Stewart Lawn & Landscaping

Extremely professional, punctual and did beautiful work. We really enjoyed working with Stewart Landscaping and will use them again. I highly recommend their services.

The installation appeared to go ok. The project manager, Brad, was excellent and responsive (he quit shortly thereafter). The original installation of the garden was not as I had requested, and the partially redid it. While the grass looked good initially, we began having problems during the summer months. The irrigation system was improperly installed and was not irrigating appropriately. Two large areas were not getting any water, while others were soaked. The water sensor was not working and so it still watered even during the rain. Even after they came to 'adjust' it, is was still not working properly. We had to hire another service to come repair their work. We also realized they had not added adequate soil to the old surface and so portions of the new grass did not 'take' well. We prepaid for a full season of lawn and bed care with Stewart, assuming they would have a vested interest in taking care of the lawn they installed. They had promised us Thursday service when the service was 'sold' to us, but never came on Thursday. They cut late Friday after we were back home, or early Friday morning when the grass was wet, and therefore, shredded the new grass. They NEVER provided any bed service although we had prepaid for it, and while they promised to do it 'next week', they never did. Finally they stopped responding to me completely. We fired them and hired a new lawn service. When I tried to get my money back for the rest of the prepaid season, they did not return it after multiple requests. Finally I sent them a registered letter threatening a lawsuit and they sent me the check. Their customer service is HORRIBLE and they are not trustworthy. They don't provide a warranty on their work. I would not recommend them to anyone.

They blew the other 2 quotes we got out of the water. They automatically applied the coupon before we had even asked and they were very knowledgable about what would work while helping us be cost conscience. The yard blew me and my husband away, they designed some stone areas and walls which was more than we could have pictured in a really, really great way. It looks amazing and we saved significantly over what other companies quoted us because they were aware of plant cost when putting the proposal together. Plan to call them back out in the fall for additional trees along the perimeter. The only little piece I would say is there were to call before they came out and they did not. Not a big deal, but my car in the driveway was covered in dust from the work, but I was amazed that they worked around it without a scratch on it and just left the dust. They cleaned up everything they had out on their final day of work, no garbage or random yard clippings left. Recommend them 100%. Great company, great staff. Very responsive, incredible value. We felt valued even at the quote stage when others simply ignored our requests for a quote.

They first removed the old concrete patio and then mapped out the blue stone. Lastly they replaced the steps with custom stone steps. All was done on time and on budget.

They did a pretty good job. I was happy with not having to do the mulching myself. There was a little bit of uncertainty with this company because when I called them, they sent someone out to look at my yard. I asked them about an Angie’s List Big Deal. The guy told me they didn’t have a coupon, but I checked online and I saw one. I still feel that I got a good price on the work though. I will probably use them again next year. They were easy to work with. For the quality of work and price, I am satisfied.

The work went rather well but the customer service was incredibly lacking. It was probably about a month and a half after I purchased the deal that it was finally completed and I think it took them two or three days to do. As far as how the work goes and how it turned out was great, I had no problems with that. The billing, trying to get demos or views of what we could possibly be doing, seeing what the tiles would look like and just getting in contact with the guys that were working on the project was a bit rough.

Removed flowers as well as weeds. Mulch was spread considerably thinner than promised. Labor force could not speak English.

The crew completed the work that we agreed upon in timely way.

They were fast, efficient and accurate. The design they presented, they produced. The scheduling with them was great. They started and finished the job on time. The estimate was very accurate as well. I would highly recommend them.

Stewart's were one of many companies I had come out and quote for this project. Although they were not the cheapest I felt they were more professional. They were the only company to provide drawings and images of the proposed work. They were able to adapt to my budget. The work started on time and the majority of the work was complete within a week. The guys were very friendly and professional and did a really nice job of the patio area and retaining walls. The fence was up within two visits. There were some minor glitches, which Stewart's were able to fix/accommodate for, with no additional cost to me. The finishing touches have taken a bit longer to finalize and there is still some work that needs to be done but very minor things. All in all, I am pleased with the work. My feedback to them was that it would have been nice to have information provided on how to care for the new plants and trees. I am still waiting on a finalized invoice.

He was courteous. I wanted an estimate beyond the big deal and it took several weeks to get back to me.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was called a complete landscaping makeover which was kind of deceiving. They did an okay job in doing the work. It was supposed to be 4 or 5 man hours with $400 or $500 worth of plants. I didn't want any of the plants, I just wanted more man hours because I thought it would look like a true landscaping makeover if they could do the yard well with extra man hours. The guy came to give me a quote and he gave me 4 more man hours instead of plants which kind of equated to $100 per hour. I didn't think I was getting that great of a deal. They said they would get a lot done. There was still a lot more to be done. Every weed or vine they trimmed, they left on the ground. They didn't have a shredder or anything like that.

The crew showed up just a bit late due to a detour in our area. Other than that everything went perfectly. I asked them to put the top soil layer aside so that I could save it and they did so. We had an old well under the site and decided to fill it with the soil that they had removed, but only after they had already hauled that soil out near their truck. But they were very nice about bringing enough of it back to fill the well, although it probably slowed down the job. Rafael was the supervisor of the job and he was very knowledgeable about shaping the patio for runoff, etc. I was concerned about their big truck interfering with neighborhood parking but he was very nice about moving it. The two workers, Alberto and Julio, worked tirelessly and couldn't have been nicer. Another nice guy (maybe Eric?) showed up with the pavers just when they were needed and our original salesman (maybe Jason?) came by to see that we were happy. And we are! Very happy! I think that they took as much care with our little patio as they would have with a much bigger job. I can highly recommend Stewart's Landscaping.

The service provided by Stewart Lawn & Landscaping was okay. The service itself was good. There was some concerns I had afterwards. Somebody came out to look at it and then nobody contacted me about it again. That's partly my fault, for not following up, but they didn't follow up with me either about it.

They were very good about scheduling the work to fit in with my schedule. If I had not been there when they came to do the work, they would have only put down half the needed mulch. When I pointed out the mistake to their men, a phone call was made and everything was straightened out. They then did a nice job.

The initial appointment for the estimate was set up and went fine. Then it took nearly two weeks and three phone calls from me to find out what the estimate actually was. They said they were having issues matching to the pavers that were already installed. That may or may not be true (as these are a very common color and size), but a follow up phone call within a week after the original estimate explaining what was happening would have been the professional thing to do. Finally after accepting the estimate, I set the installation appointment up. Again I had to call twice to find the person who handles the appointments. The earliest time for installation was 6 weeks out, which during the summer I understand. A week prior to the installation appointment I went out to check the mail and two trucks from the landscaping company pulled up to my home. I asked if there was a problem and they said "no, they were here to install the pavers". I said that the appointment was for the following week, but that if there were ready to go I guess they could start. I just happened to be home to allow them in the backyard. Might have been different if they had shown up later in the day as I had other engagements to attend to. The work was completed as promised in two days. However they were short some of the Perma-sand that fills the gaps in between the pavers and said they would be back. A couple of days went by and no phone call or arrival of the workmen. So I called again and left a message to find out when they would be back. The next day (with no call) a workman showed up and completed the job. The completed job was very well done. I just have an issue with the main office's lack of client communication. They were extremely competitive on pricing (Angie's List deal) and I would consider using them again albeit knowing that I need to be on top of the lines of communication.

We had a lot of problem with scheduling and things like that, but the end result was good.

Before purchasing this Big Deal I called Stewart Landscaping and requested an estimate. I was up front and told them I would be purchasing the Big Deal. The lady at Stewart Landscaping was ok with this procedure. When the estimator arrived I told him the same thing. I received the estimate on time and the deal should have reduced the price by $1,399. That is when I was told that the price given to me was not the full price but a discounted price. Stewart Landscaping told me the estimator had never estimated one of the Big Deals before. After running all the numbers I feel I saved a little over $500 with the purchase of the Big Deal. It is very hard to estimate since there was other work completed in addition to the paver work and the walkway design was a little bit fancier than a straight paver install. The work was scheduled for July 1st and Stewart Landscaping was right on time. After working with the estimator we made the 1/2 circle in front of the door wider that he originally estimated. The work took a day and a half to complete. The work crew was very hard working and did a quality job. I asked if they would put an inch and a half conduit, I provided, under the pavers for future electric cable and it was not a problem. The work is very dusty with all the cutting that needed to happen but the clean up was easy. Before leaving the job site the installation crew cleaned up everything and planted grass seed in the bare areas from the paver install. I will also add that the crew cleaned up after themselves on the first night knowing they would be back first thing in the AM the next day. The bottom line is I was disappointed that Stewart Landscaping did not fully understand what I needed to have from them price wise from the beginning. However the final results were worth working with them on the project. I felt there was value in the Big Deal with the final price. The discounted price was not all that bad and beat two other estimates by over $800. I will use them again to do another sidewalk in the future.

They came out and dug trenches in my yard, which is to be expected. This took 2-3 days because of rain. They came back out several times. In the process, they cut my power lines. They also cut the line to my pool which then filled with algae because my filter could not run. It took them 4 days to return to resolve this. When we had a second electrician come back, he noticed that they installed a box that is not even weatherproof. They subcontracted a plumber to install a tank with back flow prevention. The tank is gushing water out, still. When they installed the sprinkler heads, some were broken, they are also not placed in the correct directions resulting in water shooting onto my concrete, the tree, and my house. We were quoted over $3,000 , they did not give us the $250 discount that they offered us. I have not been provided a plan of the layout of my irrigation system. The contract that I was given was a short 2 paragraph word document. When I contacted Austin, he acted like he did not remember me and said he was confused about the situation. They forgot to leave the key to the heads of the sprinklers to adjust them. Did not explain anything about the water sensor on the roof. He has not even shown me how to winterize my system. The woman who answers the phone, Michelle, is awful! She is very rude and unprofessional. I would never recommend them to anyone!

They did what I asked, but certainly no more. The guy in charge spent most of his time working up an estimate for removal of some potential problem trees. There were some branches that I would have liked taken down but he did not bring climbing equipment so that wasn't possible. They left behind some large pieces that I would have liked taken away and left a pile of sawdust in the driveway that I had to low away.

Stewart Lawn & Landscaping have been great. Although I've had a couple of issues, when I called, they came right out. Normally, everything works great and I'm very happy with them.

It was a very good experience. I was really impressed with how neat and how good they were. It looked a lot better than I would have done. It looked a lot better than my neighbor's mulch because they didn't have theirs professionally spread. I was happy and my wife was happy with that experience. The pricing was right. They were backed up and when they were ready to do it, I wasn't ready because I had some preliminary work to be done so it was kinda delayed from the original purchase. They let me know that they were backed up and that I did not have to be here for them to spread the mulch. I thought they did a very fine job.

They were good. The price depends upon what they do and it is from $45-$300 depending upon whether they plan plants or mulching or spray for bugs. The experience has been fantastic. They do what they say they are going to do and they are here when they say they will be here.

Went fine... Landscapers were very nice and professional... Only hiccup was that was I did not get as much advanced notice as I would've liked and when I was given a time they showed up earlier than that time... Fortunately i didn't arrive back home too much later from an earlier appointment than they did...Only a concern for me b/c I like to be home when work is done... inside or out... Just a quirk on my part... But all's well that ends well ;-)
