Description of Work: Curry Carpentry rebuilt our bay window with plastic wood and replaced rotted wood in other locations around our house. Glen shared there was no insulation around the bay windows and quickly got insulation and did the job right. In addition, all new wood was primed and painted. I was very pleased with the excellent craftsmanship, professionalism, and good communication throughout the job.

When he was finished, the doors were beautiful and looked like they had always been there. He matched all of the woodwork perfectly and meticulously matched the existing paint color of the walls that needed repair. An excellent craftsman!
Description of Work: He created a double door to a room off of our living room to be used as a bedroom.

First I should say that Glen built a bathroom for me last summer that is fantastic. When I had a problem with my shower pan (manufacturer issue, not installation issue), Glen was right there last week to help me fix it. My experience with him was so positive last time that I couldn't imagine someone else doing this next project. Over Christmas and New Year, he built the large cabinet per my architect's specifications, while I was out of the country. He began installation upon my return, and did the ceiling at the same time since the cabinet went to the ceiling and the two had to meet. I am thrilled with the work, there were no issues at all. I did have a water leak due to the bathroom shower above leaking and Glen did all he could to work with the tile guy and investigate the problem. I decided to have some new lighting installed around the ceiling panels, since the old lighting didn't line up and looked odd with the new ceiling, and Glen just adjusted his schedule with no problem to work with the electrician. Glen is professional, tidy, shows up when he says he will and is accurate in his estimates. He is not cheap but he does truly excellent work. I love my cabinetry and my ceiling. Every little detail has been considered and carefully made. Note that he did the entire construction right next to my open plan kitchen and *still* managed to keep all the dust inside his own work zone. If you've had any reno work done on your home, you know that's kind of amazing.
Description of Work: Built a large wine storage and bookshelf unit for my morning room, and installed a cofferred ceiling.

It went very well. I highly recommend him!
Description of Work: Glen Curry came out to a new OLD house that I had just bought in 2012 and gave me estimates for drywall and woodworking. The price was a little high for me so he gave me the name of another company that could fit my financial needs. Glen is first class. When I built a house in 2003 he worked for my builder and did excellent work. He worked from a photograph I had found of a large fireplace mantel and duplicated it beautifully. In my opinion, he is a master carpenter.

I could not be happier with Glenn's work and his crew. I'm trying to think of a way I could be happier, but I can't come up with anything. Glenn does what he says he's going to, when he says he will, and he does it in a professional and cheerful way. His technical skills are excellent, he is thoughtful and careful, and he is very clear about setting expectations and also meeting them. He was very careful of my brand-new home, wrapping the entire bannister in soft foam, segregating work areas by zip-up plastic wall dividers, and putting padding and cardboard down on my wooden floors. He kept the job site very clean, always got rid of garbage right away and vacuumed most evenings before leaving the site. He is precise about his work and had more than one way to approach a given problem. He did not baulk when I asked him to custom-mix wall paint for me - just asked me to write what I wanted on the tops of the paint cans. The job was done on budget and when we found we had a deadline, he worked all weekend to meet that deadline. What more could anyone ask? The job was to gut and remodel my builder-grade master bathroom in a brand-new house. My builder refused to make any changes and I hated what they were doing, so I resolved to rebuild it afterward. I had a few contractors lined up but one flaked out, the other wanted $12,000 more than I was usually quoted, and finally there was Glenn. He knew a good plumber, a good electrician and a good tile man, each of whom I paid separately from the number listed above. Total job cost was probably $21,000 for the labor, only slightly above average from the estimate I was hearing from the average contractor, and far below the high quote (that was $30K). I bought all new fixtures, plumbing, a tub and shower, marble elements, a heated floor, towel warmer, vanity and light fixtures for a sumptuous master bath. It looks beautifully finished now, and very expensive. Most of the pieces were custom-made and it was not immediately apparent how best to install them, meaning that the crew had to read the instruction sheets (gasp). And they did read them without hesitation! We had some slow-downs because suppliers were delayed even further out than originally estimated, but the crew didn't desert me and came back ASAP when all the elements were finally present for installation. Everything is working well and I know if it is not, for any reason, Glenn will stand behind his work. He is an experienced professional and so are all of his crew. You won't be sorry if you hire him. I am grateful I did!
Description of Work: Glenn Curry coordinated and did framing, drywall and carpentry for a complete bathroom remodel. He also did three-piece crown moldings in three different rooms (bathroom, w/c and master bedroom).

We have used Glenn Curry many times in the past year and he is our first choice in home repair. He came and inspected the windows and then gave us the estimate. The work was done quickly, efficiently and with little disturbance to our daily routine. The work site was immaculate after the windows were replaced and the job improved the appearance of our basement 100%. I cannot say enough about Glenn, he is a rare find.
Description of Work: After a home inspection we needed to have 3 old basement windows replaced. They were original to the house and over the years no longer opened.

Having used Curry Carpentry before and being so pleased with the work we contracted Glenn Curry to remove and replace a large window in our living room. His set up was meticulous both inside and out. He prepped the inside by totally closing it off with drop cloths so there was no dust or disturbance to our furniture or floors. Outside he used scaffolding to avoid damaging the shrubs and for easy access. The trim he used was a perfect match to the rest of our house and it was shackled and primed, ready to paint when the job was complete. We are very happy with the results.

Glenn arrived promptly and worked all day Friday with just a short lunch break. He was unobtrusive, professional, and showed great attention to detail. He returned the following Monday to finish the work, again, on time and he worked non- stop until the job was finished. He left the room spotless and looking like new. Glenn was everything we wanted in a carpenter and so much more. We will use him in the future and would gladly recommend him to family and friends.
Description of Work: Glenn Curry removed and replaced all the trim in a bedroom to include the casing, stool and center molding from the window, repaired walls, and fixed the built-in drawers.

We had extremely tight cabinet spacing; the original measurement with the pantry in place was difficult, so we ended up with 172and quot; of cabinets in a 171-1/2and quot; wall space, Glenn shaved the facing down on several of the cabinets so they fit perfectly from wall to wall with every cabinet join looking perfect. We had special cabinet spacing around the stove so that the corner base door would not hit the stove. We had to have a door frame molding cut down about 1/4and quot; to fit the cabinets. My wife wanted the crown molding to go from cabinet to flush with the ceiling. At one spot in the center, the ceiling bowed down about 1/2and quot; -- Glenn trimmed the molding so perfectly that no one even knows there was an issue unless I point it out to them carefully. The crown molding joins had typical corners and also 45degree corners. The joins are perfect -- no visible gaps anywhere. The alignment of the base cabinets was perfect -- the countertop people who came out to install the countertop were amazed that the base cabinet tops were so level that they did not need any shims -- the counter laid perfectly on them. As evidence of his attention to detail, I noted that all the cabinet doors were adjusted perfectly. Pairs of doors matched vertically, had an even gap from top to bottom and when I put a level on them, they were perfectly level. That same detail was shown in all of his work. He closed off the kitchen well, so there was minimal dust in the rest of the house. Each night he cleaned up his work before leaving. He is, in my opinion, an honest man of high integrity who loves his work and loves doing a good job.During all the work, Glenn was extremely pleasant to work with. He was willing to discuss alternatives for the various unexpected issues that came up and shared the design decisions willingly. He was also willing to explain the implications of the various solutions -- I learned a lot listening to him. We worked together regarding schedule -- he worked other jobs while working to our delivery schedules for the cabinets and countertop. When the rotting around the house base was revealed (from a job he was not involved with), he was very responsive to our emergency, even coming out on Sunday to do the work so that the construction on the outside of the house could proceed without delay. I wish I could post pictures of his woodwork on the cabinets -- I'd love to share how perfect they are (and I am a picky person :-) ).
Description of Work: Glenn provided complete kitchen tear out down to subflooring, and full kitchen cabinet installtion. Tear out included removing a pantry and taking flooring down to subfloor. Because of cabinet delivery delays and side issues that came up (see below) the entire job was done over a 2-month period -- with Glenn working around our schedule issues. Structural work included clearing back supports where the pantry had been, extending a wall 6" along a header, replacing rotted subflooring, and straightening ceiling joists that had warped and were out of alignment. Cabinet installation included about 30 feet of base cabinetry and about 25 feet of wall cabinets. There was a penisula so some of the wall cabinets were actually hanging cabinets. During all of this, we were having pavers installed outside -- when the existing entrance and back patio were removed, rotting around the base of the house was revealed. We took Glenn off the kitchen and had him repair all the base framework of the house -- removing the rotted pieces, installing new treated timber, properly caulking the area and adding flashing. About 60' of base foundation wood was repaired -- each area having its own issues and needing creative solutions which Glenn devised and executed perfectly -- my house's foundation is solid again. Glenn also designed and installed a mounting for a new reverse osmosis system that is mounted near the ceiling in the basement (it includes a 14 gallon tank -- about 150 lbs),
