Response from Charles E Jackson Construction
I am sorry to receive this report from the member. Having researched my notes I see that I tried to call her on 3 separate occasions (at the phone number provided by the client). When several weeks went by and I never heard back from her, I assumed that he’d changed his mind or found someone else to do the work. Now though, having read this report and reviewed my notes, I can only assume that there was some sort of breakdown, and that she didn’t get any of my messages. Customer responsiveness is a fundamental principle of my business and I work hard to provide prompt client-call-backs. I called and spoke with the member the first time but when I tried to call back to schedule an appointment, I only reached her voicemail. I regret that she and I didn’t connect, as I believe that we could have worked something out. Every other report about me on Angie’s List has been really great, and I’d like for all of my clients to feel happy about my responsiveness and about my work. While I don’t agree with this report, I do understand that unfortunate mistakes happen, and I respect Mr. Crawford’s right to vent his grievances. I hope that Mr. Crawford found someone better suited for his needs and that whatever problem he had, has been resolved. No hard feelings. While negative reports, especially under such confusing circumstances, are a challenge, this experience has provided me the opportunity to reiterate that it’s my policy to return customer calls on the SAME DAY. To anyone reading this response: if you ever feel dissatisfied about my responsiveness or about my work, let’s talk about it and try to work something out. I’d much prefer to hear about your complaints from you and have the chance to do something about it, and not be surprised by a negative report on Angie’s List.
