Paul Schwartz Landscaping

The crew was hard working and knew their stuff - they spent one and a half days working in the middle of a heat wave, and made my place look pristine! The entire experience was a pleasure and I hope to have Mr. Schwartz and his crew back here as soon as possible.

We have hired Paul Schwartz landscaping to do landscaping in our yard twice to date. They basically re-landscaped the yard after two years of DIY landscaping (i.e. neglect), making it look professional again. They cleared out and weeded many (at least a dozen, some very large) beds and applied mulch, and weeded other areas of the property. They removed some plants including a couple of smaller trees, and planted a small handful of new plants. They pruned several plants including 20-30' of holly and another 30' of taller shrub. They had a crew of 4-6 workers on site for the better part of a week. We are very happy with the service and the price and will hire them again.

I was so pleased with Paul's 2014 removal of the native and tenacious May Apple that was infringing on my front yard and the replacement of the area with lush grass and pachysandra in the Spring of 2014, that I wanted to plan for more landscaping in 2015. Paul did an estimate for me so that I could financially plan for the Spring of 2015 and establish some foundation plantings. Paul honored his 2014 estimate to the dollar.. Paul arrived as agreed upon and set about the direction of his crew and completion of the planting and stone placement within a two hour time frame. Most impressive is the care and detail of Paul's work. He completely amended the soil where the Holly Tree was planted and completed the job with attractive mulching that matched the black mulch in the rest of the foundation bed. He went about the rock work on the other side of the house by installing barrier fabric to prevent weed growth and then directed the crew to establish a very attractive rock layer of 3-5" River Rock. The rocks were placed and not just randomly thrown down. The purpose of the rock was to protect two ground level windows from the soil and mulch debris that resulted in dust and mud continuously. battering the windows. So, in fact, the lay-down of rock was to create a two-foot wide barrier against the foundation and adjacent to other short foundation plantings on the other side of the rock.. It has been even more effective than I imagined. I have had multiple compliments from neighbors and recent hard rains have allowed clean windows!! Several days after the work was completed, I decided that if the rock design which was squared to match the straight foundation, more closely followed the contour of the short curved retaining wall within which they were placed, it would please me more. I called Paul and without hesitation he agreed to send his crew to modify the outline of the stone as I desired. I am absolutely thrilled and pleased with the work and the customer-oriented attitude of Paul Schwartz Landscaping and hope that I will have reason to use them in the future. Paul always leaves a job saying: "if you are not 100% pleased, need something else done or some modification, do not hesitate to call me." These are not just words, Paul stands by his work!

Arrived for estimate in a timely manner. Worked with us on the design. His crew was professional and precise. Cleaned up after each day and we are extremely happy.

I was very pleased with him and will be hiring him in Spring to do the work we talked about. He's very experienced. He has ideas that he's actually worked with. He understands how and why things grow. It's not just a landscaping business to make things look good. He's going to give you a lot of guidance about how to do things, so that you will be successful with your lawn. He's very attentive, so that when you're talking to him, he's really paying attention to what you're saying. He's a small business and it took him awhile to get to me. He has to apportion his time very carefully, and I'm not even close to him. I'm about 19 miles away. He's got to get his crew and his trucks here, and he manages it very well.

They did a great job. 4 years later the garden is lush and beautiful.

I highly recommend Paul and wouldn't hesitate to work with him again. He was personable and professional. He and his crew were focused and heads down for the duration of the project. At different points he checked in to ensure my satisfaction. Cleaned up work area and street in front of home as well, which was nice because they hauled in dirt for my project. They brought in dirt to raise the grade and slope away from the home. They also leveled out areas where rain water pools, then seeded grass. Extended several downspouts to carry rain water away from the home. All pro-active efforts to avoid future water problems. While I didn't take advantage of his experience with plants and design, the work he completed was, I believe, an important first step when beautifying a home.

Paul was thorough, and really listened to what I wanted. He provided me with several plans, which I really like. He stood behind his work, and was more willing to replace any of the specimen plant that died.

WOW - an unbelievable job. Jaw dropping... this was a last minute job before my son's graduation party, and realized 1/2 the yard was beautiful - redone previous year, 1/2 was a mess. Asked Paul with in 1 week of the party. people could not believe the change in the total look of the front and back. We kept saying why didn't we do this years ago. The employees are very capable, professional, hard working. Paul called us to follow up on our satisfaction with the work.

Paul is very professional, his workers are professional, friendly. He was timely in getting us an estimate, answered all our questions (we had not used a landscaper before and we're using him in preparation of selling our home). His team did great work, the results were excellent, made such a difference in the look of our outside, and definitely helped us sell our house. We did this about 8 months before we actually sold the house, and did not lose one plant. THANK YOU PAUL and team! He does not hire illegal immigrants, which i greatly appreciate; he does not take advantage of people - his crew or customers. We totally respect, like and trust Paul and team.

We have used Paul Schwartz' company multiple times at two different homes. We got a fair price, a great product, and great service. We used him first for a small project and he and his team did such an excellent job we called him for our 'big' project when we moved. He consistently has the same team of men over the years we've worked with him. They are all very professional, hard-working, and polite. Also important to us is that he does not hire illegal immigrants, important to me, as I don't want to work with a company that is paying substandard wages and taking advantage of people. We had no worries about the quality or timing. He delivered what was promised and more. He made a point of stopping by the site to supervise over the course of the job (he has multiple teams). He is extremely knowledgeable about plants, trees. He spent as much time as needed to help us determine the best landscaping for home, followed afterward on our satisfaction, replaced one dead shrub a year later. He runs a fantastic business, and is so easy to work with.

a GREAT job, the price was substantionally under his estimate. we thought he made a mistake, and told him he had quoted $400, are you sure this is correct. he responded that it had not taken the time he'd anticipated. He could so easily have charged us the full price (i actually thought he was underpriced in the first place). his team was very professional, hard workers. He was on time, saved as many plants as possible, relocating them for us.

GREAT work and professional job. We'd used Paul and his team before with much smaller jobs. The job was quality work, a fair price, and he was excellent with design. We had no experience in how to design and he did an awesome job, totally changed (for the positive) the look of our entire back yard area. He was very timely, he and his team worked hard, and were so professional. well worth every penny spent plus more. Turned our back yard went from overgrown mess to literally feeling like a resort.

Paul and his team installed a landscape for us according to a plan from another designer. The installation included 3 trees, approximately 15 shrubs and numerous perennials and ground covers. Before they could do the work they graded, added soil, and completed a number of treatments on the area to kill thistle and other weeds that were growing. They did the installation during one of the hottest weeks of the year and right before we went on vacation. While we were on vacation the weather was incredibly hot and dry. Paul's team came by regularly while we were gone to ensure that the plantings were watered. Many of the trees and shrubs they installed were larger and more mature than those specified in other quotes. The work was done quickly and looks beautiful. We've received many compliments from our neighbors and couldn't be happier with the work and how beautiful the yard looks.

Price charged was same the original bids. Xtras like trimming grasses were a surprise.

His work has always been excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. He does what he says when he says he will do it; very reliable.

Not good. They kept saying they would appear the following week (and week after that, and so on), but after two months I had to cancel the order.

As indicated above did an excellent job. Also, helped with a few additional reques not on the work proposal.

This is the second time I used Paul Schwartz Landscaping, and I have been very pleased each time. Paul was flexible about arranging a convenient time since I wanted to be at home the day the work was done. They arrived on time, worked hard, cleaned up after themselves, and made sure I was pleased before they left. I will certainly use him again when my bushes and trees need trimming.

Paul and I designed the shape and size of the garden and the types of plants to be used. I used all his selections and they proved to be quite lovely in color selection and textures. He also installed my new mailbox in the garden.
