Tim was punctual, polite and respectful. He explained exactly what he was doing and how long it would take. Overall, I was happy with the job and will use Shamrock again.

When we lived in Maryland, we used Tim on a regular basis. I think we first started with him in 2009 and continuously through 2012 until we moved briefly...and then picked right back up with him in 2013. Tim is great - he's honest, hard-working, and punctual. Beforehand, a carpet cleaning session would run us almost $300 and it was lackluster, poor, and the carpets still felt and looked dirty. Once we found Tim, we were always around the $100 range and because he would do such great work, I would be more than willing and happy to throw in an extra bit of money just for doing such a wonderful job. Our carpets, which were cream to begin with, were always a wee bit dirtier than average - two dogs and small children will definitely track in more dirt than anticipated. Each time, the carpets looked brand new. He even did a carpet repair after one of our dogs decided to dig indoors! Alas, the last time we used Tim was right before we sold our house - we had him cleaning the carpets and our couches. As always, he did such an amazing job and everything felt/looked clean and smelled great. When we went to closing, I gave Tim's contact information to the buyers and told them that he was by far the best person to clean carpets and would treat them well and know exactly what needed to be done and would never rip them off. I don't know if they ever used him, but I recommended him to all of our friends in Anne Arundel County. We live in VA now, and have had pretty crappy luck in finding a good carpet cleaning service. My husband and I lament that we haven't been able to find someone like Tim around here. He's good, folks.

Tim did a wonderful job on my carpets as always! This is the second time I have used his service and he is wonderful. Always answers any questions I had and was fast! He called me before he showed to let me know he was on his way which was great! Shamrock will be the only company cleaning my carpets!

We were fine with it. He also did the steps and did a good job on the carpets. We added the steps for $25, the carpet in the stairway. He was very accommodating. We stayed in the house while he did the carpeting and that worked out fine. Se, he was very accommodating.

Shamrock is the best! We continue to use Shamrock for our carpet cleaning. I last wrote a review in 2010, and since then continue to have nothing but great accolades for Shamrock. Tim is punctual, courteous, and a real gentleman. As I said in 2010, his pricing beats the competition, and he never tries to upsell extra products as has been my experience in the past. I find his circular machine technique to be superior to competitors truck hose water technique in that drying time takes hours less. Shamrock cleaned our carpets twice in 2014, and we will continue to use this company for many years to come. Thanks Tim!

This is my 2nd time using Shamrock Carpet Cleaning and Tim is AMAZING! I had to unexpectedly pack up and move to Texas last year for work and needed Tim to come in an work some quick magic as I prepared to rent my home. He was very pleasant and made sure to do a thorough walk-through with me so that I could point out problem areas that I wanted him to focus on and he did a fabulous job. This year, I called on Shamrock Carpet Cleaning again as I flew in to Maryland to check on my property earlier this month in preparation for a new tenant. I literally only had 2 business days in town to get my house cleaned and my carpets treated. I explained my situation to Tim and he really worked it so that he could do my home on the evening of Nov 3rd. He originally didn't have any openings for that evening as he had already committed to a larger job for earlier that day, but he came through anyway to do my home AND completed the necessary carpet stretching as well. I left Tim to do his work and he was cool with that so it would allow me to maximize my time to get other things done while in town. I will be using Shamrock Carpet Cleaning from now on. Mr. McKnight, owner/operator of Shamrock Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning has a website where it is very easy to schedule an appointment and I received an e-mail confirmation of the appointment. He showed up exactly on time, set up the equipment including a heavy duty drop cloth to protect my floors, and proceeded to clean the sofa and chair with very little fuss. He did a wonderful job for, what I believe, a very reasonable price. I will definitely use him again.

Very prompt call back each time I left messages and arrived a little before he said he would. Which is neither good or bad, but I'd certainly prefer really early to a little late. Very professional and got stains out of the carpet that I had tried twice before to get out with the rug doctor. I hate spending any more money than I have to on anything and I was reluctant to hire someone to clean the carpets when I could do it myself for a fraction of the cost. I don't regret having him come out a bit. All the stains came out and the carpet looks close to how it did when it was installed. I'll definitely use them again when our carpets get dirty again.

We have been in our home for 23 years now and have continually sought a reliable and reasonable carpet cleaner. We've had a variety of experiences in terms of quality, price and reliability. Some companies have delivered on quality: minor stains do not re-appear, waste fluids are safely removed, and the carpets dry in a reasonable time. Unfortunately when you contact them the second time the prices have sky-rocketed for the very same work. Other companies have done what initially appears to be a good job but when the carpets dry you see that minor stains are still there. Other companies have simply disappeared when you go to contact them again. We learned of Shamrock through Angie's List. Shamrock contacted us quickly and was quite flexible in arranging for the work. When the work date arrived, the technician arrived on time, was neat in uniform, polite and quite professional. We walked through the area to be covered and he explained all the work to be done. He was flexible in working with us to move a bulky piece of furniture around so that the entire bedroom carpet could be cleaned. We received shoe covers to go up and down our stairwells. The work was done quickly and effectively. All waste fluids were returned to the Shamrock truck. Shamrock was able to remove minor stains that other previous companies had not been able to remove. The carpets dried sooner than anticipated and when we checked in the bright sunlight of the next day there was no trace of any of the minor stains and dirt marks we had identified earlier. We had a very positive experience with Shamrock and will definitely use them again. They are a candidate for taking a place in our 'Service Specialists Hall of Fame' (i.e., favorite companies in our roller-deck to go to for plumbing, electrical, painting, cleaning, HVAC, home repair, landscaping, etc.).

Tim called to say he was running late due to bad weather and still got here shortly after his ETA. We walked around and looked at the job and he explained what he would do and expected results. He was done in under 2 hours, and even was able to apply Scotchguard that we asked about as an afterthought. The results were great. He removed several difficult stains in the carpet that we were ready to replace but decided to let a professional have a crack at. We had similar results on a 3 piece furniture set too. We were very happy with this service! Scheduled a couple weeks in advance and he showed up right on time. We have A LOT of carpet and Tim covered it all. He spent many hours at our house, making sure to pick up and clean as much surface area as he could. I could actually breath a lot better after he left, which was a great sign for a job well done. We also had upholstery cleaned, a sofa and couple of chairs. Tim did a great job there, too. He let me know he may not be able to get every spot out, which I already assumed to be the case. Regardless, everything looked great and he spent a lot of time doing what he could to deliver. Don't hesitate to hire Shamrock! Great service is in store!! Tim was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive and able to schedule upholstery cleaning for my sectional in a timely fashion. He was also very straightforward & polite. The sectional looks fantastic as well. I highly recommend his service!

On Cost: I called several carpet cleaning companies before I reached Shamrock, but had been unable to find one that would quote me the same price over the phone that they were advertising in their various coupons and specials. Shamrock was the only company that honored its posted special price without tacking on a ton of hidden costs for carpeted stairs and "long rooms". After much searching, Shamrock was by far the most reasonable price I could find, and I did not feel like I was being scammed. On Service: From booking all the way through the appointment, Shamrock was professional and courteous. Our appointment was first thing in the morning on the Tuesday after a holiday weekend and Tim arrived right on time and got right to work. He even gave us little plastic footies so that we could walk around without worrying about messing up the freshly cleaned carpet! About two hours later, just as he had estimated, he was on his way out. Our carpets looked and smelled great, and Tim charged exactly what he had quoted. I would definitely recommend and hire again!

Tim the owner/operator was amazing. He could not have been more professional or competent. Plus he was a pleasure to deal with. He removed spots that I had long given up on and extended the life of my carpets. I can not recommend him highly enough. If you are looking to have your carpets cleaned, look no further. He is a gem!
