A little rough around the edges with customers. But, does a very professional and magnificent job and work.

Mr. Pulley did a fantastic job refinishing my heirloom buffet. He responded immediately to my job and communication was excellent. I am very happy with it and will contact him with any refinishing needs I have in the future.

I had a 1960’s 4-piece bedroom set in bad need of refinishing. It was quality furniture and I didn’t want to donate it just to buy new furniture of less quality. Mr. Pulley’s price was a bit high, BUT he picked up the furniture, did an absolutely gorgeous job on the refinish, and then delivered the furniture back to me. It was worth the price.

He does great work, beautiful work. seldom that I give a review but Rudolph is an exemption. I couldn't say enough good thing about him. Incredible work, very experienced refinisher.

The work was perfectly fine. The quality of the finished product was great.

The sofa: he took a few stitches and then glued the rest---the glue showed, and I was not happy--so he painted it with red paint. He should have stitched the whole thing---on 2 cushions that had leather scratches from dog, he painted with red paint. When you sat on the sofa, the paint cracked off, and it got on your hands and clothes. He told me to cover it. I said if he couldn't do the job, he shouldn't have taken it---and he said he did the best he could. But it is terrible---the paint is shiny and the leather is not on the rest of the sofa. On one piece of furniture he fixed it fine, but he said it was $250.00 and I said that was too much before he did the work. So he said $200.00. When he brought back the piece he said it is $250.00 because it took him more time and he changed the price on the original estimate. On the third piece, I did not tell him to fix the scratches, I would think about the price; and he came back to fix it when I wasn't there. My husband let him in and let him fix it, my husband thought he thought I said ok. So he paid him. As to the sofa-, he said he would refund $150.00. He did not and it is 2-1/2 weeks later. I used him although he was $100.00 more than Guardsman because he was local.

He did an excellent job and did it quickly. It looks great.

Mr Pulley answered the phone the first time I called. He said he could be over to our house the next day to give an estimate and pick up furniture if we wanted him to do it. He arrived when he said he would. After giving my wife estimate and explaining what he would do, my wife decided to have him refinish table and chairs. He also let us come to his home and see the finish after he stained the table and painted the chairs. He finished the project on time as promised. We are very happy with the finish on the table and chairs. He did an excellent job matching the table top stain to the kitchen cabinets. He also arranged to have glass top cut to fit the top of the round table. Overhaul he did an excellent job and delivered it on time!

I had a wonderful experience with this contractor. He was responsive, punctual, and he did an excellent job with the repair of our dining room table pedestal and one of our dining room chairs. Given that he both picked up and delivered the repaired pieces, I thought his price was fair. And he returned the repaired items exactly when he predicted he would -- in less than a week. Overall, two thumbs up!

Rudolph Pulley stripped, cleaned and refinished my parents' 90 year old oak storage cabinet. Mr. Pulley was professional (arrived on time, delivered when promised and treated us respectfully at all times). He has been working with wood for 50 years and clearly loves the work. He was so proud of the completed project. He thoroughly cleaned the wood and was meticulously in re-staining. The furniture is old and he took special care to safeguard the original glass & locks and even found a replacement mirror. I highly recommend Rudolph Pulley for wood furniture repair and refinishing

Mr. Pulley is an artist. He was able to restore the dining table and chairs that had belonged to my husband's great-grandparents. The tabletop was especially damaged. It is now simply beautiful. He was also able to refinish two chairs that were used for years and years in the USNA dining hall. They look brand-new. The time frame that Mr. Pulley completed the work is especially impressive. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I have two large free standing cabinets that are about 20 years old. The doors started to get hard to close and after a while could not be closed at all. Mr Pulley came over and removed the cabinet doors, repaired them and came back and re installed them. They are as good as new. Mr. Pulley always does a great job.

I called and he came the next day for a free estimate. He took the table that day and returned it 3 weeks later. He was a very nice man.

I called Mr. Pulley & explained that I had 150-200 year old French country table, told him the size & that it was heavy & said he'd need someone to help him pick it up. He came out a few days later, looked at the table, & saw my other antiques. I asked him about anther small table that needed the top refinished, not antique, but his price was high to us & also wanted to see the quality of his work before we gave him more to do. Told him I got his name off Angie's List. After getting price of $750 for the whole table, was going to get the 35x75 inch top done for $600 since it lifted off. Then I decided to do the whole table since he said he would touch up the legs if he took the whole table. I asked him if he brought someone to help him load it. No, he said, I thought I would get a neighbor to help. No neighbors around here that time of day so my husband helped him load it on his pick up truck & off he went. He brought it back 6 days later. The finish on it was darker than the original finish & very dull & flat looking. No life to it. I asked him about it & he said it was antique & should be this way. It wasn't this way when we bought it in England. The finish was worn off in places which is the reason I called him but there was enough to see that what he did was not the same. My husband helped him unload the table & set it up again. Mr. Pulley was in a hurry to leave & though I saw places on the legs that were done, he said it was dust. There is no finish on the top of the table to keep it from getting scratched & when I wiped it off, some of the finish came off. When we went to pay him, I asked him about the 10% off for Angie's List customers. He said he didn't know any thing about that & if so, he should have charged us for pick up & delivery I spent yesterday thinking of this experience before I wrote this review today. I am sick when I look at my table & will call Bullocks in Odenton to come & see what they can do to fix this. I tried Mr. Pulley because of the good reviews on Angie's List but can't understand how he got them. Bullocks has done a beautiful job on my antique grandfather's clock & mahogany Drexel bar stools.. I was hoping to save money by hiring Mr. Pulley but you get what you pay for. I would never have him do any more work for me.. Looks like he rubbed stain over my table & that was it. Very disappointed.

His work is unbelievable!!! Mr. Pulley was very courteous and gave me a history of his years of experience when I met him. The furniture piece was old and had been in a vacant house for several years. There were deep scratches, paint marks, and a split in part of the wood. He said he would do his best to fix the split. He also said he would have it back to me before Thanksgiving, which was in another 12 days. To my surprise, I received the piece a little over a week later and before Thanksgiving. I could see the top of the piece as he brought it through the front door. I could not believe my eyes. I would have never thought my grandmothers furniture would have looked so beautiful. As for that split in the wood, you could not see it all. Mr. Pulley did a fantastic job!!! Of course, it was the topic of conversation with the friends who visited for Thanksgiving. I have several other pieces of antique family furniture which I refinished myself years ago. I did it as an amateur, and now I would like the pieces restored by a professional. Yes, I will be calling Mr. Pulley again to restore my family heirlooms. Thank you to Angie's List for recommending Mr. Pulley. I am so happy I found someone to help keep my family history alive.

Mr. Pulley was excellent. He responded to my call immediately and got the job done in a timely manner. The quality of the workmanship was excellent.

Mr. Pulley did a good job on a difficult repair project. He did the repair at my house and didn't have some tools that he needed. It was good that I was around to provide those to him. You could tell that he is a master refinisher and he takes pride in his work. I would use him again if needed.

He did a great job! He was punctual and professional! He told me it would take about a week and was right on! I did feel the price was a little high, but you get the quality of work that you pay for with pick up and delivery too! I recommend his services!
