chimney sweep
+ -1 moreI was told service would cost around $80 and he charged me $400. The “inspection” was under a minute of the technician looking up the chimney from the fireplace, and for the cleaning he charged me for having a 3 story house (the back is 3, the front is 2, the chimney is only 2) but he never left the living room so I don’t know why the height of the house mattered. Overall the cleaning was ok, but nothing special, the technician was polite but charged me way more than expected, the inspection was lackluster, and the experience was bad. Also I can’t leave a google review and their current google reviews look like they were written by AI.

+ 0 moreIt went very well. Roger is the owner and is very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. His assistant and him were very cognizant of making sure they cleaned up any messes made. He was eager to show me and tell me about the work they were doing step-by-step. the chimney looks great, he left me with a bottle of extra chimney paint, he used the best quality prefabricated chinmey pipe, and I will be looking him up again in the future for cleaning.
Description of Work: A1 put in a prefabricated chimney through the cathedral ceiling in my living room so that I could burn and vent my newly purchased wood stove. Roger and his assistant cut the hole for the chimney to go through on the inside. Cut through the roof, installed the chimney, put new shingles around the new chimney, put together the chimney pipe and connected it all. They even stayed to help my light my first fire.

+ -1 moreThe company responded to a request for an estimate within five days. I found the estimate very reasonable and sent a 1/3 down payment for the work to begin. We had a spell of cold weather but within a week and a half the work was started and finished in a matter of a few days. The workers were professional, courteous and timely. The completed job was done as described. I have very high standards and am extremely pleased with this job. I would highly recommend this company. I believe the owner does a lot of the work himself so he's very invested in quality.
Description of Work: Company removed and hauled away my old chimney and built a new block chimney for my woodstove.

+ -1 moreI WAS NOT AROUND TO SEE THE WORK AS IT WAS BEING DONE. WHEN I INSPECTED THE SERVICE LATER, EVERYTHING REQUESTED WAS APPROPRIATELY CORRECTED AND THERE WAS NO MESS LEFT BEHIND.
Description of Work: I HAD A CHIMNEY SWEEP, HEARTH REPAIRED TO CLOSE IN A GAP AND, ALSO REPAIRED A BROKEN DOOR SEAL.
