I was extremely pleased with the process, from beginning to end. The workmanship was exceptional. Everyone on the job site worked very hard and was very courteous. Owner Paul and his crew were great. They are all friendly and professional. I would hire them again. Paul was easy to work with every time we spoke. Paul was also able to get our patio in earlier than the initial discussions with his current backlog. He under promises and over delivers. We also made two, day of pour changes and Paul and his crew didn't even bat an eye. It was "no problem, we can do that". Our stamped concrete patio turned out exactly like the picture we choose on his website.

Very well, demolition took one day and job was finished by 2pm next day. Crew was extremely helpful and courteous. Not one bit of debris was left behind.

Our original Crofton, MD driveway (40 years) had multiple cracks throughout. Paul’s team arrived on time to remove the entire 2 car wide driveway, apron and small sidewalk area leading to front porch and replaced with reinforced concrete to reveal a great transition from street level to front porch. Final light brushing gave it the sure-footed safety factor. The job was completed in one day. The written quote Paul provided was very detailed & fair. I was in awe as the team worked the entire time to produce what I feel is a work of art. Many neighbors have already commented how good the new driveway looks. And having an underground sprinkler system with 8 heads less than 3” from the work zone, Paul’s team worked carefully worked around them all and all are working just fine. It could not have been a better experience. Met with Paul for the initial assessment and quote. He gave a time frame and it was perfect. He said the team would be here at 8am. He arrived with them to make sure we were all on the same page for the jobs. His crews got to work immediately. They were all about getting the job done correctly, cleanly and timely. Both of the areas were done by 3pm. All the areas were cleaned as if no one was here. The best part is the patio spaces are amazing and my water problems are GONE!!!!!

This was the second time I've used Maryland Curbscape and have been very pleased both times. Paul worked closely with me as I had very specific design ideas that I wanted to create. He was patient, thorough and made it happen. It's beautiful. The crew was courteous, hard working and clean. They removed an old patio and path concrete without destroying the surrounding landscaping. They expertly installed a french drain to help with a backyard ponding problem and laid a new, modern concrete patio and pathways from the street to our front door and around both sides of the house. After the concrete was complete, I used mexican beach pebbles, white stone, and metal edging to finish the project as planned. Couldn't be happier with the work that was done.

We recently moved into our house in Upper Marlboro and were looking to do something with our walkout patio, a 10’ x 17’ concrete slab. We considered brick pavers and various other design options and finally decided to simply expand the existing 10’ x 17’ patio to roughly twice the area and have the surface stamped with a flagstone pattern with a compass rose inserted. We spent a great deal of time considering various contractors, visiting showrooms, soliciting bids, etc. We chose Maryland Curbscape for a number of reasons, most importantly, because theirs was the most competitive, all-inclusive bid. Others submitted lower initial prices, but after adding stamping, edging, staining, coloring, etc., the prices were higher, in some cases, significantly. Initially, weather and various commitments made it difficult to arrive on a firm start date, but as soon as we did, everything went fine. On the start date Paul arrived ahead of his crew and marked out the area. His crew arrived on time and went right to work breaking up the existing concrete slab, excavating and leveling the area, and laying down a wire mesh. A concrete truck arrived later that morning and his crew shuttled wheel barrel loads of wet concrete (apparently contains fiberglass milling strands for re-enforcement, but I couldn’t tell by looking at it) from the truck to the back of the house where the patio is, then dumped, smoothed and leveled the concrete, let it sit for roughly an hour; applied an edge and the flagstone and compass stamps, and finally, spread a powder on top. The concrete needs to cure for at least a day and when they returned, they pressured washed the surface, painted the compass rose, and sealed the entire thing. Paul’s crew was courteous and other than the jack hammering and pressure washing, weren’t loud or obnoxious when they were working, and importantly, kept the worksite clean. The finished product is at least 3500psi industry standard, and we’re very happy with the finished product – indeed, we’re considering having the concrete pad in front of our garage and walkway leading to the front door done to match the patio. If we go that route, then we’ll definitely use Paul Joseph and Maryland Curbscape, so yes, we’d absolutely recommend him. Very pleased.

Great! The estimate was under budget and 3 other companies' estimates. Paul had helpful ideas and the workers were professional and efficient. They arrived when promised, finished on time and did a great job. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Maryland Curbscape again.

Our experience with Maryland Curbscape could not have been better! The original reason I called Paul (the owner) was to just replace a broken sidewalk. After running a wish list of other items by him and hearing his solutions and pricing for all of them, we decided to get it all done! Paul was great throughout the process, keeping us updated on next steps and answering our follow-up questions. On the day of the service, I asked if he could change the design and add an extra pathway...he said no problem! The work was done in one day...it looks better than I could have possibly imagined! The little details Paul & the team added (i.e. curved corners), really add to the design. Had I know just how good this was going to look, I would have had it stamped (as opposed to just plain concrete). I cannot wait to have Maryland Curbscape back to spruce up my backyard and garden beds!

Paul was very responsive to my request for a quote, and in coming to do the estimate, and came by the morning of the install to reconfirm what was to be done. The crew - and the various equipment needed - arrived on time throughout and did excellent work, and clearly took pride in what they did, continuing to do small touchups after the major work was finished.

Paul's crew prepped and poured the 17x14 stamped patio in a day. When I came home everything appeared to be done (although a follow up day for sealant was necessary). The surround area around the patio was cleaned up, back-filled and racked smooth. The cost was about $5K which was cheaper than our estimates for pavers or a composite deck. One additional observation, Curbscaping's website was a main draw to the company. The site had numerous photos of their work which allowed me to visualize their final product in our yard setting.

I highly recommend Paul's company Maryland Curbscape. I needed a small section of an old driveway replaced and several other companies would not even call me back for a job that size. Paul called me right back, came right out, recommended the fix and had his crew out to fix my driveway within the week. There were no surprises with this job - Paul was very responsive and answered all my questions, work was done quickly and properly. One more thing, his price was several hundred dollars lower than the other estimates I had previously received!
