Description of Work: Added a second bathroom. A bit slow to come and review possibilities. Design program was rather simplistic. For example, I was told the program would not allow showing a shower head moved from one wall to another. When contract was presented, they were all ready to get started and had demolition slated to begin the next day. Suddenly, I was informed that even though the computer design showed sink and toilet, I would be charged extra for all equipment. That, to me, is like buying a car, and then told it will cost extra for tires, headlights and a steering wheel. It ended up about an extra thousand dollars, and I still didn't get a medicine cabinet out of the deal. The one they put in was a recessed style that they couldn't recess because the plumbing went up right behind the wall. They ended up mounting in on the outside of the wall. A real "great" look, as you might imagine. I had to tell them to it was unsatisfactory. You might think that they shouldn't have even put it up, or that when it WAS up, they would take a look and say, "ouch, that looks horrid." BUT NOOOOOO, I had to tell them to remove it. Then there was the shower. The cold water came out fine, but the hot water just dribbled out. Do you think they should have realized something was wrong? They tried to make it my problem and said I must not have enough water pressure in the house. This, even though the other shower in the house was fine. I had to convince them it was a problem even though it was readily evident it was a problem. So, they had to cut a hole in the bedroom wall (since the tile was all in place) in order to get to the mixing valve to replace the valve. Some minor plaster issues, and finally all was OK.

Response from Noble Kitchen & Bath
Dear Mr. [Member Name Removed], Our apologies for your C level experience in working with us. I would like to point out that it was clearly explained that finish materials such as the tile, toilet, vanity, mirror and lighting were in addition to the labor and raw materials contract. This is because those selections we leave up to the client as every budget and desires are different. At the time of our meeting to sign the contract, we went over the contract with you and it was again explained to you the expenses outside of the labor. At that time, when you expressed hesitation due to your budget we gave you every opportunity to cancel the project and not sign the contract. You chose to move ahead with the project giving the designer a $1000-$1200 budget for selection of all items outside of the labor. We stayed within the budget at $1000. Regarding the shower valve - as per your instruction, the cheapest shower valve was selected (a generic brand). Unfortunately, the valve turned out to be defective. We replaced the valve with a very nice name brand plumbing part with absolutely no cost to you. The replacement of the valve solved the problem. Our best to you, Noble Kitchen & Bath

Description of Work: I paid for a bathroom remodel design consultation which provided a computer model of the design that was discussed. For my situation, as it turned out, the fee and computer model weren't of any real use because my bathroom layout couldn't be re-designed. Everything would only be able to be replaced and upgraded. Since no layout changes could be done, the computer model was of no real use to me. In addition, the cost for the labor required for replacing and upgrading the bathroom was more expensive than other places. I imagine that the computer model would have been worth it if I was truly redesigning the layout of the bathroom.

Overview: I was very happy with the final result from Paul Mobin and Noble Kitchen and Bath. Paul was very easy to work with. He was always on time for appointments and called beforehand when weather delayed the arrival of his crew. I liked his design ideas. He gave me the choice of several cabinet manufacturers . His was knowledgable regarding plumbing fixtures and gave me good advice for the items I shopped for and purchased. I was happy with the quality and workmanship of the construction crew led by Marvin. They were careful with my possessions and tried to minimize the inconvenience during the construction process. Paul was on budget and schedule. The finished product came out exactly as I hoped it would. I have tried to include before and after pictures of the kitchen with this review. Details: My house was built in 1984 and the kitchen had original vinyl flooring, basic cabinets and formica counters. The carpet in the living and dining rooms was original as well. The partial wall between the living and dining room made both rooms feel cramped. I had thought about updating the kitchen a few years ago and looked at flooring and granite, but got overwhelmed by all the remaining decisions. Last spring (2013) I researched and chose appliances, but still did not know what I wanted for layout, lighting, cabinetry, faucet, sink, etc. I contacted Paul last fall (2013) and he came to my house to provide a design consultation. He measured the space and discussed layout and lighting. He recommended removing the soffits (over the cabinets) to accommodate taller cabinets and placing additional cabinets over the corner sink. He also suggested hardwood throughout the first floor for continuity and provided an option of removing the partial wall dividing the dining room and living room. He left brochures with cabinet information. Shortly thereafter I visited his shop with my fiance and Paul provided 3 D designs of the kitchen from different views (elevations) both with and without cabinets over the corner sink. He showed us several cabinet options and let me borrow chip samples with different stain/glaze combinations as well as a small cabinet door to determine what they would look like at my house under various lighting conditions. Choosing the cabinetry was the most difficult part for me. Paul was very patient and helped my find the exactly what I was looking for, a warm shade of brown to contrast with the light maple floor and light tans and creams in my granite sample. I also shopped for the kitchen faucet and sink and Paul provided excellent advice regarding price points, reliability, aesthetics and durability. During construction, Marvin and his crew were very careful with my possessions. Before demolition, began, my grandfather clock, and china cabinet, range and refrigerator were moved to a safe spot and wrapped with plastic sheeting to protect them from dust. They also used plastic sheeting to seal off the stairwell to minimize dust on my second floor. During demolition, debris was either put directly in their trailer or bagged and put in my garage. Each night they often swept up or vacuumed before leaving. I was also happy with their workmanship. The drywall repairs are seamless where the wall between the living and dining room was removed. Before the hardwood was installed, they checked the subfloor, and screwed down problems areas to prevent squeaks. The mitered cuts in the baseboard and shoe moulding are generally tight. The base cabinets were leveled, and all cabinets are solidly installed. The doors are all level, they close flush, and swing easily. The fillers and crown moulding were expertly installed. The plumbing connections are all nice and neat, with no leaks or drips. The granite fabricators that Paul used were also excellent. The slab that I selected had a vein running through it near one of the edges, and they were able to avoid it while constructing the counters and backsplash. They were very careful during delivery and installation. The counters are level and look beautiful. The final result came out just as I hoped. Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room opened the space, greatly improved the sight lines, and made furniture placement easier. The kitchen is functional, with plenty of light and the materials are aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend Paul Mobin and Noble Kitchen and Bath.
Description of Work: Remodel kitchen and powder room, install hardwood flooring through out entire first floor (living room, dining room, entry hallway, powder room, kitchen and laundry room). Remove non load bearing wall between living room and dining room.

Searching for a contractor is something NO ONE WANTS TO DO. My house is over 30 years old and in need of major chaanges and repairs. After 5 bids, research, revisiting and mounds of questions to each contractor, Ichose Noble Ktichen and Bath. Let me tell you, if you choose this contractor for needs, please approach with CAUTION. Paul and his crew are amazing and you will not have any major concerns with their abilities, reliabilities or work ethics. With Noble Kitchen and Bath they do all the work with no subcontracting. You just got to love that! Here are reasons I will use Noble Kichen and Bath in the near future for other major or minor projects: Paul is reassuring, easy to talk to, polite, unbelievably patient; He listens to your ideas, and if needed would make suggestion(s); Paul is on site checking-in with his crew every day; You have concerns or questions...Paul is only a phone call away (he answers himself) and if he does not answer leave a message, he will call back in a short period of time; He keeps to the budget eve if there are unexpected surprises (within reason). Paul wants you to be happy with the job at completion and will make sure everything is complete to your satisfaction. Moving on the crew: They would arrive on time and get right to work; the jobs for the day were orchestrated between each member; every crew member was polite, friendly and always positive; the crew kept in touch with any changes that needed to be addressed, even when I was out of state; they always cleaned up before they left for the day. The workmanship was quality over all, but not without errors. Some finishing details were overlooked such as: sheetrock repairs, outlets placed at different heights in backsplash area, some outlets are loose when plugging in and out; one air vent under cabinet keeps falling out (vent set in vertical direction); many nail holes in baseboard and crown molding not filled in; a little sloppy on caulking work. From many past, bad nightmare experiences with contractors, I did not trust anyone. With Kitchen and Bath there is a specail aura that I found, along with trust and confidence not found with other contractors. I look forward to working with them again soon.

Paul was very nice and seemed to understand what we wanted. Might have been put out at fact that I want to do some work myself mainly demo and hardwood flooring. We wanted to remove a wall to open area up but we were having hard time imaging what that would look like. We were hoping his drawings would help us . he said he had done this in many homes and it made a huge difference. We were hoping drawing would show us the whole room not just cabinets as we are not changing layout of cabinets.

The gentleman that came out to our home was very professional and nice. Listened to what my concerns were for our small, outdated kitchen and did provide some ideas. He also sent the layout out to us in a very timely manner. However, the layout did not really give us any other options than what we had already come up with on our own and I while I realize his ultimate goal is to sell us a new kitchen, I believe his very high-end product selections were more than what our budget could afford and there did not seem to be lesser priced options available. As much as I would have liked to work with him, (I do believe he would have done quality work) I was not ready to spend what I think his ultimate cost would have been.
Description of Work: Provided us with a customized kitchen layout.

We started to talk to contractors back during the summer which we found through Angie list. Paul w/Noble Kitchens was the most thorough and provided us with the best drawings and also provided us with the most thorough written estimate. We wanted to completely renovate both bathrooms along with a light update of the kitchen but Paul convinced us with a great price on beautiful cabinets to renovate the kitchen also. We were not in a big hurry so it wasn't really an inconvenience when our job was pushed out about 3 weeks but we were extremely eager for our new bathrooms/kitchen so it was a relief to get started. Paul's work crew was extremely capable hard working and did a fine job containing all the dust and mess. We finally had to tell them to go home late one Saturday afternoon when they kept sweeping up what little dust remained from a hard day spent working so as to maintain the schedule. It took about a week for each project from start to completion and they were able to modify the schedule easily when problems cropped up such as product we ordered not coming in on time. We had some ideas for the tiling in both bathrooms that we were not able to finalize until demo had been done and construction was started so that we could see if our ideas were feasible. We had a few meetings with 4 and 5 people all crowded into our bathrooms going back and forth on how to proceed. We were able to put a ledge into the shower in our hall bathroom which accommodates all the many shower products needed by 2 teenagers and we ended up doing a full length niche with 4 ledges in our master bath when the wall studs didn't allow us to do 2 more typical size niches we originally intended. Both these improvisations turned out beautifully - a testament to the craftsmanship of Paul's talented work crew and the ability of Paul and Fernando, the foreman to manage the job.
Description of Work: Complete rehab of two bathrooms and kitchen. Demo of all existing finishes and cabinets and install new tile flooring including underfloor heating in master bathroom and tile surrounds at bathrooms. Install new cabinets and fixtures in bathrooms. Demo cabinets in kitchen and replaced all including new granite countertop.

In summary, my wife and I were pleased with all aspects of the job, and would gladly used Noble again in the future. I started with 8 local kitchen and bath re-modelers listed on Angie's list, and narrowed the list to three companies to request quotes. We visited three showrooms, including Noble's. We received quotes from the initial list of 3 companies, as well as one other independent contractor recommended to us. One quote was much higher than the others, and one was lower, but that contractor only gave me one reference who I was not able to reach. The quotes for Noble and one other were within a few dollars, and the references that I checked for both were very positive. In the end, I might have flipped a coin and had good experiences with either. One of the references for Noble said that they had used Noble for several jobs, and that Paul, the owner, was what she called a "pleaser". I selected Noble, and found that to be true from the beginning. Paul was polite, professional, prompt, patient and responsive from start to end. Paul went out of his way to find times that were convenient for us. As we worked through the statement of work that I prepared, I found him to be very flexible and accommodating. We listened carefully, and offered helpful suggestions throughout the process. Once we agreed on work to be done and price, we asked if he could complete the job before Christmas. He said that he could, and did so. His work crew was always on time, polite, professional and did quality work. They did what they said they would do, when they said they would, with no problems. They covered the hallway floors and carpets, and cleaned up after themselves each day. The entire job was completed in less than 3 weeks, and would have been shorter if all of the electrical fixtures which I had ordered had arrived on time. Noble did a great job and we plan to use them again.
Description of Work: Complete Bathroom Remodel including demolition to bare studs, then installation of drywall, carpentry including new door and door frame, tile floor, tub and tile surround, built-in cabinet, vanity with granite top, electrical and plumbing, installation of all fixtures and accessories, and painting. Price included vanity cabinet with top as well as the in-wall cabinet. Price did not include fixtures, tile or lighting which were supplied by owner.

We could not be happier with the results -- the kitchen was our dream kitchen come true. We recently put the house up for sale -- it sold in a little over a week and we were told by the agent that the kitchen and hardwood floors sold the house. Paul was so helpful with the initial planning of the project. We incorporated many of his suggestions but he was also very sensitive to our personal style and needs and the kitchen turned out exactly the way we wanted it to. The team was great to work with and kept the disruption to the rest of the house and to our life, in general, to a minimum. The job was completed on time and on budget. As we move to our next home, we plan to hire Noble Kitchens and Bath to update our new house.

Paul was very helpful in his suggestions for the remodel but I feel he didn't truly listen to what I wanted. I was a little disappointed that it took him 3 weeks to get me the floor plan drawings and only sent them because I called. When I did receive it, the changes that I asked for were not included and, specifically, I told him I did not want corner cabinets and they were included in both corners. He also added appliances that I didn't want. I wanted a floor plan of what I'd like to have for a kitchen, not someone else's concept. All in all, the drawings were comprehensive but not what I envisioned.

Paul responded promptly to schedule an appointment at my house . He arrived precisely on time and we walked through my house and kitchen. It is almost 30 years old and and I have not updated anything yet, but I had begun researching materials for flooring and granite. He listened to my ideas, answered my questions and made severals suggestions regarding the cabinets and bulkheads, work flow, and appliances. A week later I met him at his shop to review the two different 3-D designs with various elevations (perspectives). He also showed my girlfriend and I cabinet styles and lent us wood chip samples to see how the various colors stains and glazes would look in my kitchen. It has been an iterative process to pick cabinet details ( manufacturer, style, wood type, stain ...) and Paul has been patient and very easy to work with. He is personable and seems knowledgable. I finally finished my selections and Paul returned to my house to provide a complete estimate and contract. The estimate is reasonable to me and I am strongly considering using his company to do the work.
Description of Work: Paul of Noble Kitchen and Bath provided a consultation, design and estimate for remodeling my kitchen and the entire first floor of my house. I purchased this through an Angie's List Deal

They accomplished what was indicated that is a kitchen design. I think the difficulty for us is that what he came up with is quite a bit more expensive that what we were thinking we could do. That's not his fault, that's ours. He took a lot of time, he measured things thoughtfully, he's here an our and a half and then he came back and went over the design with us. It was definitely worth the money. The thing is we were hoping we could do something so we would have more counter space but the plan that he came up with involved a lot of construction, moving things and adding some things and it took more money than what we wanna put into it. I'd like to keep what he did was very positive, we liked him, we liked the design, we just can't probably follow through with all the recommendations just to change countertops and add one little thing, I'm not sure it's going to do it. We have a very weird kitchen, it's only 12 years old but it's small to begin with and there just isn't very much counter space. We have a peninsula on the right side as you enter but there's a pantry there so he wanted to move the pantry to the little room next door, close that off, make the peninsula into just a regular counter with cabinets above it and put those to the sides which open up the whole place then put an island to the left side but we would have to buy new washer and dryer because the other room is a laundry room. It was just a lot of stuff and maybe he's used to doing a lot of stuff I guess. I think what he came up was the only thing possible thing that can be done in there because it is weird. He was a very nice man and he spent time, he listened about my husband's and my concerns and he took that into account and design. He must have spent some time putting it on the computer too so we could see it in kind of 3D. I'd probably use him if we had bigger job.

Paul Mobin's company Noble Kitchen and Bath is a full service remodel company that I will continue to call for any future projects and am happy to recommend to any of my friends, family and acquaintances. Our remodel project started with designs created by Mr Mobin for the kitchen remodel, creation of a powder room on the main floor and designs for the basement which was completely unfinished. His designs made the best use of the space and transformed the outdated house into a very pleasing floor plan. We were able to keep the budget completely manageable with no major surprises during the remodel process. Mr Mobin's lead construction foreman, Bijan Haghjou was extremely professional maintaining the highest level of quality workmanship. His creativeness and problem solving abilities were exceptional. Water problems caused by the original construction of the home were discovered and completely resolved before finishing off the basement. We were so impressed with things that could have been painted over or disguised were corrected and often improved without additional cost added to our budget. The project included new wood floors, new porcelain tile kitchen floor, new travertine master bath installation and new carpet. All surfaces were repainted and new lighting installed. I am very pleased with the final result of the job and every aspect of dealing with Mr Mobin, Mr Haghjou and the team and Noble Kitchen and Bath.
Description of Work: Paul Mobin with Noble Kitchen and Bath performed a complete remodel of my parent's home in Manassas, VA in order to update it so we could put the house on the market for sale. Mr Mobin's professionalism went above and beyond the normal. He expedited the project and helped us to complete the remodel inside of 3 weeks. His team lead by foreman Bijan Haghjou worked furiously and with great attention to detail. All the members of his team were courteous and on time. The kitchen was completely remodeled as well as 2 bathrooms. An additional powder room was added to the existing floor plan as well. The unfinished basement was remodeled to create 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The work done by Paul Mobin and his team at Nobel Kitchen and Bath succeeded in selling the house within the first week of going on the market during a time that the market was not doing well for home sales. I couldn't be happier with the results and the speed that this project progressed and was completed.

Noble Kitchens provided a level of care that was at times beyond the call of duty. As a real estate developer in Washington DC area our condo buyers are extremely detailed and educated requiring an extra level of care. Any time we ran into difficulty with a particular unit Noble Kitchens was there to support and find innovative ways to solve our problems. In this business , time is of the essence and Noble Kitchens was very sensitive to our special needs and demands. After delivery of 18 units on time with a great quality of workmanship. I would hardily recommend this company to anyone who is entertaining putting in a new kitchen or bath. One can feel very confident that the work will be competed on time and pass inspection.
Description of Work: Install complete kitchens, from cabinets and hardware, counter tops, and all associated item regarding the kitchen. Installed bathroom tiles, fixtures and lighting. These were a total of 18 condo units. I am currently having Noble Kitchens review the potential of another 30 condo units starting in three months.

They did an excellent job and Paul the owner is a patient and great listener. He made great suggestions, without being pushy. Paul does not have a one size fits all approach and provided various types of cabinets and fixtures letting me decide on what combination of price features were worth it to me. The price I thought was reasonable and better than what I got from Home Depot. His workmen are very polite and cleaned up along the way. Tearing out the old bathroom was not an easy process and nobody complained about any issues that came up. I am pleased with the entire bathroom and it went very smoothly.
