. The service received was good, I feel they bypassed all my expectations when it came to getting the move done. The price given before the move took place was fair. When the move was completed, they honored the price which was originally discussed. I'm happy with how the move went, and I wouldn't second guess in hiring them again for future moves

These movers came highly recommended for a recent move we had. We literally had a few days to get out of our apartment, as we put this off to the very last minute. We called around in a panic, and they were the only movers willing to come out on such short notice. I feel these guys worked hard throughout the process and took extra precaution when it came to wrapping a few things that we were concerned about. The move took about five hours, we relocated only 20 minutes away. If I could give these guys a better rating, I would. Thank you all again!

They were able to help empty a massive storage unit. Years back, I moved a 4 bedroom home into a storage unit that needed to be moved into a new home. These movers were on top of things. They got the entire project completed the same day. Victor and the rest of the staff were awesome. I'll definitely be using their services again sometime in the future

My daughter needed to move for college, so we hired this company to do a move for us. The move was done without any issues, and this was the first time we hired professional movers to help. Both my daughter and I are extremely happy with how everything went. Everything was cost effective. I feel theyw ere both efficient and professional during the move. Thank you guys again

Great experience with American Relocation. I've used In& Out twice and they were great both times! They arrived on time and quickly got to work disassemble, wrapped the furniture, also I needed some extra boxes which they had in the truck for an extra cost because I didn't have enough boxes, they pack my stuff very quickly and efficient, nothing broken. Transportation/moving, loading/unloading everything perfect, Great job and good team Thank You

Absolutely terrible, scam of a company. Do not recommend at all

Terrible experience, truly. Me and my roommate moved from 1 townhouse to an apartment 7 miles apart. After providing an accurate inventory of items to be moved, American Relocation quoted us for 3 hours, with the reasonable expectation it may be closer to 4. What we didn't realize was that American Relocation clearly trains their workers to milk the clock to increase total rice. They will keep trying to talk to you, hang around the truck and talk to each other while the clock is ticking. Realizing the pace of the work, my roommate and I had to assist the workers for almost the entire job- there was no expectation that we would need to do this (quite literally the point of hiring movers). Even with us working tirelessly, the job ended up taking 8 hours costing over double the quoted price- completely outside of our budget! Not only were the movers extremely inefficient, but they forgot several items on the truck. It was a nightmare trying to track down the missing items. When we followed up with their office on the issues we faced, we expressed that we simply would like to have a reasonable reduction in the cost based on the services provided. We were met with an unresponsive team that led us to believe that they would "investigate" and provide us with a resolution (stated it would take 30 days to reach a resolution). We waited patiently, only to finally hear back after multiple follow-ups a month later that we would be receiving ZERO reimbursement. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing experience and I will not use them again. I tried to give customer service the benefit of the doubt that they would compensate us at least somewhat. However, their unresponsiveness and lack of accountability was so ridiculous that I thought a review was merited so that no one else falls victim to this company with no apparent professionalism.

HORRIBLE AND SHOTTY!! I spoke with Crystal at least 5 times going over schedule move times. Not once did she question and or ask for a detailed inventory. She scheduled my full pack and move for a total of 3 hours and 3 men and $145/hr. When the movers arrived they didn't have the right packing materials, told me there would be extra time added on due to the distance from the freight elevator to my unit, and that if they did do the full pack it would be at least an 8 hour but more likely a 10 hour full pack. That's at $145 per hrs after the first 3 hours are passed. Then there would be a charge for the time driving to my new condo. If they had provided the service quoted to me we would not had to sit in DC traffic. The contact person, Crystal, was useless. She blamed it all on my initial email. We spoke many times after her initial receipt and no clarification or details were requested. The truck was too small. They had to take stuff off the truck and ask me to move it! SMH..they had no packing supplies, few boxes, they used most of the ones I had kept from a previous move. The boxes aren't marked as to its content, there is so sticker tape number placed on each item for inventory/invoice purposes. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! A quote of $615 turned into over $1300 and I still had to pack,load and move the contents of my kitchen, dining room and curio cabinet. Also I had to take the next day off from work because it took me, a single 54 yrs old woman from 6pm to 653am to pack and load what they didn't do. I'm an open heart surgical nurse and taking a day off for such nonsense just doesn't seem proper. Work ethics and pride in one's job just doesn't seem to exist anymore. Such a shame. The pics are of how I found my 3 glass curio cabinet shelves...bubble wrapped and placed diagonally in a small box with one of my throw rugs and pillows for support. That's my box from a past move.

The entire experience of this move was very positive. Gina and Crystal were very knowledgeable and clear with all of the terms of the move. The hourly rate was very reasonable, all fees were upfront and in line with industry standards, the company provided some free packing materials and no extra charge for stairs. I was moved from a third floor two bedroom apartment into an already occupied single family home. Care was taken with every piece of furniture as they were wrapped in the provided blankets. I provided stretch wrap and the gentlemen expertly used it to protect my mattresses. The packing of the truck at the first location went very quickly considering the apartment was on the third floor and far away from the available parking. Once the truck arrived at my final location, unloading went smoothly. The movers put each piece of furniture and each box into the appropriate rooms, asking for direction with items that were un-marked. They navigated around items that were already in the house carefully and nothing was damaged. I don't know how they managed to get a heavy sleeper sofa into the basement, but they did, quickly and professionally.
