Maryland Curbscape

Submitted a request for a quote on a Friday morning. Received a call back within an hour and a on-site quote by noon. Paul was very friendly and was happy to answer any questions we had. Scheduled to have the work complete the following Tuesday. Got a call the day before telling us what time they would be out and they were on schedule. Work was complete and area cleaned up by early afternoon. We will definitely be considering them in the future for a stamped concrete patio. Great company!

This is the second time using this company. The first time was a great experience the second not as good. Basically I pre paid for the job with no written contract and 2 parts of the project were overlooked or underestimated. The quality of work is fine but it’s not what I originally pre paid $4000 for or ultimately wanted, so that’s where the disappointment is with this project. I highly recommend you have a written agreement with any contractor you use so things are less likely to be overlooked (common knowledge I know but I felt that confident in this company after the first project they did for me). Paul did refund me a portion ($175) for the miscalculation of not ordering enough concrete to complete a small 1’ wall. He also explaining to me that sometimes the concrete delivery company can be at fault for the shortage of materials. However he was unable to make up for a drain pipe that was to be installed for my rain gutter before the patio was poured. (Obviously nothing can be done after you pour the concrete) As I said previously the quality of work is good and I’m sure these were honest mistakes but it doesn’t change the fact that I didn’t get what I paid for.

We had been researching contractors for a patio replacement for weeks. I was beginning to get discouraged by the pricing and unreliability of the other companies We had reached out to. I could tell Maryland curbscape was different from the start. Paul was very friendly, professional, punctual, and honest. He answered all of my questions while keeping me updated with the whole process from start to finish. He also helped me bring my ideas to life with his knowledge and experience. I couldn't be happier with the finished outcome! The crew was great too! Nice, friendly and cleaned up after themselves daily. Their work is masterful and worth every penny paid. I can't stop looking at my new patio! It's amazing to say the least! I highly recommended this company if you are looking for top notch, affordable work that will transform your homes exterior for the better. I will definitely be using them for future projects. I couldn't have asked for better service. Paul came out and provided me with a quote that was right in line with my research. Paul introduced me to the crew on the first day. They started the job on time and worked fast to remove the old asphalt and concrete, and get the forms up for the new driveway (1 day). The new concrete was poured and finished by the end of day 2. The brush finish on the driveway looks great, but the smooth finish in the garage looks fantastic! The crew was polite and hard working. They cleaned up at the end of the day and set up caution tape to prevent any unfortunate mishaps while the concrete was curing. I'm extremely happy with the work performed and the communication with Maryland Curbside. I would definitely hire them, again.

Let me begin by saying that I cannot express how impressed we are with Paul (owner) and his employees at Maryland Curbscape. From immediately returning my call for an estimate, the scheduling, an AMAZING price and the completion of the work, everything went smoothly from start to finish. The entire job only took three (3) days from start to finish despite the fact that just about every piece of concrete was replaced (minus one walkway) and that caution had to be taken around the pool as our liner was brand new. Anyone reading this review surely wants to know what this job cost and to see photos. Both of which I will provide. Addressing price first. I had several estimates given for the work needing to be done and will say that Paul was the only person who gave me a straight quote from the beginning. He did not assume that we could or could not afford the work needing to be done, nor did he belittle our concerns of landscaping issues (tree transplanting or removal), possible pool liner/railing damage, digging a trench, etc. and actually helped greatly and resolved any doubts we may have had. Paul did not provide us the cheapest quote I received ($14,000), nor was he any where near the highest quote I had been offered ($28,000) but was right where I'd hoped the price would be for quality work and not a rip-off ($19,000). I should also note that Paul and his guys put up with a ton of grief dished out by my old, retired, grumpy neighbor who wanted to raise hell about concrete dust. I'm very impressed by their professionalism and continuing to get the job completed despite that unfortunate harassment. In closing I would like to thank Paul and all the employees of Maryland Curbscape who helped make our landscaping project a huge success. I will recommend this company to anyone and will be keeping an advertisement sign in my yard until the snow buries it!

Everything went smoothly. When they came out for the quote, they first suggested about a month out but since that wasn't a good date for us, they fit us in over the weekend. Paul, the owner, was great to work with. Him and his crew were friendly, punctual, completed the job in a very timely manner, did a good job cleaning the area afterwards. The finished product looks great. The crew was great to work with and Paul was very attentive to the project. Couldn't have asked for better service. Timeline: called for information on a Thursday afternoon. He came out on Friday morning to look at the job and give a quote. They started the job Saturday morning, and finished it up on Sunday.

Fantastic. I strongly recommend this company. Paul and his crew are great people and very professional. They did the work as promised on time and within my budget for the project. They took great care in meeting all of my concerns and my high expectations. The stamped concrete work now give us beautiful patio space that was an eye sore before and the borders look great and makes mowing a joy.

From start to finish Paul and Maryland Curbside were great. Price was competitive. Tear-out of old driveway, forms for sidewalk/drive were set and resealing of patio occurred on Day 1. Day 2 was adding crushed stone under-layment and pouring the sidewalk and driveway. They were done by 2PM. Paul was easy to work with; this included a minor change in driveway forms. Emailed him in the evening and forms were changed by 6:15a the next morn. Would also add a word about Maryland Curbscape crew. They took great care with the property. Clean up was complete. Only evidence that they were there was some cement dust on the grass that washed away. A lot of hustle as the underlayment was installed and the concrete poured. Particularly like the fact that one of the crew stationed himself next to our cars (which were on the street) as the concrete trucks came and went. Shows an attention to other things than just getting the concrete poured. Product is curing now and it looks great. We couldn't be happier.

Very easy to work with. Competitive price. Had an issue with some cracking on the fringe of the driveway. Maryland Curbscape came back and made it right. Excellent service.

I already had a patio that was between buff and sand color. When he did it the job the workmanship was excellent, the stamping was great, but the coloration between the new and old stamped concrete didn't quiet match up. He was very accommodating with this and we were able to find a resolution that worked for both of us, he was extremely good to work with and would use them again if I had another job.

They came out on Monday (the holiday) and broke up the old sidewalk -- being careful not to damage the drive or the existing pads and walks that weren't being replaced. The front walk had been hit repeatedly by our plow company and just needed to be replaced. Paul suggested we pressure wash the old concrete that was not being replaced to freshen it up -- and that was a great suggestion! Concrete was poured the next day and they even did a small ramp to our kitchen door. I was very pleased with the job, their professional attitude, and their sticking to the schedule.

Overall, great experience. Paul the owner was extremely responsive to calls and texts. He explained everything very detailed before the project. He came out the morning of the project and reviewed all of the details for accuracy. The project was completed several weeks before the original planned date. His team including the dumpster staff, work staff and the cement truck were all very professional and all on time!! All very respectful of our yard and neighborhood. The workers that did the removal, set up and pouring never stopped working, even when it started to rain hard. The final product was much better than I expected.

My concrete driveway had sunken about five inches from the base of my garage and had a significant crack in three of the four main sections. Paul came by and talked us through options for replacement and suggested that we replace the entire driveway and not just the sections that had cracked. He also quoted us a price on the spot and clearly described the work that he would perform. When I received the written quote it had all the details exactly as we had discussed. I felt good about our interaction and my research, and my wife agreed, so I notified him a few days later that he had the job. On the day of replacement, Paul and his crew showed up early (about fifteen minutes). Paul again explained to me the work he would be doing. Everything went like clockwork from the removal of the old concrete, to the site preparation, laying of gravel and the arrival of the concrete truck. The work went exactly as planned, except for a broken hydraulic hose. Fortunately, they were able to find a replacement at a local store not far away. In spite of this hiccup, they still completed the project by early afternoon. The end result is that we now have a fantastic looking solid driveway with no more cracks, puddling of water or five inch drop from the garage. We are receiving steady compliments on our driveway from our friends and neighbors. I am very pleased with the entire experience of my interaction with Maryland Curbscape.

Paul, from Maryland curbscape, responded immediately to my call and set up a date to do the job. Pictures were sent so he had an idea how big a job it was. Because this is a rental property, he emailed me the finished product and I was completely satisfied, and my tenant was quite happy with the finished product, also. I found Paul and his company to be very professional and will use him again for another project in the near future. He is highly recommended!

Paul was extremely professional, friendly, and responsive from our initial contact to Maryland Curbscape. We had several areas on our concrete driveway in need of repair (& getting much worse over time). Paul worked our project into their busy schedule and did a fantastic job repairing the concrete driveway. It is no surprise why Maryland Curbscape has excellent reviews on Angie's List. We definitely recommend this company to others and will absolutely have them back if/when we need additional work in the future!

Paul's estimate was by far the best, and his plan met my goals. He was able to come out the first warm days of March to demolish and repour a new porch. It was very well done, with good cleanup, and I am very satisfied. It was a good experience from beginning to end.

From the moment I messaged Paul through Angie's list to completion it has all been overwhelmingly great. Paul promptly contacted me and scheduled a time to come out and look at what I was wanting done. gave me a rough estimate with plain concrete, stamped concrete, and colored concrete. After discussing with my wife I called Paul back and informed him the decision we came up with and he promptly started on the contract and scheduling everything to get done. Within a week we were done with it. He gave advice for care for these first few days and it looks great.

This went very well. Mr. Paul Joseph is a man of his word. He did what he said he would do and he did it in an excellent way. I especially appreciate the consideration he made for my elderly parents. I would do business with him again. His work crew was diligent and respectful.

It went fine, I think they were overwhelmed with the response to their ad because, it took them a while to get out here, but I was OK with that. It didn't inconvenience me at all. Even though he was late in getting here, he stayed in communication. Once we set a date, he was on time. The work was not as nice as I would have liked it. The concrete and the way that they smoothed it out, there were a lot of imperfections. It wasn't completely smooth. He was very busy and he made it clear that he was getting a lot of work through this Angie's list ad. I would consider using him again.
