Price was OK at first but then on the first day of sanding they tried to tack on an additional $1,500 for repairs that I had already asked to be included in the quote. The workers entered an area of our house that was not being worked on and helped themselves to using our personal belongings. An area of the floors was left shiny and bubbly due to lack of buffing and they didn't want to come back and fix it. Shawn, our sales guy, was cold, unresponsive, and acted like he didn't want our business from the start. They also made an unauthorized charge on the credit card I had used for the deposit. This company is unprofessional and I would never recommend them to anyone.

Salesman came and measured project. There was not anything different between my description of the project and what he quoted in his new estimate with the exception of tucking under carpet leading into bedrooms on a tack stip which was laid for this purpose by the carpet installtion folks. They wanted $200 for what couldn't take more than 15minutes and requires no special tools. The new estimate was 13% more than the high end of their quote over the phone. While I thought they high end quoted over the phone was a bit much for the services ($18/sf for hall), I was leaning toward going forward, but not with the increase in the estimate. Also, I asked if he was on Angie's list and if so if he offered a discount. I scoffed at the notion of giving a discount on such a small project ($5100). $5100 for hardwood stairs and a 85sf hallway is not a "small" project in my budget.

While not the most affordable quote that I received from flooring vendors, I was impressed by the information provided during the initial site visit as well as the substance of the original quote and supporting documents (including a LONG list of prior clients in our neighborhood). The difference in initial quote from other vendors was probably about $500 (and considering how many other repairs and purchases I need in this new home, this wasn't an amount I easily gave up)... but between the confidence that I felt in the quality of their work and their working with me to schedule a crew to get the work done before our move-in date (less than 3 weeks from our selection of them as vendor), I was willing to spend the extra money. I am so grateful that I did select this company. The floors are beautiful, the employees that I spoke with and met with were helpful and knowledgeable, and we got the work done and dried before our move-in date! With a young child, and expecting another one shortly, I was also very grateful during our initial walk-through/estimate site visit that the company owner informed me that a waterbased finish was available that would have less odor (I believe no-VOC, similar to the ratings for paint). When an additional visit was needed to complete some work on stair risers (we went back and forth on whether or not to paint the risers or stain them), the crew was able to fit us in to their work schedule quickly, and got the work done.

Our visit to the Beers Flooring showroom was very good. The sales person was an expert in flooring both from the product standpoint and the installation. We decided on some "Luxury Vinyl Tile" for our basement. The workmen showed up on the appointed date and were very professional. They did everything to please us and were interested in making our rooms have the best possible look. They hauled away all of the old flooring (carpet) and left us with the extra materials they did not use. I will definitely use them again!

Salesman Tom was very pleasant and gave us an estimate on the spot. Quality appeared to be good. The estimate was higher that others and we went with another company.

The color and finish applied were good. The problem came into play when I needed them to come back and finish and repair some work.. The toe molding and vent covers were installed without the color and finish applied. Because the floor is similar in color to the original wood it took a while to realize this. I also had a problem with a particular area, which was a problem before refinishing. I had discussed this with the installer and he thought he could fix it. It did not work and I called them back. Some one did come back to fix it , but when the repairman told me his solution I told him that was tried and would not work. Instead of doing what I wanted he did his thing and promised to come back if the problem returned. It returned andl I tried for 6 months to get someone to come back. I have called, left messages on the owners cell phones, and sent emails. I recently had another company come in and give me a quote for the work. I plan on getting it fixed and the work that needs to be finished done. I will then see them in court!

They did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend them. They took a personal approach and took great pride in their work.

I RECEIVED THREE ESTIMATES. THEY WERE THE MOST EXPENSIVE OF THE THREE. THEY HAD BEAUTIFUL DECORATIVE AND INLAY HARDWOOD FLOORING. THE ESTIMATE WAS FREE BUT HAD TO BE SCHEDULED FROM THE SHOWROOM OFFICE. BECAUSE OF THEIR HIGH PRICE, I DID NOT CHOSE THEM.
