I'd like to take a few minutes to describe my first (and last) experience working with Jonathan to give his future potential customers a fair warning about his work ethic. We hired Jonathan and his helper to demo one of our investment properties. We negotiated a price and the next day, when Jonathan and his helper finally arrived 2.5 HOURS LATE, we did a walk-through of the house to point things out and he got started. We told him we were working on the final floor plan changes and we might have 1 or 2 additional requests and he said ok. The first conflict occurred when, the next morning, we asked him to take down 1 more wall and the connecting closet. He initially refused. We had to get his business "partner" Juan involved and he grudgingly agreed to take it down. The second conflict occurred when we had the dumpster delivered at 9am on the second day of Demo (rescheduled from the day before) and he told us he wasn't going to take the demo'd materials out of the house into the dumpster. (What?! Seriously?!). Again, we had to get his business "partner" Juan involved to mediate, and he reluctantly agreed to throw the demo'd materials in the dumpster. Third conflict- I specifically told Jonathan to take the cabinets off the wall and set them aside because I was selling them. I also told him I was selling every appliance so not to trash them. When I arrived at the house the next day to sell the appliances, the dishwasher, the stove, and the brand new microwave were GONE and I had to refund the buyers money. I believe Jonathan stole these appliances because they were in good condition. He also trashed the set of cabinets that I was planning to sell for $300. I walked around the house taking 10+ pictures of things that we asked Jonathan to remove but he didn't. We sent the pictures to him but he didn't care to respond. It's clear from our 2-day experience with Jonathan that he has no regard for customer satisfaction or following directions and he is looking to get away with whatever shortcuts he can take. Not to mention the dishonesty of stealing my kitchen appliances. We are just very glad to learn about his poor work ethic early on so we didn't make the mistake of hiring him for more important jobs such as remodeling the house.
