1st TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! 2nd The Black male was totally RUDE! 3rd-The Options are both OFFENSIVE & COUNTER PRODUCTIVE! 4th- I left the store and will now wait for notification and a replacement! Again, I will have to return to Best Buy. Keep in Mind that the replacement I requested to replace the DEFECTIVE CD cost $14.99 vs the defective CD cost 5.99! I am a 'Secret Shopper' and I am a Professional Consultant, ( TSR Call Center Professionals) I have a very SIMPLE SOLUTION! bottom line I will not deal with Best Buy and or it's return policy as applied to defective products! Amanda was Prompt, Pleasant & Professional, inspite of her multi visits to her Doctor, she has her foot in a cast, but she offered to go and get my replacement CD, within (3) three days she had done what she said she would do! Description of Work: Best Buy personnel (2) CS Agent + CS Mgr. REFUSED to accept and resolve my issues! 1st Black male/mail said, 'You 'CANNOT', get a alternate CD for the defective one you wish to return, You 'CANNOT' exchange for another more expensive CD and pay the additional $6.00. I told this totally dis interested man that I had proactively tried to find a replacement and it was 'out-of-stock', he said then there was nothing he could do. Keep in mind I had made the purchases (3) three day previously. I responded with amazement by asking to speak to the Mgr on duty, (10) ten minutes later 'Mgr.Dietz' ( female with a brace on her foot) came over to me and (without any verbal inter-action said as she handed me a piece of paper, the provided sheet of paper she told me did NOT allow for a return for a new item or any exchange except for the same exact CG, which again I told her was out of stock and Ms. Dietz told me again this is our Best Buy policy. I told her that I want to seek some other SOLUTION if one existed. She now (15 min later) called another store, located a replacement and told me she herself would drive to the other Best Buy and pick up my CD! She said she had a Doctor's appointment later the same day (20feb15-FR). I accepted this UNACCEPTABLE option she obtained my phone number I told me she would call when it was available!

I would never go there again. They are overpriced. They kept my computer for a week. I had to get on their case because they were just taking their time about it. I ended up buying a second computer just as a backup.
Description of Work: I used The Geek Squad at Best Buy because my computer had a virus and they had to get rid of it.

Best Buy has everything you could possibly imagine. You can find everything you could ever need. The checkout is fast. They have security people watching at all times. They were out of batteries for my cell phone. I went and talked to the service manager and they found me one right away.

They did a great for what they had to with. One of the computers was cleaned up and all the information and programs were saved. The other computer lost data but the Geek Squad did better than we had expected them to do for the 2nd computer. The price was fair and I would recommend them.
Description of Work: We had taken 2 laptop computers in to be repaired. They both had viruses. The hard drives needed to be cleaned up.

WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICE. THE BEST BUY CHECK VERIFICATION SERVICE WOULD NOT ALLOW US TO WRITE A CHECK FOR SUCH A LARGE AMOUNT AND OUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD WAS NOT ACTIVE SINCE WE HAD ALREADY MADE A PURCHASE THAT DAY. WE WERE FORCED TO GET A CERTIFIED CHECK FROM OUR BANK FOR PAYMENT FOR THE ITEMS. THIS WAS QUITE A HASSLE.
Description of Work: WE PURCHASED SEVERAL ITEMS FROM THE MAGNOLIA HOME THEATER SECTION. WE PURCHASED A TV, PRINTER, SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM, COMPUTER SYSTEM.
